I have bought my last 2 vehicles from different carmax locations and have always had great experiences (Savannah and Chamblee). However, this one was absolutely terrible. The woman I spoke with on the phone prior to coming in was so friendly and helpful, so I was excited to come in and test drive a Lexus. Upon arriving, the parking lot was an absolute nightmare with cars just sitting around and blocking the lanes to enter/ exit, tow trucks getting uncomfortably close, etc. After I found my spot I went inside and was helped immediately. However - when it was time to test drive the associate just handed me the keys, said "see you in 20 minutes" and walked back inside? Nobody cared to show me a single feature on the car. The inside and outside were both in very poor condition - the rims were completely scratched up, the interior was dirty and smelled like straight cigarettes. We even found a plastic knife on the floor? The price was ridiculous considering the condition. I Immediately knew this wasn't the car for me and decided to leave. The parking lot was even more of a disaster as I walked up to my loaner car that I drove here. There was a carmax employee trying to back a Mercedes onto a tow truck right next to me - she pulled forward and was maybe 3 inches away from hitting my back bumper. I asked them all to stop so I could move the car out of the way, and upon getting to the door I noticed a ding in the paint that wasn't there before!!! You can even see where someone tried rubbing it off. All of the employees standing around had a HORRIBLE attitude towards me right off the bat and flat out said "it's not our problem". I asked the manager if they can please check the cameras to see what happened but they claim they don't have any?? I was looking right at them all over the lot!! I was frustrated yet extremely polite with all things considered and get that these things can happen anywhere, but the way the situation was handled by the staff was extremely unprofessional. I told the manager I wouldn't be returning and she just turned her back and walked away. Cannot stress avoiding this location enough - Buying a car from untrustworthy people is never a good idea and they do not take proper care of the vehicles.

    The screen congratulates!

I had a car in mind that I wanted to trade with before my birthday gets here and I try to see what they offer me. It was a good offer! Then I go ahead fill out the form online while I was at work made appointment to test drive at the end of the day. I had all documents they needed from me since I have this in mind.. Shenita was very helpful and explained every little detail, makes it so easy for me and I went home with my new car that exact same day, 10days earlier than my birthday! I recommend this place for every one the staff knows what they are doing. They are fast and making sure you are satisfied. I want to thank Shanita Monroe specially greet me very well when I walk in. Take me to her table and make this happen maximum in two hours with my test drive. You will never regret if you go this place

This is my third time at Carmax and 2nd time using the same salesperson. I do see some of the reviews as this location being very iffy but I will try to be fair and honest in my review. Here's how it went for me: John G. Is my salesperson and I've worked with him a few good times. Carmax is known for always being reliable and having affordable easy to source loans for you to get the car of your choice. Even though they sell used cars they are typically in pretty good condition. In fact - their website has one of thee best searching criteria I've seen on the market ! I knew exactly what I was in search for as a second car option so I had down to meet John for a test drive. They have an approval and buying process online that doesn't work forreal. Think of it as an "estimate" for what you'll really pay when you get there. The cars I wanted were not at the location but as with my other experience I was determined to find a decent car so I would not have to travel far out. I purchased a white Corolla and John patiently worked with me the entire time beginning to end. Even with me coming in later in the day I had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Would go again.

Prices way too high and not well kept inventory. Honestly don't waste your time going here and go to another dealership down the road.

But they know the tires on the cars ain't sh- and we'll just add in a tired package to your loan to fix it. I went with their bank choice Westlake which was so bad in rates and obviously refinanced asap. They where good about asking me if I paid and hyping up the capabilities of the car but then the car couldn't do half the stuff they listed and if you can ask me about pay answer other things wrong with the car. Like why the brakes needed flushing since March but I bought it in August. Didn't notice the warning cause they probably reset it over and over again so I got the warning after I already drove off the lot. I'm making the best of the car but the price compared to what it is was not fair and completely inflated. For that I cannot recommend this place and would not. Where I thought I was saving getting a used car I couldn't have spent the same and got it new. Just a no go. Oh and they added on gap coverage without asking as well. So thankfully once I refinanced I was refunded the extra packages but not a return or suggest feeling for this business.

Unfortunately, my experience turned into the worst car-buying experience I've ever had. After taking delivery, I discovered numerous issues that were never disclosed before the sale. The vehicle had evidence of improper repairs, frame damage, rust, water intrusion, loose exterior trim that was falling off, and other mechanical and cosmetic problems that should have been identified before being offered for sale. It became clear that this was not the quality of vehicle that had been represented. When I contacted the dealership, getting assistance was frustrating. I experienced poor communication throughout the process, including sales representatives hanging up on me instead of addressing my concerns. Eventually, the dealership agreed to buy the vehicle back. However, I was disappointed to learn that the same vehicle is apparently being offered for sale again! The amount of time, stress, and inconvenience caused by selling a vehicle with undisclosed defects, and the difficulty I encountered trying to resolve the situation, means I cannot recommend doing business here.

**Very disappointing experience -- potential customers should be extremely careful**…read more I am posting this review because I want other potential customers to know about my experience with Autoplex Atlanta before leaving a deposit or making the trip to the dealership. I went to Autoplex Atlanta with my son because I was interested in purchasing a used Mercedes-Benz for him. We had a confirmed appointment, and before we drove to the dealership, I specifically verified that the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS was physically on the lot and ready for us to see. I also explained that I had a very tight schedule and needed to know that the vehicle was actually there before making the approximately one-hour drive through traffic. I was assured that the car was there and ready to be seen. When we arrived, we were told by Khris that the EQS did not have a windshield, so we could not even properly see, inspect, or test-drive the vehicle we had specifically confirmed was available. This was extremely disappointing and felt like a tremendous waste of our time. We were then told about a 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE as an alternative. We became interested and began discussing the price. We were subsequently told that the vehicle had been sold and could not be sold to us. We were then told that the vehicle could be brought back to the dealership. At that point, we were asked to provide a **$1,035 deposit** so they could bring the vehicle to the lot. I want to make this extremely clear: **We NEVER signed a purchase agreement. We NEVER signed a sales contract. We NEVER signed anything committing us to purchase this vehicle. We never took possession of or received a vehicle.** We were told that the $1,035 was simply to demonstrate that we were serious about purchasing a vehicle and that the money would be **refunded if, once the vehicle was actually available for us to see, we decided not to purchase it.** We were then given a purchase order and told that we would receive a call once the vehicle was actually on the lot and ready for us to see and test-drive. **That call never came.** We never got the opportunity to see the vehicle, inspect it, or test-drive it. During the discussions, we were also presented with a **$5,000 paint-protection package** that I specifically said I did not want or need. Rather than removing it, the dealership reduced the charge to **$2,000** -- still $2,000 for a product I had clearly said I did not want. There was also a **$999 dock/dealer fee** that remained in the proposed transaction. After all of this confusion and repeated changes, I decided I was no longer comfortable proceeding and repeatedly requested the return of my $1,035. This is where the experience became even more disturbing. Despite repeatedly requesting my refund, I have not received confirmation that my money has been returned. Instead, dealership representatives have repeatedly asked whether I am still interested in purchasing another vehicle, even though I have clearly explained that I am simply requesting the return of my deposit. I feel that we were **seriously misled and taken advantage of** during this process. We made a long trip based on assurances that the vehicle was there and available, only to arrive and discover that it could not even be viewed. We were then given changing information about another vehicle, asked for a deposit based on the understanding that it would be refundable if we decided not to proceed, and then never even received the promised call that the vehicle was available. Most importantly, **there was never a signed purchase agreement or signed sales contract committing us to buy the vehicle.** As of the date of this review, I am still waiting for the return of my **$1,035**. ### My advice to potential customers Please be extremely careful before doing business with this dealership. If you are told a vehicle is on the lot, **verify it yourself before making a long trip or leaving a deposit.** Get every promise about a deposit and every fee in writing. Make sure you understand exactly what you are signing -- and if you do not intend to commit to purchasing the vehicle, do not sign anything that could later be interpreted otherwise. In our case, we never signed a purchase agreement, never received the vehicle, never got to inspect or test-drive the vehicle, and yet we are still having to repeatedly request the return of our $1,035. I sincerely hope Autoplex resolves this by immediately returning the $1,035. If they do, I will update this review. I am sharing this experience so other consumers can make an informed decision and hopefully avoid what has been an extremely frustrating and upsetting experience for us. I'm preparing a complaint with the GA Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers ( https://sos.ga.gov/sites/default/files/forms/35%20Form%20-%20Complaint.pdf ) and the AG's Consumer Protection Division ( https://consumer.georgia.gov/resolve-your-dispute/how-do-i-file-complaint/consumer-complaint-

Within two days of acquiring my 2024 Volkswagen Jetta, I was compelled to bring the vehicle in due to an "engine service soon" alert. The vehicle's performance declined, and I encountered an error message stating P0010: Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 1), indicating an electrical fault or failure with the camshaft adjuster valve. Consequently, I contacted EchoPark, and Orlando in the service department advised me to proceed to the Volkswagen dealership, given that the vehicle has only 48,000 miles and remains under warranty. Accordingly, I took the vehicle to Autonation in Buford, Georgia, on May 12. The vehicle was received on May 7, and the issues commenced on May 9. As part of my plans to visit Autonation, I was informed I would take an Uber to EchoPark after dropping off the vehicle. However, it took nearly two hours before I received assistance in arranging the rideshare. I interacted with at least five different staff members, none of whom were aware of the situation. Eventually, I spoke with Assistant General Manager Talon, who was exceedingly helpful and assisted me in reaching EchoPark. I waited at EchoPark for over an hour and was provided with a loaner vehicle as compensation for the inconvenience. Talon attempted to explore options for acquiring a different vehicle through the financing bank; however, the requirements for the vehicle I desired were more stringent. I subsequently decided against the Volkswagen due to the need for maintenance shortly after purchase. Since then, I have contacted Talon via phone and text messages without receiving any response. As of today, May 29, my vehicle has been in service since May 12, and no one, including Talon, has contacted me since May 15, despite multiple calls and messages. Rod in Sales called me and let me know my vehicle is ready to be picked up and arranged a rideshare as I returned the loaner. I am currently paying for a vehicle I have only possessed for five days, at a high interest rate. I also contacted EchoPark corporate, engaging with several agents and personnel, who ultimately provided minimal assistance and offered little follow-up despite my requests for a callback to discuss alternative options. This situation is entirely unacceptable and constitutes poor business conduct. I am disheartened by how EchoPark has managed this problem, especially considering its simplicity to resolve. Nevertheless, I would like to acknowledge the exemplary service provided by Rod, the Service Manager, or Sales Manager. His professionalism and dedication were outstanding and deserve recognition, potentially in the form of a raise or promotion. Although EchoPark did provide a loaner vehicle--an act of kindness--it does not mitigate the inconvenience caused nor the manner in which this matter has been handled. Management should have been more proactive in addressing this issue, maintaining constant communication, and seeking solutions that benefit both the customer and the organization. The total without labor in the picture is shown. The total with labor was over $5k for a vehicle I just purchased. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF YOUR VEHICLE PURCHASE. Thank God mine was under warranty. EchoPark you guys need to do better and compensate me for this major problem.

I asked him twice for a price and he still wouldn't give me one. He asked me what price I was thinking about. I gave him a super low price to mess with them before I was tired of their games. Before finalizing the deal, I made it very clear that I was only moving forward if the vehicle came with a working charger. Well, I got the car -- but the charger doesn't work at all. That's bad enough, but what's worse is how everything was handled after. I tried reaching out multiple times -- called at least 4 or 5 times -- just to speak with a manager. No response. When I finally got through to Nubian M. Holmes, who is apparently the Sales Manager, I was completely shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was. Instead of trying to help or even just listen, he brushed off the situation, offered no solutions, and actually told me: "If you're not happy, just bring the car back. We'll be waiting." Who says that to a customer? It wasn't just dismissive -- it was disrespectful. No accountability, no effort to make it right. Just pure ego and attitude. I honestly couldn't believe it. Let me be clear: this isn't about the car. It's about how they treat people after they get your money. That's when the mask comes off. And if this is the kind of leadership they have running the place, it explains a lot. The sales team might seem helpful at first, but once the papers are signed, you're on your own. No one will care. No one will help. And if something goes wrong? Good luck even getting a call back. Trust your gut and shop somewhere else. I wish I had.
