Lots of things...the rental car lot is 30 feet away, we were the only ones going through TSA, and everyone working here is on a chill time line. Also they have a "bar" that you order drinks, pay for water, chips all in one. I would give this airport 5 starts however...the hot dogs looked like they were rolling around for a while. Also where is the imitation cheese pump to throw on that err...hot dog? Also no charging stations unless I walk from gate 3 to 5, I'm tired to walk that 50 feet. :)

Very capable of answering lots and lots of questions and very clearly knows the history of Monterey. It was actually amazing! You are picked up at the dustbowl brewery which is the old train station in Monterey. Much of the tour is done inside the bus, which is modern and clean. Then, when you get to a number of different destinations, you get out and you can walk around and explore. It's very well organized. I think it was about two hours. I was surprised I was able to get reservations on the same day, but we did. I would totally do this again and highly recommend it!

It is a 2-star hotel with a very high opinion of itself. 1. The bathroom toilet takes 15 minutes to refill after flushing. We became so frustrated that we resorted to manually filling it with water from the sink. 2. The listing specifically advertised a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It is out of order. It is just a standard shower and tub. 3. The furniture is extremely old. The glass cabinet is cracked and peeling in multiple places -- a genuine safety hazard. The bed is oversized for the room, making it feel uncomfortably cramped and claustrophobic. 4. The walls are poorly patched and have visible holes and cracks throughout. To make matters worse, we spotted a cockroach emerging from the wall. 5. The rooftop bar staff are polite, but the hotel staff are curt and unhelpful. Our reservation included breakfast, with the earliest seating at 8:00 AM. We had a hike scheduled before then and asked if we could take the food to go. The response was simply, "No breakfast for you." The following morning, we discovered the breakfast comes with numerous restrictions: no substitutions for dietary needs, and any modifications cost extra. The portions were so small that we had to eat a second breakfast elsewhere. What is the point of offering this at all? For $300 per night, this was a deeply disappointing experience. You are far better off booking a Marriott or Hilton.
