So you will have to take it all the way around, you can't back track and go in the other direction. The drivers were nice, even though some do drive a little fast. If you have small kids or an adult with limited mobility, I'd sit on the seats that face forward not sideways. On the sideways seats my kids (and I!) were sliding back and forth.

We have had more negative encounters on MST rides than positive ones. The worst incident occurred during Easter weekend. Our plans were to attend a church service and then lunch at a local restaurant. While securing the bookings, we advised the scheduler of the times we needed to be at each place because we had a reservation at the restaurant and church starts at a set time. We were at the designated places over the recommended 15 minutes pickup time. On Easter Sunday the bus was close to two hours late which caused us to be over an hour late for church. We had to keep calling the dispatcher Chris repeatedly to find out when we would be picked up. He was downright rude and hung up on the receptionist at Carmel Hills Care Center. We were over thirty minutes late for our lunch reservation which shortened the time we could spend at the restaurant. Fortunately, the weather was warm because the bus was late picking us up from the restaurant. Overall, it was an incredibly stressful day which should have been a relaxing, pleasant day. I find the practices at MST rides unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful to the disability community. Since the peninsula is a major tourist area, you would think they would schedule additional drivers during peak times.

Convenient, free shuttle that runs in a loop around Mountain View and stops close to just about…read moreanywhere you might want to go. You can take it clockwise (gray route) or counterclockwise (red route). The shuttle is clean and spacious and has free wifi; when I rode it on a Saturday, it was pretty empty. Its weekday hours were also recently expanded to 7am to 7pm, making it a viable work commute option. You can even track it live via a website or phone app (I haven't tried the app), which makes catching the shuttle a breeze. I did notice both times I rode the shuttle that there was an incident of someone shouting at the driver to stop because they needed to get off, but it was hard to tell whether the driver had missed their stop request or they had tried to get off somewhere that wasn't a stop.

On Saturdays it can go near Shoreline so if you are biking near the VTA bus yard this bus can be your resting area thanks to their bike racks. I live in a low-income area of San Jose and are really jealous that nothing like this exists near where I live. I wish it did so I could save money on gas.
