At the time I was emotionally overwhelmed by how horrible and disgusting my home had been left by previous tenants, and Cyrus showed so much care and professionalism. He did not just give me options, he gave me reassurance and helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. He managed the entire project from start to finish and kept me updated with photos the whole way through, which meant everything to me since I could not be there daily. I was looking for someone to paint my very large aluminum patio cover. A friend had recommended Carmel painting. I was very impressed with Carmel Painting. Cyrus was incredible . He was very knowledgeable, patient , and professional. He took his time in prepping , masking and pressure washing to make sure that the paint looked its best. Extremely disappointed with the work performed, lack of communication, and lies on social media regarding the project. We asked the father and son company to paint an 18ft wall and stairway railing. They seemed to be slow and meticulous but the work wouldn't even be considered amateur. There are paint drips and runs everywhere. It appears what little sanding they did was not effective as well as they did not simply clean the surface after sanding so all of the dust and particles are now stuck in the paint! We've tried to work with them and gave them every opportunity to fix their mistakes but they somehow became angry with us saying we were being too picky. We are planning on contacting the licensing board and going ahead with small claims court since they will not respond to any form of communication. On top of all of that they took a chunk out of one of the walls with one of the cabinets, dropped paint in my bathroom, and got paint dust all over my dining room. Definitely avoid! read more

Do you love paying top dollar for subpar work? Then Carmel Painting is for you. After being heavily recommended on local community groups, Carmel Painting was enlisted for a job stripping and repainting cabinets. After completion, it was clear that the job wasn't done right. Underspray, overspray, visible primer, bubbles everywhere! When the problems were discussed they claimed they would fix it, but then stormed out after being asked for a new contract representing the updated terms they agreed on. Said that a verbal agreement was enough, haha. Now they've gone as far as blocking on all social media and just not showing up to fix it. Will be reported to the state licensing board and posted everywhere! Note in the pictures posted, the blue tape indicates all of the mistakes they refused to acknowledge. read more

Carmel Painting while highly recommended by the community and locals, they're not perfect. They messed up cabinets on a fellow neighbors kitchen and completely ghosts the customer. The customer wanted him to fix his own mistakes, instead he decided to offer her to fix it for price. Makes sense right? Obviously after back and forth he says he will fix it for free (which in popular opinion is then obvious). Numerous attempts to contact Carmel Painting, he continues to deflect, block, delete comments and repost "satisfied customer" videos. Just fix your work. That's all. Simple as that. Now he is deciding to spin a new narrative saying the customer threatened him and made him feel unsafe. So sad that it is taking so much effort for this man to fix something he messed up in the first place. Sure, Carmel Painting may do a good job. Beware if they don't. They will take your money and ghost. read more

Nightmare from start to finish. We hired Carmel Painting based on a plethora of positive reviews on local Facebook groups. They were one of the most expensive quotes but we were determined to get the job right so it seemed like a no brainer. A father-son team who really push the idea of family and quality work but what we found out is this is a sham. From day 1 of starting work they complained about various factors and made it clear they don't really have a passion or desire for this work, it just pays the bills. They insisted that the work be paid for fully in cash and balked at the idea of giving a receipt for this cash transaction. Strange and should have been my first sign it was a bad idea. When the work was done, we reviewed and found a ton of errors. We confronted the son about this and tried to have it fixed. He told us he would take care of it and be back in a few days. After that, we weren't able to get in touch with them. We attempted to share on social media several times which ended with them having a lawyer THREATEN US! Just for trying to get things taken care of correctly. They deleted all of our posts and blocked us on Facebook as well. I believe the reason there aren't more negative reviews out there is because of how hard they work to actively suppress any negativity. It's also clear they've ingrained themselves with many local businesses, realtors, etc so they have a group of sharks ready to attack if you are honest about the low quality work. We are pursuing all legal avenues against them and hope to have it resolved soon!! read more
