    Shrimp Angelica
    Pat B.

It was my birthday dinner, and I'd been to the same old Italian restaurants in the area but wanted something new. Carmela's is not really new to me...but I kind of forgot about it. It's been probably 4 years since my last visit, but I used to go there all the time. The pizza is phenomenal...they are known widely for their Grandma pizza, which is a thin crust Sicilian pie...very large and extremely delicious. I had one with eggplant last night, and it was fantastic. I don't quite know what kind of mozzarella they use, but it sure beats any other pizza joint--it has a fresh and creamy taste that you just don't find elsewhere. The same can be said for the pasta dish I had (I know...just how much carb-loading can one person do--but it was my birthday!) I ordered the Shrimp Angelica, a great dish of rotini, artichokes, red peppers, mushrooms, and shrimp--all in a very light cream sauce. No heavy, gluey Alfredo sauce here, I don't know where they're getting their dairy products, but keep it up! The difference in taste is quite noticeable between the mozzarella on the pizza and the cream in the pasta sauce. Maybe there's a dairy cow out back, I don't know. What I do know is it's a great small place with an excellent menu. It fills up quickly, so either get there early or you might have to wait. Prices are very reasonable, and it's a warm atmosphere. The only reason for 4 stars, not 5, is that the rotini was a tad over cooked. Al dente works best in pasta dishes. Try it...you'll like it.

    Pork Shank Osso Buco

I'm sure the safest bet is to just order pizza from here. Anything else may be a mistake. Not only did they get one of my orders wrong (gave me chicken parm hero when I asked for plain chicken cutlet) but there was actually hair from a pig left in my meal of pork osso bucco. My fault for ordering that at a pizza place I guess. For the price, I would have hoped they'd leave the hair out. Waste of money

Best pizza in Stuart. Hands down. This is coming from a pizza snob from Chicago. They use good bread, great oil, and quality meat.

Took forever once seated to get food or any type of service. Eventually went to the bar to get a refill of drinks along with others in our crew. The menu is an absolute joke as there is a lot of fill on what they serve you but both my wife I chose the burger as it was the most likely to interpret what I'm ordering. One it came after about an 1 -1 1/2 hours the burger was ok and fry's looked like it was fried in old oil. They were cold and for the money it was not worth it. I think a Macdonald Big Mac would have tasted better at a fraction of the cost. $27 for a burger, cold fries and a small milk shake which I couldn't understand that addition. While sitting at the table I am getting dripped on by the AC duct as that portion is in front of the door opening and with humid air coming in hitting that cold duct it was condensation and dripping on the patrons. In this case me. The server was terrible in my opinion and didn't really cater to many of our needs but the restaurant feels obligated to charge 20% gratuities of 6 people or more. Now I understand that concept as foreign people don't tip like in their country or none at all but that is where the problem is. If a server is good or bad they still are get their tip and in this case there was no incentive for good service. If I am paying $27 for a burger and fries that server better attend to my needs quickly and efficiently. Not sure if I ever will return to this restaurant as it left a bad taste. I usually go by the baseball rule 1 2 3 strikes your out but what brought me over to 3 strikes is the stupid menu and pricing. I think I will make my own dinner at home and bring it to the causeway for a better view and cheaper food and much better food.

A Meal So Good Heaven Might Ask About It…read more Some dinners fill you up. Some dinners impress you. And then there are dinners like the one we had at Chef's Table in Stuart--the kind of meal that feels like it was designed by someone who understands that food is more than nourishment... it's memory. We went to celebrate my son's birthday, and before the first bite even arrived, the experience had already begun. The menus were printed with "Happy Birthday" and his name, a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. It felt personal, intentional--like the night had been prepared just for him. And then the food arrived. I ordered the Bolognese, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the kind of dish you quietly pause for after the first bite. Rich, layered, perfectly balanced--every strand of pasta coated in a sauce that tasted like it had been simmering since the Renaissance. Comforting but refined. Rustic but elegant. It was the sort of plate where conversation stops for a moment because everyone is too busy appreciating what's happening. Across the table, the beef Wellington was a masterpiece. Perfectly pink at the center, wrapped in golden pastry that shattered delicately with each cut, surrounded by a sauce so good it deserved its own applause. The entire meal felt like one of those rare experiences where craft, hospitality, and atmosphere align perfectly. The lighting, the pacing of the courses, the warmth of the service--it all made the night feel like something special was unfolding. If someone told me this would be my last meal on Earth, I wouldn't complain. In fact, I'd probably smile knowing that when I got to the gates, the angels might lean over and ask: "Wait... was it really as good as they say?" And I'd tell them the truth. Yes. It absolutely was. Thank you to the team at Chef's Table for giving my son a birthday dinner we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

The band was solid, and the acoustics of the place didn't hurt the sound at all. It was a nice summer night and both bands killed it. The price was right too, from the entry to the drinks.
