I am embarrassed to admit that there are only 2 small pieces remaining on Sunday afternoon! The cream horn was exquisite, with the sweetness of the cream blending beautifully with the pastry. The pineapple and berry (cherry?) pastries were also amazing. The concha muffin and Pan Dulce were also phenomenal - these folks know what they're doing and what we like to eat. We will definitely be visiting often!

The peppermint chocolate (December special) is a cake doughnut, which has a stronger chocolate flavor from the batter (and a great peppermint topping) which I preferred slightly to the chocolate crumble. Overall, Pandamonium is definitely a destination to grab some special doughnuts! One note: the raised ring doughnuts are definitely of an appreciable size!

Great donuts, great atmosphere, great times. The negative reviews are snobbish and they don't realize the hard work the owner puts in each and everyday. If you go to the place often the owners will get to know you leading to a very pleasant experience. Great selection and quality donuts. I went in yesterday for a couple of bagels and cream cheese. Before going further, I must praise the schmear! It is creamy and begs to be spread and scooped. The flavor is noticeably tangy which gives it a lot of character. Strong recommend. The bagels were much less remarkable though. They had no crust to speak of, and the flavor was close to pretzel. The dough becomes sweet as you chew and, as a result, it tastes a little incongruous with the sour cream cheese. (Butter may be the preferred topping.) That said, the dough has a good deal of structure and holds up a sandwich easily. Plus, their sandwiches are a much better deal: a bagel alone costs $3 (!) while sandwiches are all under $10 (!). Speaking of which, you should really order a bagel sandwich and sit for a while at the couches. There have been patrons sitting and chatting around the shop on both of my visits now. It is a place to luxuriate over a late breakfast, rather than grab a drive-thru sandwich. The shop's aspiration is to be something like a small-town gay bar for bagels -- in the sense of building queer community over food and drink -- and it hits the mark. As their mug puts it: LGBT is short for "Let's Get Bagels Together." Note: Yesterday was my second visit to the shop. The first was so culinarily negative that I swore off coming back. In a nutshell, I believe that I was sold a box of day-olds, on my first visit, although I did not know that at the time. The bagels were handed to me cold and stale in a prepackaged box, despite my having arrived shortly after opening. Eating six of them was an unpleasant chore. Curiosity and a hope that there was some kind of mistake brought me back to the shop yesterday. It is, after all, the gayest bagel in town. I'm glad I stopped back in, and I look forward to spending some time there soon.

On the day of cake pick up, I was done with errands at around 10am, I called the bakery to ask if it was possible to pickup the cake early. The girl on the phone sounded very annoyed with my request (I was just asking, they could have said no) and told me they don't do pickups until noon but I can still come in. So I get there and she immediately starts treating me like I was a huge inconvenience. As she's handing me the cake, she pulls out a receipt and started scolding me that pickups don't start until noon and it's right there on the website. I showed her my email receipt confirming 10:30am pickup and how there's literally two different sections with different times on their website so i was obviously confused. but she ignored my explanation and continued chastising me for the misunderstanding of the pickup times. I just let it go as I didn't want to argue but I left feeling very upset. I think management/owners dropped the ball on training staff on how handle these types of situations with professionalism and not immediately placing blame on the customer. I tried my best to smile and be friendly to her but she was starting to become defensive. There was no accountability for the user interface of their website. She made sure to make it known that it was my mistake alone. I have not decided whether I will continue to support this establishment but I won't be back for awhile.
