I'm sad to say that I'm not impressed! I had to send a one page fax. When we walked in there were 2 people behind the counter and one single customer. They had already completed their transaction and were chatting. I wasn't greeted and when my kids were looking at the bags of packing noodles, the lady behind the counter said "uh huh!" rather sharply then sat down behind the counter and said nothing more. The customer left and the young man asked if he could help me. He seemed to have a rather dour expression. I said I needed to send a fax and he asked if I needed a cover sheet. I filled it out while my kids were looking at the spinning carols of greeting cards. They were quiet and behaving themselves. There were no cards coming out of their holders nor any unruly behavior. I gave the fellow my 2 pages and he typed in the fax number. He rang my transaction for $2 and held onto the papers while the transmission completed and my confirmation sheet came out. He paper clipped everything together and said thank you. I felt very unwelcome and will def be doing my occasional faxing elsewhere. Not all children terrorize retail establishments and I would certainly hope to not be discriminated against for bringing in my children! The store has packing & shipping options and a few misc retail items on their counter shelves. The main crux of their business is post office boxes, greeting cards and mailing. read more

It is so much easier to take all your packages to one location. I have a lot of outgoing mail this holiday season and I hate having to go to fedex, ups and the post office all in one day. I just bring in everything sorted by where it has to go and they handle the rest for me. Staff is very friendly and has a good sense of humor if something is wrong with what you are trying to send out. The gentleman with the beard is my favorite. read more

Went in here for a notary and FAX. They were very friendly a bit slow with getting to me but after I was helped the transaction was very fast. I would recommend them and would use again next time I need something notorized or faxed. read more

I think this shop is amazing. I can access my post box at all hours even if they are closed. I send my packages here because there are counter people to receive them and I don't have to worry about porch thIeves. The post boxes are affordable and you can select from many sizes. The staff is happy, friendly and very helpful. You can have other things done here. Send packages, buy cards, get fingerprinted - it really is a one-stop-shop! The facility is always clean and smells good. Did I mention friendly?!!! The price of my box has not changed in years. Passport photos were overexposed my face was devoured by light and not in a good way. This is not my first time getting passport photos taken so I have something to compare it with. It seems their lighting was inadequate and I overheard they were adjusting the color of the pictures so they can make the off white wall behind me look whiter. I guess the color of the wall was much more important to them than my actual face? To be fair the people were very friendly but their product sucks! I called the store and they offered to have the photos retaken but I decided to keep the original photos cause honestly I didn't think it would make a difference (unless they change the lighting and or update camera/software). I told the lady about my concerns & she thanked me & said she'll look into it. I hope they fix things for their future customers. read more

This place is incredible. The range of services they offer makes getting that to-do list done quickly. They have live scan services, notary, p.o boxes, shipping boxes and huge rolls of bubble wrap! Haha. I went in earlier last week twice. Once in the morning and once in the later afternoon. I needed my fingerprints done for a license. It was done so quickly, accurately, and professionally. I was in and out in 20 minutes. I came back that afternoon for 2 notary papers and to mail a letter. The same person helped me as before. He's was so nice and helpful. He showed me all my options for mailing USPS, Fedex, and UPS as well as the prices so I got the best value for my dollar. The service here is so much better than the post office or a fedex/ups store. If you need to mail anything for the upcoming holidays, this is the place to go. I will be coming back here for all my mail needs. They have a huge range of boxes and can even custom fit them. They have special boxes and packaging for electronics (I wish i had known that before I sent my PC via USPS and was mailed to me destroyed. That's what I get for doing it myself) and a ton of bubble wrap and peanuts. So happy with everything I've done with them. They've got a customer for life. read more

I do a fair E-Bay business and average about $3500.00 a month and send a large number of packages out mainly using USPS. Every once in awhile I have to send a large international item out that will not go USPS and have to use UPS or FEDEX. Today I took all of the necessary information to this store to get a cost of shipping the item to Canada. I was told that it would cost me $185.00 and if I wanted them to package the item it would be another $56.00. I was a little surprised at the shipping cost as I had checked both E-Bay and online UPS and both came in at about $90.00. The only reason I was at the box shop was to pick up a sheet of cardboard so I could make my own box and decided to ask shipping cost just to be sure. I was told by one of the sisters that own the store that the price difference was do to the fact that E-Bay was using old prices from 2010 and there have been 3 price increased since then. Now I am worried because I had given the buyer of this item the $90.00 shipping fee that was quoted by E-Bay and UPS online. I went home without the cardboard sheet and began writing to my buyer to ask for another $100.00 for the shipping increase. I was just about to hit send when I decided to call a UPS store and inquire from them the cost of shipping. To cut this short as I had them box the item and ship it for $130.98. Packaging cost was $46.00 and shipping was $81.00 and that was with larger dimensions and 8 pounds over what I had told CARMICHAEL BOX STORE. Recently I shipped a 98 pound package to Taiwan using the buyers FEDEX account from this same store. The cost was almost $800.00. I wonder how bad he got ripped off? read more

I was absolutely appalled at the way the owner of this business treated my son today. He looked at the greeting cards today while I waited in line. He was not misbehaving, or bothering anything and I was standing right next to him as I waited in a horrendously slow line. I think the woman was frustrated, and her employees seemed very unhappy (and in no hurry to help the customers). The woman literally shouted across the store not to touch the cards. I told her to never shout at another person's child that way. A few minutes later, she walked briskly right past us, bumping into my child abruptly and didn't even stop to apologize, say excuse me, nothing. The other customers looked shocked as I helped him up and walked out of the store. I will never spend my money in this nasty woman's establishment. From reading the other reviews, it sounds like she treats everyone with children this way. I keep my children under control, which is why I was able to take them down the street to the post office where we were treated very kindly. NEVER AGAIN! read more

BEWARE! Went to this business to buy a box, some packing material, and have an item shipped across the country. Woman behind the counter seemed pleasant enough - but then tried to sell me two boxes and a ton of bubble wrap to ship one thing. Then, she quoted the different prices to ship the item (based on the weight of the package) with the 3 main services (USPS, UPS, and FedEx). The shipping costs seems very inflated - and I just had a feeling something was not right. I purchased a box and some bubble wrap - and decided to ship from elsewhere. Went to the customer service center of a local full-service grocery store, and whattaya' know? The shipping cost (via USPS) was about 1/3 of what this business said it would cost. I guess they had to add some to the actual cost of the shipping for a nice, tidy profit. No thanks. read more

The folks here took all the pain out of renewing our passports. They took our pictures, Walked us through the forms and put the whole package together, then sent it off. We felt lucky to have found them for complete passport renewal processing. read more

I came to drop off a couple of packages on a Friday and was helped right away when I got there. It was quick and easy, also the nice worker there gave me a heads up that I just missed the truck so it'll be shipped out on Monday which was fine since I wasn't in a hurry to have them sent out. I dropped off two boxes to go back to Amazon. UPS never got them. They're just gone. If you use this place, get a receipt.
