Nick, the OT at Carnahan, gaslighted me. Apparently, he's second in charge after the owner of Carnahan. After giving me a grip test, which caused me severe pain the next day, he saw me and while "treating" me told me "the reason you're not healing is because of your attitude." He proceeded to make light of my mental health illness and speak condescendingly to me regarding it. Not a speck of professionalism and ridicules you to excuse his lack of expertise. Today was to be my first PT. My appt was for 8:00am. I was told to arrive by 7:45. I was there by 7:40. I feeled the paperwork out. Then sat down to wait. In the paperwork one of the rules had to do with being on time, and if I was late, I could lose my slot. At 8:13 I approached the desk and informed the receptionist that I would need to reschedule, and that my time is just as important as theirs. I noticed two men taking at at station, and the girl said that one of them was my PT. I asked if it was the tall one with his hair in a knot. I then told I did not want him, and that I would taking anyone else. I was then put on a call list if someone was to cancel. About 1 hour later I get a call that they had an opening at 5:30 with someone else. I said I would be there. 2 hours later I get a call that the PT person at 5:30 did not take medicare. Apparently they only had 2 people who do the initial evaluation. She said that Andrew the man I didn't want would call me and see if what could be done. I politely refused and said I would go somewhere else. I am a 70year old women in pain and felt very disrespected. I was told that he was very busy and that was why he was late. If he had least came out and told me that he was running late, I would have waited. It is all about respect. It is common curtsey. I advise that in the future this company should counsel the people that work there to be aware of when and what time their clients are due in, and make contact with them if they are running late. read more

The site is located in a small location which shares a parking lot with a gym. Parking is often a problem and mid morning is usually the best time to find a spot to park. The few visits I have had appear a bit disorganized. Therapists are pleasant and motivational. There is several employees and and PT aides to assist. read more

I injured my hand in June that resulted in needed tendon repair surgery on it. After I have healed from that I went to Carnahan Therapy to regain use of my hand. I was desperate to do so cause when I started I had a week old newborn and was really struggling to care for him. Within just 11 appointments over the course of a single month I have complete use of my hand back! I did the exercises I was given as often as I thought of it. They were fantastic, especially Emily and Sonya that I always saw. I even figured out I knew Emily from years when we lived in another state. All the staff are warm and friendly and absolutely loved seeing my son whenever I came in. I'm honestly going to miss seeing their faces every week and might have to stop in to say hi when I'm in the area. Absolutely recommend going to this place. You will be well taken care of with a wonderful, friendly, and personable staff. read more

The therapists are wonderful, but the front desk staff can be uncomfortable to deal with. I had to cancel three appointments due to Covid. Once I started going again, two sessions in I had to reschedule another one, as I knew I was going to be detained out of town. In their email back they mentioned " no problem" but also " I see you've missed numerous appointments." Then at my next appointment, they said "I see here you've cancelled quite a few appointments," and that was within earshot of other people. It was embarrassing! So if you never have to cancel & reschedule, the front desk will likely be pleasant. But if you get Covid or something and cancel a few, you may never hear the end of it! Again, excellent and caring therapists. But since I want my whole experience to be pleasant, I decided to do the remainder of my therapy elsewhere. read more

In 2020, a new therapist went off on me on the first visit, lecturing me about my weight 4 different ways. I was deeply offended. I had gone there for many years and no one had ever spoken to me like that. I've been trying my hardest to lose weight with several injuries. It's tough. They also made a bunch mistakes with billing. I'd say more, but it's best if I don't. read more

My husband has been going to Carnahans for almost a year now on and off. He is recovering from a stroke so his recovery will be ingoing for the rest of his life. My Mom is currently going to Carnahans as well for her knee rehab post knee replacement as well as a hip problem. Most recently, I myself have started going for what my doctor said was a muscle issue. Come to find out Carnahans diagnosed my problem as a compressed nerve, which I thought was the case to begin with considering my symptoms. Anyways, we adore everyone that works here!!! We have friendly relationships with all that work here. We not only look forward to going to our therapy appointments but leave with an even bigger smile every time we go. They are so busy that usually when you first try to get an appointment it takes a few weeks, but once your evaluated and on the books they do everything in their power to make a schedule that works for you. There are so many people that I know from going to Pier Fitness that were rehabbed at Carnahans and could not believe their progress. I know what they have done for my family is outstanding and I will never go anywhere else for rehab!!! read more

If you guys are looking for a place to get physical therapy I highly highly recommend this place the people are so friendly and are so professional but I actually look forward to visiting everybody here while I get my physical therapy done I feel like I have made new friends but we get our work done while we're here but I just absolutely love this place a few of the names from people that I know here are David Lane, Nick, Angie,, Emma, Sherrie and there's many more but seriously if you need physical therapy come here you will not be sorry. Recently sprained my wrist which I had broke seven years ago. I asked them for some information a couple pages of cartoon type exercises to do for my wrist to help it heal over this pretty minor sprain. They said oh no we can't give you that unless we do an evaluation first. They have dealt with my primary physician quite regularly and seemed surprised that he had not recommended me to them. Anyway they said it would be $175 for an evaluation when actually all as I needed was to cartoon pages of up and down hand exercises. I could not believe it and they understood but still did nothing thanks a lot Callahan therapy !!!!!!! Needless to say I will not be using them if I ever need any real therapy oh yes, thanks again Callahan therapy. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! Great staff! They've helped me so much and are experts at what they do! They really know their stuff and use lots of different methods to help relieve your pain and strengthen the areas you are having difficulty with. I finally found a grand physical therapy place! Would never go anywhere else again! Someday they just may outgrow that building and need a whole new Facility because there are no shortage of appointments, patients and great staff! read more

After living with back pain for 7 months and being told "I think this is as good as we are going to get" by other therapists, I am finally off the pain meds and moving again. They are kind, respectful, extremely attentive to details, will listen to you, and full of knowledge. They take time to put heat and Tens units on my back and hip each time before I left. I actually looked forward to physical therapy. I HIGHLY recommend them. I thank GOD for them! read more

Carnahan therapies , specifically Occupational therapist Lisa are truly outstanding. The atmosphere is positive and conducive to healing. The therapist, desk staff and PT aides are without exception professional and competent. I would not hesitate to recommend them for anyone needing to work on their mobility , strength or range of motion. read more
