He proceeded to make light of my mental health illness and speak condescendingly to me regarding it. Not a speck of professionalism and ridicules you to excuse his lack of expertise. In the paperwork one of the rules had to do with being on time, and if I was late, I could lose my slot. At 8:13 I approached the desk and informed the receptionist that I would need to reschedule, and that my time is just as important as theirs. I noticed two men taking at at station, and the girl said that one of them was my PT. I asked if it was the tall one with his hair in a knot. I then told I did not want him, and that I would taking anyone else. I was then put on a call list if someone was to cancel. About 1 hour later I get a call that they had an opening at 5:30 with someone else. I said I would be there. 2 hours later I get a call that the PT person at 5:30 did not take medicare. Apparently they only had 2 people who do the initial evaluation. She said that Andrew the man I didn't want would call me and see if what could be done. I politely refused and said I would go somewhere else. I am a 70year old women in pain and felt very disrespected. I was told that he was very busy and that was why he was late. If he had least came out and told me that he was running late, I would have waited. It is all about respect. It is common curtsey. I advise that in the future this company should counsel the people that work there to be aware of when and what time their clients are due in, and make contact with them if they are running late.

The conscientious treatment and personal attention has been noteworthy. Of course its possible at any medical center to occasionally get a snarky receptionist or a stressed and rude nurse or doctor, but I just haven't had that here and I would rate them as well above average compared to my lifelong experience else where in CA and the US.

No point was I given an IV EVEN THOUGH I had clear signs of severe dehydration. I was made to wait even though it's part of the big four you're supposed to take a patient in for. (Heart, eyes, blood, or breathing) but I waited next to the nurses station even the EMT were surprised. I got asked a couple questions and given some pills. That was it. After I was asked to wait in the waiting room, not a problem I know the ER is ment for quick turn overs, but even though I was in just boxers and a shirt no shoes nothing she said I could wait with a blacket it was fine. After so gave her a weird look the lady reluctantly went and got disposable socks and pants. Crazy experience.

The people are very friendly and the nurses and nurses aids and food service all seem very responsive. They are taking wonderful care of my mom. I actually feel peace knowing that she's in such a great place. And believe me I'm just as surprised as you to hear me say this because most facilities are just horrid nightmares. If your loved one is going to this skilled nursing facility, rest assured they will be in good hands.

When dealing with medical facilities in general, YOU also have a duty to keep up with everything that has to do with your family member and make the effort to check in. No one should expect someone else to be 100% in charge of their family member. We were involved with our loved one's care and made sure we and the medical staff/PT/OT were always on the same page. This facility is maintained, clean and staff are all professional. I hope that if my family member ever has to be in a facility again, that they get to return here. I can't thank the caring CNAs, RNs, RNAs, Head Nurses, PT, OT,EVS, Maintenance, Food Service, Activities and all support staff enough for the compassion they show to all residents.
