The owners are incredibly kind human beings doing their best to lift others up by promoting other local growers, makers, and farmers as they create some truly phenomenal dessert and savory products alike. They're communicative, clear on timelines for holiday orders (keep an eye on their IG), and always an absolute pleasure to do business with. We've made special orders for just about every "food holiday" in recent memory. Mildly obsessed with their key limequat pie (and I don't even usually like key lime- theirs is so custardy and has the best parts of citrus without being overly tart), dutch apple, magic bars, lemon bars, and pecan pie. I came across the booth with a very nice person Ms Melanie Satterlee she had cookie's for sample....I took on bite and I could not believe how amazing they were....if cookies can be hyper flavorful and creamy these are them...She explained the high quality natural ingredients she used...these cookies well......they are like a hug from your grandmother or your mom. The flavors are amazing, wonderful texture. I am sold on how great these are.....and Ms Satterlee is very creative she can set you up with cookie party favors, wedding favors.....actually giving a friend one of these cookies is doing someone a favor. I could barely see the pastries in the case. No worries though, I saw what I came in for. Purchased a French baguette for $3.70. Beyond amazed at the price. Excited to have some with my coffee, I ripped off a piece almost immediately and noticed the nice crust on the outside. 5 stars for the crust!! As for the flavor, it seemed a little flat. It was lacking some of the wheaty-tangy flavor you would get from a longer prove/fermentation. The inside of it was also missing all those nice deep pockets you see in a French baguette. Overall, not a bad baguette, but not one that you yearn for. I'd like to mention the young lady Annabel I had the privilege of meeting outside of the bakery. They were open and we were feeling a bit peckish and can always make room for a donut or two. So we made a U turn and off we went. The shop is on a corner lot with its own parking lot. Plenty of street parking as well. As we walked in , I quickly saw the glass counter full of picture perfect, colorful donuts sitting pretty waiting for us. These donuts were beautiful. No crinkling and buckling in the frosting. Donut frosting is tricky to get smooth. So many different types of donuts making it hard to decide. We ordered a couple of cake donuts (vanilla with pink frosting and chocolate on chocolate) and a raised chocolate glaze. Mmm. The raised donut was light and airy with the prefect slight yeasty chew. The chocolate glaze was awesome. I've eaten a lot of donuts in my lifetime, these are 5 stars. Besides donuts they serve other pastries; scones, danishes, croissants, and cookies. Breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches $8.95. Quiche ( whole $29.95 or slice $6.95). Local Steins bagels $4 toasted with cream cheese. There is no seating indoors. There were a few tables out on the lawn.We sat at one of the outside tables under the big ole shade tree. Leisurely eating our donuts taking a slow down and soaking in life.

The locals came by to order: An old guy had an apple fritter. A couple kids biking to their first day at school had cinnamon bar and a Dr. Pepper, and a rainbow sprinkle and a Sprite. Another man had a dozen mixed. I had a chocolate peanut donut and a medium coffee for under 5 bucks. Templeton has a genuine small town feel: a sleepy Main Street (in another era Highway 101), a central park with a bandstand, quiet at night, and no streetlights. This shop is in a barn-like structure with 3 tables inside and some tables on the lawn outside, as opposed to a strip mall. (But there's a NRA sign on the lawn. Hmm. It is cowboy country.) A nice stop on the way home from a camping trip.

I don't think I've ever had sourdough that is this fluffy and soft and light on the inside and crunchy and sturdy on the outside. It's perfection. We made grilled cheese with it last night - highly recommend that. Also highly recommend just eating it as is with some good butter :) The chocolate and sugar cookies were perfectly sweet. Not too sweet, not too rich. We can't wait to come back!

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I find myself to be a sourdough expert *sarcasm*. This micro-bakery is legit. Smells like sourdough inside and every bakery item they have uses starter. For food, we got the sausage egg and cheese breaky bomb and the sourdough cinny rolls. The cinny rolls was too sweet for my liking, but still very good. the breaky bombs were so good which makes it the move to get imo. THE FINAL BAMBOO: The cost for the two pastries was around $15. The pastries were pretty big, so i'd recommend grabbing a few pastries to load up the belly before wine tasting.
