    Mixed Berry crumble pie

Yummm! It was our first time to the Atascadero farmer's market and I had been craving pie, so naturally stopped at this booth! $5 for a slice of Mixed Berry crumble pie: not too sweet! I'll definitely be back to try more, the hubby would probably want to try some savory pies

Saw their tent at the Thursday farmers market in SLO. A nice variety of pies, mostly sold by the slice, and nicely displayed so you could see each pie. Chocolate Ganache, Dutch Apple, Maple Pecan, Key Like, Mixed Berry, 7-layer bar, Meyer Lemon Bar, Sticky Toffee Pudding and at least 2 more. Guy selling the pies was helpful and patient, offered to go over each pie. I got a slice of Mixed Berry and Meyer Lemon Bar. Mixed Berry had a slight tartness to the berries that contrasted well to the sweet topping. Meyer Lemon bar, as he informed me when I asked, was very sweet. Nice to have a pie shop around, there don't seem to be many. Would go back and try other things.

I could barely see the pastries in the case. No worries though, I saw what I came in for. Purchased a French baguette for $3.70. Beyond amazed at the price. Excited to have some with my coffee, I ripped off a piece almost immediately and noticed the nice crust on the outside. 5 stars for the crust!! As for the flavor, it seemed a little flat. It was lacking some of the wheaty-tangy flavor you would get from a longer prove/fermentation. The inside of it was also missing all those nice deep pockets you see in a French baguette. Overall, not a bad baguette, but not one that you yearn for. I'd like to mention the young lady Annabel I had the privilege of meeting outside of the bakery. She was on a delivery run, but told me about their IG page, and we had a wonderful chat about cookies. Thank you for your time, Annabel, you are awesome!

They had the crunchy, flaky outside while being soft and buttery inside. This is now my favorite place to get a croissant. Tried the ham and cheese today and it was good and still flaky, even after being heated. I've had their plain ones too. Next time, I'll try their almond ones. That seems popular and everyone sitting near me, was eating the almond one.

I travel up here for work on occasion and it was a great place for me to purchase fresh donuts instead of the ones down in SLO specially if I wasn't down there already. Overall, The vibe here is more cozy but it is also in a busier location because of the location of the movie theater. I've driven by here hundreds of times but never realize that it was hiding in plain sight. All of my usual favorites are here. There's always a lot of the fancy looking donuts and my personal favorites are the creampuffs. These are probably one of the best creampuffs I've ever had. They're almost like larger donut holes with cream in there. They're just wonderful. I've always wanted to try some of the drinks that they have here but I've always only purchased the donuts and creampuffs here. The last time I was here, the team was very friendly and helpful and they were able to get me in and out of there in a matter of minutes. There is tons of parking here and it's plaza. if you get lucky, there are spots right outside on the street for easy access.

I needed roughly 5-10 mins to look over all of the options before making my selections. There is a front case with all of the specialty donuts and a whole back wall with the classics donuts. To say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. As a group of 4 we decided to order several donuts to share. We ordered the blueberry cake, pecan pie raised, mashed potato raised, lavender with sprinkles raised, pumpkin cheesecake, espresso filled, pumpkin brûlée bites, and a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. The donuts are very beautifully decorated and the time that was spent decorating them shows. The customer service was patient, kind and very helpful. Some of the funky donuts such as the mashed potato raised donut is actually vanilla flavored and thankfully the person helping us was patient enough to tell us all of the flavors. All of the donuts were delicious. No complaints what so ever. As for the prices, they were listed above and everything is a fair price for speciality donuts. Additionally, they offered a very generous 25% discount for military. Inside there were seating options surrounding a fire place, bar style seating, and some options outdoors.

We ordered the French dip with potato salad and the Cuban sandwich with Caesar salad. The Cuban had great flavor and was plenty filling. I liked the salad although not really a Caesar to me but still good flavor. The French dip was great. We got it as is and it was so flavorful on its own but adding the au jus took it to the next level! We didn't really care for the potato salad but it's more on preference. It was more like a southern potato salad. We loved the bread it was with though. Had a crunch but didn't hurt the roof of your mouth. We will be back to try other things.

I happened to be up in Atascadero with my daughter during their opening hours, fortunately, and stopped in. The last few times I'd tried to come here they weren't open, so I was excited. They seemed understaffed, with only 2 people I think, but quickly greeted us, took our order, and helped get our outdoor table ready. There was a bunch of road construction and my daughter wanted to watch the tractors and trucks. Nice little nook in the corner of the shopping center, decent seating inside and a handful outside. I ordered the cuban sandwich, I like them but so many around SLO county are just not good. Well, this came out on a beautiful bread roll and was packed full of the meats. The pickles and mustard were perfect, the ratios were great, it was a mouthful. The bread was baked excellent and really the stand out, as it should be at a bakery. That said, this is a sandwich I'd happily drive up 41 to get again. Can't wait to come back and try more sandwiches and hopefully come home with some fresh baked bread.
