It has been too long since my first review for these folks! A-Town Humble Pies remains a slice of heaven (too cheesy? I'm not even sorry about it). The owners are incredibly kind human beings doing their best to lift others up by promoting other local growers, makers, and farmers as they create some truly phenomenal dessert and savory products alike. They're communicative, clear on timelines for holiday orders (keep an eye on their IG), and always an absolute pleasure to do business with. We've made special orders for just about every "food holiday" in recent memory. Mildly obsessed with their key limequat pie (and I don't even usually like key lime- theirs is so custardy and has the best parts of citrus without being overly tart), dutch apple, magic bars, lemon bars, and pecan pie. Every time my husband and I go to the Templeton Farmers Market, I bee-line to A-Town Humble Pies. Ian and/ or Alicia always have a smile on their face and welcome anyone very warmly. The lemon bars are so addicting and at least 2 always come home with me. The pecan pie is my husband's favorite, mine is pretty much anything berry. Saw their tent at the Thursday farmers market in SLO. A nice variety of pies, mostly sold by the slice, and nicely displayed so you could see each pie. Chocolate Ganache, Dutch Apple, Maple Pecan, Key Like, Mixed Berry, 7-layer bar, Meyer Lemon Bar, Sticky Toffee Pudding and at least 2 more. Guy selling the pies was helpful and patient, offered to go over each pie. I got a slice of Mixed Berry and Meyer Lemon Bar. Mixed Berry had a slight tartness to the berries that contrasted well to the sweet topping. Meyer Lemon bar, as he informed me when I asked, was very sweet. Nice to have a pie shop around, there don't seem to be many. Would go back and try other things. read more

Most professional atmosphere in Atascadero, beats out any other pie spot simply because we haven't had any good experience with Atascadero pie shops locally except here due to closed shops during enlisted business hours, poor quality food or inhospitable behavior. unless you're willing to drive to San Luis where they too are professionals, moreover, artistic in culinary. Delicios desserts, from lemon passion fruit bars, to key lime pie, to chocolate ganache pie, and many more, the desserts are lovingly made and delicious. The owners, Ian and Alicia, are a hoot, along with their dog Karma. I can't recommend them enough. I regularly buy their desserts at Baywood Farmers Market and have gone to events where their desserts were featured and they are consistently wonderful as are their desserts. read more

Looked for an address for the place since they say it's open for a couple hours during business hours, the the address automatically takes you to the middle of Atascadero. Found a picture on their FB and drove to that address but it looks like a home with no signs or banners. Tried calling multiple times with nobody answering during their supposed open hours. This was literally the best tasting pie I have ever tried. Everything about it was perfection. The crust was rich, filling was decadent but not too sweet, and the little bits of zest and finger lime kept each bite fresh and interesting. I met them at the Atascadero Farmers Market, they are there every Wednesday. They tell me they do most all the local Farmers Markets. I have had many of their Fruit Pies and Chicken Pot Pie. They deliver. Every pie has been delicious and delivered on time. They are a family and very good service and as i said, the Pies are great. We've been a big fan of their pies since they first showed up at the farmers market. Especially being vegan and sure some frozen store-bought lies are vegan but these are out of this world. After I proposed to my girlfriend October of 2020 we searched for vegan cake and they were terrible then I reached out to Alicia and Ian and they said they could easily do vegan wedding pie. They even made a strawberry rhubarb for farmers market so I could try it! On our big day they brought the pie fresh-baked that morning. When it came down to actually eating it after dinner everyone was astounded (no one else attending was vegan). Their mixed berry got rants and raves from my parents, our friends love the strawberry rhubarb (not too sweet!) And OH MY GOSH the peach was to die for. I wanted berry pies for my birthday (don't like cake). Found A-Town Humble Pies on Yelp and called for an order of two double crusted berry pies. Asked for blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. They delivered them to me outside my gym in Atascadero. Served them that night with ice cream. They were perfect! Usually berry pies from most places are so full of sugar you can't taste the berries. My wife and I met Alicia at her pie stand at the Morro Bay farmers market this past Saturday, and I must let her know and anybody reading, that it was some of the best pies we've had. We were lucky enough to get the last piece she had of her maple pecan pie. Since I'm not a fan of pecan pie due to the overwhelming sugar from the corn syrup, and hers is baked without it, I'm serious that this was the best pecan pie- and only pecan pie- I've ever liked. We also had the apple pie, and as you can imagine, it was amazing. If you get the chance to find her pies, make sure to get more than 1 piece, or you'll be sad that you didn't! read more
