So my wife brings home some "chips" and says "hey i got these for you." I am busy on my phone frantically writing yelp reviews, so i kind of just brush it off, say thanks, and keep writing. Tonight i finally tried them after getting home from the AG Christmas parade. WOW! They are awesome! The chips are cooked perfectly, and they taste fantastic! Big ups to you guys! Stopped in Paso Robles on my way home from Solvang and happened upon a small farmers market. Cary, the guy at the 'Ohana Bros. Chips and Popcorn booth, was really friendly and encouraged my friend and me to try whatever we wanted, so, of course, we did! First we tried the sweet potato chips; they were delicious. Then I moved on to the salt and vinegar potato chips and the luau honey bbq chips. Also tried the rio habanero and thyme herb chips. Oh, what a tough decision to make!! Could've stood there all day tasting those chips! They were each seasoned perfectly and the thicker Hawaiian cut made them irresistable! I came away with a bag each of the luau honey bbq and the salt and vinegar at $8 a bag. So delicious! Cary said the chips are sold mostly at farmers markets and they have them in the Bay Area. I believe they're originally from Pleasanton and sell at a farmers market there, but that's a bit far for me. Once my chips are gone, I'll have to figure out where/how I can replenish! read more

I've probably bought chips from this stand at least 10 times! I always get the salt and vinegar chips but I find the pink sea salt and the sweet potato chips to be just as delicious. - The staff is really friendly, remembering me by name and genuinely invested in my well-being. It's been wonderful supporting this brand/local business. - The stand accepts EBT fresh food stamps as a form of payment. The chips come in a beautiful Rustic stamped paper bag with a fresh seal top Make sure to hang onto them and recycle. read more

The animals are so adorable and the little market has the best variety of goodies for yourself and for gifts! Plus, the food here is very yummy and the ambiance in general is just homey and relaxing. I could see coming here with small kids or even as a cute little day date as we did. It's not too big but also not super small. Their Ollaliberry pie is DELICIOUS and I highly recommend picking up some of their baked goods to bring back home!

They're known for their signature hand stretched taffy. They have around 18 flavors! Sold in 3 sizes. 1/4 lb $3.25, 1/2 lb $6.50, and 1lb $13. But they aren't a one trick pony. They also sell home made.. fudge (in Over 6 flavors) , cinnamon rolls, caramel apples, cotton candy, peanut brittle , chocolates (8 varieties); and hard candy, lollipops, soft serve and a full coffee menu. The taffy keeps me coming back. The taffy has a melt in your mouth creaminess after the first chew. Nice balanced caramelized sugar and butter base. But on hot or super cold days, the taffy can get that sticky stretch. Ok now to the ordering protocol. There are two walkup windows, two separate lines. The day I dropped in, folks were making up lines. Line cutting, very chaotic. And near customer taffy raging. Like these folks need more sugar. The cashier was in a bit of a frazzled mood. Not grumpy but exhausted. I really can't blame her. The crowd was ruff and unruly. Demanding. But she continued to provide on point customer and kept the kind moving. Kudus to her for her customer service skills.

We thought they had closed for the day, but Richard was kind enough to open the door, welcome us in, and share a little history about how this shop has been run by his family for decades. We got to try a couple pieces of salt water taffy and although I've never really been much of a taffy person, the taffy that they make in-house was perfectly chewy and we especially enjoyed the coconut caramel so we left with an assorted bag to try. We may have been converted into taffy people after this... but even if taffy isn't your thing, they have plenty of other sweets to choose from so make sure you stop by and say hi to Richard!

When it came to us (asians) the owner kept telling us to buy from the outside pre-packed ones, while others were able to pick their own flavor. I wanted certain flavors as I do not like all of the flavors they have in the mixed taffy pack. I would not recommend coming here if you are asian. We ended up leaving empty handed because they were like "i have a lot of customers waiting" oh well, as if we were not customers. Don't open a business if you are treating your customers differently!

I've gone inside a handful of times to bring some to a dinner function with friends, and walked away half of the time -- just toooooo pricey.

And after a drive that reminded me of the beginning of "The Shining" with all of the winding roads, I arrived, sat down overlooking the valley, and told my wine guy flat out what I started this review with. He was slightly taken aback and treated me with a "let's change your mind" attitude. As I waited for my first sample, I couldn't help but notice the view. It was the best view of all of the wineries I've visited and based on the other reviews, I'm not wrong. They used their plot of land well to Wow their guests... I sampled quite a few wines and liked a lot of them. The ones here are apparently different than the DAOU that's in most stores and restaurants. That's a shame actually... I was here in the morning so it was freezing cold out. I'd recommend for a morning tasting, bring a jacket or something (I was there in May). But as the morning neared its end, the sun warmed things up. My wine guy brought some crackers also as I was feeling a bit queasy from guzzling wine so early. Nice touch and prevented the hallways from looking like "The Shining" too. I also enjoyed watching and playing with Cheetoh, the cat who hung around the outside. He was pretty chill and friendly. He followed my wine guy around and let me pet him (the cat, not the wine guy). I'm glad I went and was upfront about why I was there. I think he appreciated it too and he did change my mind about DAOU. I get that it's a business so you gotta sell to the masses, but make some of these others available to us common folk. The views are to die for, the breeze is lovely at the top of the hill, and everything from the ice cold water to your never empty glasses are a sign of excellent service. The food menu was also delicious -- we picked up a pizza and the chocolate dessert. We were so impressed, we left with 4 bottles... it's just basic math with the tasting fee waived ;) Also vowed to be back to sign up for a membership on our next visit. We can't wait for our second visit!
