Worst experience ever ! I will never go back. My first ultrasound they made me wait 30 minutes to be seen. I was like you know what maybe it was just a busy day. I scheduled my second ultrasound they didn't have any appointments available for the time I requested! I had to leave work early to get to my appointment for 3:15pm. Im five minutes away they call me to tell me they have to cancel my appointment because smoke in the building. They were trying to reschedule me for two weeks away. Let's start by saying i am a high risk pregnancy and they was even trying to accommodate me to be seen at one of their other clinics. Just horrible i will definitely not recommend!!! read more

Pros: Pretty nice office with good facilities. LabCorp is conveniently downstairs if you need to take a blood test. It was relatively easy to make an appointment. Cons: However, they made no effort to deliver to me the results of my Nuchal Translucency screening. I had to call twice, waited on hold, then was transferred to the nursing department. They claimed they faxed the result to my doctor but it was a random fax number. My doctor office never got the results. I was also told I'd have to call the "medical records department" to get my results. What's the point of administering any tests if you weren't going to give patients the results? I got an email to sign up for a patient portal but it was completely useless. They didn't upload the results there. read more

Everything was great except for the technician who conducted the Ultrasound. She was rude and racist. She asked me about my background/accent. Very professional team, nice, show that they actually care about you. I've been there so many times with many different technicians and Doctors, and I was never disappointed. This place does have a competent medical staff, I recall being kept in the waiting room for nearly 30 minutes past my appointment but the medical staff seemed helpful and knowledgeable. The real issue is the inept and arrogant billing department. They have made 4 different billing errors, each one they tried to collect money for. A year after my appointment they started sending me collection notices for something that had already been paid in full by insurance. Then gave me this bizarre made up story that my insurance was sending me a check and I was to send it to them. When I had Blue Cross call them no one recalled the story and they changed it to me owing a lesser amount I had already paid. I left a voicemail about the larger sum which nobody returned. And when I spoke to someone in the office they were so arrogant and nasty and never apologized for the collection notices they sent in error. I would not recommend this business because of the incompetent billing practices and rude staff in the billing department. Edit: I appreciate the reply from the business. I had three ultrasound experiences here throughout my pregnancy, all sort of different. The first ultrasound was a simple dating/viability scan, and was overall a pleasant experience. There was virtually no wait (uptown location), the tech was kind and pleasant, and basically happened as expected. We got a few photos printed. I think it's silly to charge people $25 for digital copies, but we paid, because what are you gonna do? At least it's a one-time fee. My second experience was for the Nuchal Translucency scan. I am seeing a midwife, not an OB, and she handles all other lab work, so I was *only* there for the scan - they were then meant to send the results to my midwife so she could send them to the lab to be used with the bloodwork for other analysis. First of all, no one told me when I scheduled, that I needed to have a full bladder - and apparently, although it sure felt full, it wasn't. This meant the tech was annoyed and let that be known to me. She was rough - my abdomen was actually sore after she had tried. Then she moved to the internal ultrasound when the abdominal didn't work, and she was rough with that too! Which you can imagine is unpleasant. She was jabbing it around, jabbing my stomach to get baby to wake up & move, and was all around unpleasant. Eventually, after some OJ, water, and time, we got what we needed. But then, she gave me a hard time for sending the results to my midwife. She claimed "the lab doesn't have you in the system, I am going to have to draw your blood and send it" and when I tried to explain that my midwife had already sent the labs and they wouldn't go to the MAIN lab (there is only one that does the genetic testing), until she got the US results, she left the room "to check" - it was then that I actually called my midwife, who gave me the confidence to firmly insist they just send her my scan results as requested and not butt in on other things. She finally did but not without huffing and puffing. This was the downtown location. And she forgot to give us the SINGLE printed out photo so I snatched it from the machine before we left. My third experience was for the anatomy scan and again, was an overall pleasant experience (uptown again!). I got better instructions for how to prepare, etc. The tech was kind and showed us everything, including our baby's heart and as close as individual toes. A doctor did come in at the end (with an intern, too) to try and get a better angle of the heart and said the angle they got was fine, but not ideal. They suggested we come back for a second, but after consulting the results with our midwife, decided against it (also because their appt timing just wouldn't work with my work schedule at that point. I would definitely us Carnegie in the future if I needed an US again, but I'd only book at the uptown location and I would make sure to ask who the tech is and for any special instructions. read more

It took me a while to get an appointment for this place and they make your pay at the front desk before you see a doctor, which was a bit questionable for my opinion.... however, the facility is clean, has high tech ultrasound and excellent service. Every time I've been there each technician smilingly asks me "is this your first pregnancy?" Do the technicians not read my file? When I am trying to celebrate this current miracle, why must she remind me of previous loss? Are they not trained to be more sensitive? 20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage so I can't be the only one who is hurt by this question every time. This was my first visit. They took me in last minute. There was maybe a three minutes wait so it went quickly. Everyone was super kind and helpful. I was weary to see Dr. Fox being he is a male. But he was very caring and informative and really had my best interest at heart. I will be continuing my sonograms through out my pregnancy with Dr. Fox. read more

I very much appreciate that I have had great experiences with 98% of the staff. I tend to come in the afternoons and after having to wait for several appointments, the front desk team helped me get seen very fast at the last visit. They always greet with a smile even when flustered with calls and patients, and the techs are personable and enthusiastic as they perform the ultrasounds. They are very exorbitant. They will charge you and your insurance company for an arm and a leg for an Ultrasound that would only take 5 mins, after which the doctor will simply peek at the door to tell you that the ultrasound was ok. I would not recommend them. I suggest you look for another facility that would at least be reasonable in their prices. And trust me, I have the best insurance plan, and even my insurance company thinks that they are being charged a lot!!! read more

Everything about the Carnegie Imaging group is HORRIBLE Their staff- the phone reps who make your appointments, the front desk staff, the technician I worked with, even the nurse who sent me off for labs, are incredibly rude. My GYN sent me here and I refuse to go back for another visit. There is too much stress in life to have to willingly put myself in this type of hostile environment. Their staff should realize that while we may be patients, we are also clients that are paying for a service. Save yourself the headache, find another imaging place. read more

Go elsewhere if you can. I had to provide proof of insurance before even making an appointment, and then, with less than 24 hours notice they sent me a text message information me that I would have a 10% co-pay of $488 for an ultrasound. After spending an hour of my very busy day consulting with my insurance company, my doctor's billing office and their billing office, my doctor's office referred me to a hospital instead, which is only a $100 co-pay. I find their billing practices very aggressive, and apparently the prices are not competitive. read more
