I can't say enough how refreshing this is. My nurse was very easy to reach via a message on their online portal. I got a very prompt response when I had an issue with a prescription, and within the hour they were refilling the prescription at the pharmacy I needed. Three of our family members pay around $750-800 per year for One Medical "concierge services"; in the first couple of years, we got great service, but that changed abruptly about 1.5-2 years ago when we forced to deal with robots instead of humans; their website deleted "prescription renewals" as an option; and no in-person patient appointments could be scheduled short of a 20+ minute wait on telephonic/electronic mail holds. Really bad experience with various providers. I have been a patient at the Flatiron office for at least 6 years and the past month my providers via virtual appointments either do not show up, or cannot give medical advice in NJ (I live in NJ). I have several messages sent from different caregivers saying different things entirely. My portal does not have my latest visits and my medication list is wrong despite a visit last Wednesday via virtual appointment. I have been without my medication for almost a week and the office manager keeps giving me days to speak to him and then is not available when I call (today I waited on hold for 20 minutes). No one answered. I had to leave to get my two kids. I have two autoimmune diseases and need reliable care and I absolutely do not recommend this office as it's stressful, and as of today, I still do not have my medication. Over the past three months, my continuity of care has been terrible. The last message I got was terse and told me "we will talk when I am available Tuesday." I am not available Tuesday as I have a rheumatologist appointment.No one has asked about me or how I feel or even reached out. This is a service I pay for. And I do not recommend. I apparently have to wait five more days before anyone can discuss my missing medication. read more

One Medical is, essentially, a scam. Pay $100 for all the convenience of a middling primary care practice from the year 2009. Maybe if your only healthcare experiences have been via free clinics, the 'amenities' OneMedical offers could be refreshing. However, if you've had a halfway-decent primary care provider, you will likely find One Medical's policies to be a severe step down. My primary care provider is excellent but I have no way of getting in touch with him outside of a 2 week advance appointment, or a 48 hour response time in a message. You are given many different avenues to reach out to people on the app, none of which are helpful or time efficient. I have had a medical issue since 8am this morning and did not receive a reply from any channel until 3pm, and the reply told me to call the office. All of this, and less - yes, for the outstanding price of $100 on top of what your health insurance charges you. Prescriptions are not rushed and by default won't be filled for days - you have to explicitly request "urgent." Same day appointments with your primary care provider do not exist. There is virtually no continuity of care between providers. You will be expected to advocate for yourself in a system that scaled too big and too quickly. And... this was BEFORE it was purchased by Amazon. Yikes. GTFO. read more

Where to start? This company and its staff does everything in its powers to NOT treat patients and listen to their history or symptoms. This review comes after over 5 of the same experiences. I've finally realized what it boils down to. They are so in "protection" and "follow procedure" mode (likely due to numerous lawsuits) that the patient experience goes entirely out the window. Not one of these physicians (trust me I've cycled through a few) has the ability to be an empathetic, intelligent, sound-minded doctor because they are too busy throwing the book at you. After so many times of consistently explaining my medical history, ailments, and experiences with illness without this place taking even ONE percent of it into account before "treating" me - I'm finally cutting the cord. Seriously the worst worst worst worst worst place to be seen. Go anywhere else. The CityMD I went to in NoHo felt like a solid 10/10 experience after dealing with these fools for way too many years. You pay for what you get. This Medical Group is a $200 annual premium. Was it worth it? Yes. Is it expensive for a poor lass from Jersey who has health insurance? Yes. My doc was awesome though; so respectful, caring and I had her undivided attention for the hour. As we walked back to her office area I mentioned that I feel like I'm going to get a facial, not a physical. The place is bright, clean, water with lemon is waiting for you and the doc's are on time. I have my doc's email for any follow up questions and they emailed me my results within the week (I'm healthy y'all). Anyway, I did this for the convenience factor which time = money. I don't go to the doc that much making this investment maybe not the best for me but, I sleep better at night knowing that they are on call in case something does come up. read more

I found out I'm pregnant so I called One Medical (who I've been to once before for a routine) to set up my first prenatal appointment, which includes some bloodwork and an ultrasound. I called them, made the appointment and went in to the office. I saw a nurse practitioner. They brought me back, she asked me how I was feeling, how long since I had been pregnant, if I wanted to take a pregnancy test to have it on record and if I had any questions. I asked her if we were doing bloodwork and she said "Oh we don't do any of that here you have to go to a prenatal specialist." Why didn't the woman making my appointment tell me this? I walked back to the front desk and told the receptionist - I am not paying for this visit. She said she was going to contact the office manager and let me know. Office manager emails me to say "Well, it was a consultation, so we have to charge you." I explained to her that I told the woman who made my appointment what I was looking for, and she shouldn't have made it! She was uninformed about the services they offer. Anyway, they're still sending me bills for this and I have tried to fight it but I guess without hiring a lawyer they can do whatever they want to you. read more

I want to get a COVID test in the Flatiron location but it's not available. One Medical trick patients into signing up and paying a membership fee but once you entered the site as a registered user, the location that attracted you first into signing up is not even available. I just wasted my $199 knowing I will never use their services. Horrible, horrible experience and tricking people into paying for a membership fee thinking they are getting amazing service and that the location you want is available. In addition, I was looking for a new PCP and all they have available are PA and DO. read more

OneMedical is terribly inconvenient - and extremely careless. I asked for a referral several times before making an appointment with a specialist. First, they failed to send it over. Next, they sent the incorrect referral. I was unable to see the specialist upon arrival, as it's impossible to get anyone from the doctor's office on the line. Their generic call line has a wait of over an hour each time you call, and response time in the app typically takes 24 hours. Because if this mistake and inability to produce a correct referral, I was unable to see the specialist, which was needed to treat a serious medical condition. Do not pay extra for this "concierge service," as you're treated MUCH better by a standard medical practice. read more

She has literally saved my life and the lives of my father and son, who were grossly misdiagnosed by penny-pinching HMO's such as Kaiser and county facilities. Dr Guderian is literally a life-saver, and my experience at One Medical has been amazing all around. The receptionists, the phlebotomists, the doctors - everyone I interacted with has been friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I had ample time in my appointments to discuss my concerns, and Dr Guderian actually listened to me. In addition to excellent primary care, they also have really good referrals. The referrals I've gotten for physical therapy, dental care, specialists, etc have all been higher-quality than I expected. read more

i really REALLY miss my Doctor back in home, so over the medical system in the US. Ironically before I came here I only heard about pill happy doctors - and yet so far my experience in the past 5 years has been ones that make me jump through effin hoops and beg just to get treatment for the most mundane ailments. So mundane that treatments I needed are available over the counter back home. On top of that being treated like a number and paying a rather generous annual membership for the privilege, and oh why not throw in a little bit of humiliation sprinkled on top on the way i have to announce what is wrong to receptionists (its not a hospital and they are not triage). Thanks One Medical Group for always making my experiences so effin miserable when I am already feeling pretty darn sh!t to begin with. EDIT: So OneMedical's solution was to call me and say they cannot have me be rude to their staff any more. So fascinating that for 6 years prior to OneMedical i had not one single issue with my old doctor. He was a gentleman and he and his staff professional. No matter how terrible and agitated from the pain i was feeling, I was made to feel as though I was being cared for and was always an pleasant experience. OneMedical could not care less and if they want to blame their clientele for their subpar service... all the best then. I've been looking for a good primary care doctor in NYC for years. Everywhere I've gone, I've felt ignored, rushed, and generally not cared about. This place is totally different. Appointments start right on time. No waiting. The doctors are attentive and thorough. They actually called me to follow up on my issue the day after the appointment. The atmosphere is very modern, comfortable, and relaxing. Thumbs up on that for sure. In terms of the staff, front desk is super friendly and accommodating and the place is very convenient, they are always on time and it is a great concept. It's literally 2 blocks away from me so it was irresistible for me so I had to join and I am quite happy I did..... I think. The thing I do NOT like about the flatiron location (and I have not visited any other location) is their obsession with homeopathic treatment as their main priority. I think that they swing way too far to the homeopathic side. Not that I'm against it, I am simply not fixated on it. So here's my story: I come in with day 3 of a really bad sinus headache and drainage that is clearly an infection. I have to make a flight the next morning and will be staying in a remote are for a week (thus a long drive to ANOTHER doctor and thus the reason for me coming in). I haven't taken antibiotics for a sinus infection in YEARS but remember very clearly what the symptoms are. It's terrible, especially on a PLANE! Let me be clear, I am NOT a proponent of using antibiotics unless necessary and I'm educated in the medical field so I completely understand resistance to antibiotics because of over use. I actually preach to my friends about this, however one cannot become so rigid and not be open to individual situations. You would think I came in and asked for HEROIN. It took me almost 30 minutes to talk the doctor into realizing that an antibiotic would be a logical choice. Yes, I will return to One Medical, because they are pleasant, SUPER convenient and I love the concept. Yes, I still like the place a lot. I hope this review doesn't affect my service, but I have to be honest. My hope is that they don't become so fixated on the homeopathic road that they lose clientele because of their rigid way of thinking. Keep an open mind! And THAT'S my two cents! read more

I was skeptical of the boutique model of medical care, but after hearing good reviews of their DC office from a friend, I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. Everything else you're reading is true. The office is open and modern. The lounge area is relaxing and quiet enough to get work done. Looks like it was put together out of a furniture catalog. Dr. Silberlicht saw me right on time, took as long as I needed to answer questions, and then sent me off to have the lab work done ... 30 feet down the hall. The lab tech was super friendly and professional. Staff at One Medical are super thorough and clear communicators, whether it's on the phone, in person on email. They're responsive (sometimes even on a weekend), and I was able to have a medical concern addressed over the phone -- they didn't make me come in and burn a co-pay just to talk. One thing I really liked was the ability (requirement, really) to complete all the medical paperwork in advance, online. This was your first in-office experience is pleasant and quick, not a struggle to fill out bad photocopies on a clipboard. read more

So, after a couple of not great experiences with other doctors in the city (moved here in 2006), I finally found a great doctor with a great staff! One Medical Group at Flatiron is a great location. The office staff is very friendly. I've been there three times, two of which was a really nice guy (forgot his name... bearded guy). Always pleasant and nice to me when I come in. The office itself looks like, as another reviewer mentioned, something out of West Elm catalog. It's very spacious, comfy and nicely decorated. They have music and a Mac or two for you to play with while you wait. Dr. Silberlicht is my doctor. He's such a nice guy. I didn't feel rushed at all and he was very thorough. I felt comfortable talking to him from the moment I sat in his office. I also went in for a blood draw one morning (I'm HATE blood draws) and the guy who drew my blood and did my EKG (don't remember his name) was awesome. Very comforting and was in and out with no discomfort at all. Overall, this location is staffed by knowledgeable, friendly people who know how to make you feel comfortable and welcome. So glad I finally found a place I like for my primary care. read more

Yes, One Medical Group charges a yearly fee to be a 'member.' Yes, it's basically a bourgie-exclusive set of doctors at your disposal. That said, your health is important (dare i say, worth the price?) and I for one, do not regret joining One Medical at all, even if i'm mostly healthy 80% of the time. When I need a quick appointment, I can fire up the app and get something booked in minutes, and what's even better is the knowledge that I'll actually be seen on TIME. The fluff/perks? Gorgeous waiting rooms, clean spaces, minimal crowds (probably due to the premium fee of membership, but I digress ...) and doctors that actually give you the attention you expect as a patient. Also nice? Streamlined referrals to specialists that are covered in your insurance network, follow-up communication from your PCPs / doctors, easy and quick responses to email, helpful and polite staff, and did a myriad of locations sprinkled throughout Manhattan to make a last minute visit a breeze, regardless of where you're located. read more

So, I'm hesitate to mention my doctor, Dr. Silberlicht, because I'm afraid that if I sing too much praise, he'll get booked and I'll never get another appointment. I've been going to the same doctor in NYC for 12 years, but I rarely went because it's inconvenient and every time I went I felt like I was getting sicker in the waiting room by being coughed on everyone who, apparently, had the bubonic plague. I was hesitant to go to One Medical Group - 1) give up my allegiance to my old doctor (who I never saw) and 2) to pay the membership fee. Well, you pay for what you get. The $199 is worth it (they are running a special, you can get the first 3 months free). You walk into a waiting room that is pristine. It looks like a West Elm catalogue. There is fresh ice water and clean glasses, the latest magazines, and about 2 other people there. The receptionist was sweet (not like the typical grumpy, outspoken, oversharing, husky-voiced receptionist you'd expect)... I had a 9:45 appointment and Dr. Silberlicht was right on time. The appointment went very well (annual check up). Asked a lot of questions, solicited feedback, listened to my concerns, wrote down suggestions and resources, and spent a solid hour with me. Well worth it and obviously will be going back, if I can ever get another appointment. read more

Dr. Koohsari is great, really friendly and knowledgeable. She took time to research topics of concern to me but still listened to my own experience with my health. The whole experience is what puts this over the top though. This is more of a 3 and a half star review, but since my One Medical Group experience is on the upswing, I have faith that they will live up to the 4 stars soon (and if not, Yelp has that handy "update" feature...). Since I am the kind of person who waits until she is on her deathbed to make a doctor's appointment, One Medical is perfect for me. I can quickly make an appointment online, usually for the next day. It is also easy to search through each of the doctor's profiles. Getting blood work done is just as convenient. You can show up without an appointment. You receive your lab results fairly quickly via email as well. The waiting area and facilities are as streamlined and modern as their online service. It's a shame they go through the trouble of making the waiting room so inviting, since you won't be waiting very long. The receptionists are also extremely courteous and available. I had previously thought that nastiness was a prerequisite for being a receptionist at a doctor's office, but not here. They aren't even separated by that plastic cage like in most places; they are completely accessible. I have been to several of the OMG locations and the aforementioned has always been true. My experience with the medical professionals has been more inconsistent, however. I have seen a variety too, since I tend to schedule last minute and choose from who's available. Although most of the doctors have been helpful, none seemed to be able to figure out what was wrong with me... until I met with Victoria Albina. She is a FNP-C, and was really knowledgeable and attentive, if a little over-exuberant. I hesitate to give her such a good review because I don't want her to get too booked up. Awful. Waste of money. You pay to get access to a doctor. Most of the available staff for appointments are DO or nurse practitioners. So... Not an MD. Also, most of the providers aren't taking new patients. That's right... You pay for a service and then the practitioners aren't taking new patients. I get that it's not expensive but there isn't much of a personal touch. I was a few minutes late to an appointment because of absurd traffic. I gave them a heads up that I'd be late. They wouldn't see me. It was a pressing medical issue that got worse because it was untreated for a few additional days. At the end of the day, it seems like you pay $199 for a slick looking waiting room, an app, and unqualified medical staff. I really wanted to like One Medical Group. I am a terrible patient (I don't like being poisoned or abused.) and have had major problems in the past with doctors almost killing me. I saw Dr Guderian for a physical. She seemed like a nice person and a good doctor althought she was glued to the computer for most of the time. She was questioning me and asked if I took drugs. I said "no." I reminded her that she did tests to check that. I thought that, in itself, was odd but I let her do that. She said she was asking about the past. I reiterated that I never took drugs. She said that her computer said that I took drugs. I asked who said that. She said she could not tell me. I was quite annoyed. When they sent me the blood work which was all very good, I emailed back to her telling her that I was annoyed by her questions and accusations. She never emailed back. I guess I will be looking for another doctor, although the corporate spokesman recommended someone at OMG. I need someone less 1984-ish After I got home from the exam I realized that I had been infected with bugs from the exam table. It took three applications of RID to get rid of them. I was not pleased with the physician I saw. He spent his time comparing me to his other patients and not learning about me. It was a fairly superficial physical - I've had shorter (timewise) physicals where more was covered. Instead of blasting on Yelp, I thought I would send an email to management asking for a suggestion of another physician. Over one week later and no response. But I see if someone rates them a 1 here they get a response. My experience was a 1 with the physician, a 4-5 with the woman who draws blood, and a 4-5 with the front desk. One Medical Group exceeds my high standards. A: The model works from a customer experience and my personal satisfaction standpoint. My guess is, even for the most dissenting minds, the group will work for you. B: The admins are nice and work as a cohesive team by phone, by email...whatever it takes. C: The admins fluff the pillows in the waiting area? really, that's impressive and adds to the already neat, cozy environment D: Cozy waiting area in each office I've been to. E: The doctor starts on time. This is good if you are healthy, but I find its hard to make it on time when i'm not well. For business professionals, this is key. F: They do a good job in making a same-day appointment if you need one. G: The doctors I've met can be a little quick with you and this is probably their biggest improvement needed. I know it's NYC, but a little small talk never hurts. With everything else though, anyone can overlook their speed. Some may even want this speed. So a -1 for me, may be a +1 for the next person. --- in short, understand your patient and the approach they need. H: Connected to high quality specialists and known throughout the city for their quality. I didn't know this until recently...what a bonus. I: They have a coat rack. Sounds simple, but some offices do not..and you're sort of hunting around for a place to put it. J: Bathrooms are very clean and smell neat, and some have an incredible view...yes, from the bathroom... K: More to come, I think the most impressive qualities are still to come. I had an appt with Jonathan Silberlicht for a full physical check up. I'm a 32yr old male and haven't had a full physical in years and wanted to get everything checked and I went in with high expectation since this place received great reviews but I was very disappointed... Here are my reasons: My visit with him was rushed not thorough. As I explained my current and past symptoms, he was just typing away notes and he didn't seem like he cared about me. He did a very basic test: touched my stomach, asked me to take deep breathes and that's it. My appt with him lasted maybe 15 mins. It's possible that he didn't take his time because I didn't pay the $200 annual premium due to financial hardship but still it's unacceptable. What's even worse is that after my appt was finished I was waiting in the lobby for lab technician for blood test and I see Jonathan Silberlicht walking in with his burger and fries... I thought wow he really cares about his practice and patients. *whoever is reading this don't book an appt during lunch time especially with this guy* He also told me he would follow up with me to make sure I'm ok but never happened. I'm so glad I'm not paying $200 for his service. Besides dealing with Jonathan, my experience at One Medical Group in flatiron was good. Lab technician drew blood and she did a great job. you also get email alerts so its convenient. Modern, attractive office, friendly receptionist (both on phone and in person), appointment started exactly on time, lab work done immediately after appointment on site. I saw Dr. Laura Guderian, she is absolutely terrific. She is very thorough, professional, and kind, and I did not feel rushed at all. I also liked Jason, who did my lab work. I am new to NYC, and was very happy to find this group. I am more than pleased with my experience so far. I had an awesome experience so far with Laura Guderian. I came in with a literal lists of concerns and she addressed every single one without making me feel rushed, even though I'm pretty sure someone buzzed her to move on to the next patient. And, although I hate the new healthcare system where doctors spend a majority of their time with you facing a computer screen, she totally stopped clicking away to really listen and examine me, (of course still making sure all my medical history was in the system). Front Desk, Eddie was super helpful as well, when I asked him to get the blood results from another facility, he actually did it right away, I was impressed. Love one medical group. The annual fee is annoying (I unfortunately can't use HSA $ on the membership fee), but it's worth it. As they say on their website, appointments start on time, which is priceless when you have to get back to work. Everything is online including your medical records, and they email you your lab results (so nice to have a record of your own results!). I hate calling anywhere to make an appointment, so their online scheduling is perfect. You can see all of the different availabilities at different offices. I see Laura Guderian - and she's fantastic. She's personable, thoughtful and very smart. I recommend her as a PCP without hesitation. read more

I arrived 13 minutes late to my appointment with Dr Victoria Albina, but I never met her, because the secretary told me that we needed to reschedule the appointment because I was late. If had known this rule, I wouldn't have made the appointment for sure. I remember I was asked to arrive some minutes early so that I could fill the paperwork, but the secretary did not mention anything about missing the appointment if I arrived some minutes late! That was very disappointing, specially because Dr Albina was highly recommended by my gastroenterologist, and also because I live in Brooklyn and it is hard for me to travel to the city. read more

This review is strictly about Dr. Laura Guderian. She is plain awesome. She's sweet, easy to talk to, and professional. I've bombarded her with several things even after my visit and she's taken care of them in a prompt manner. She even called and emailed me to check in. Dr. Guderian is definitely an asset to One Medical and I highly recommend her. read more
