It is a little hard to find (Hense the Secret) but look for Rockin Cat Cafe and its to the left, up a flight of steps. I didn't see any disabled entrances, so keep that in mind if you visit and need accommodations. The shop is quiet but the woman who helped us was pleasant and answered any questions we had. They had anime music playing in the background but not so loud that it was overbearing. Price wise it's on par with Barnes and Noble and 2nd Charles but the selection is much better and varied/unique. I ended up just buying a good luck charm but plan to visit again when we're in the area.

The prices aren't as cheap as I'd want, but I always find myself saying that when in malls. This is probably my fave store in the Monroeville Mall, which is a shame because nobody was in it at all when I was there. I hope that it is selling enough of these amazing cool and massively varied items to stay open, because there is so much generic brand-name crap in this mall (and every mall, really), and so few stores that really capture the imagination like this one does.

I signed up a friend and I for a class at Board & Brush. There is a calendar of events and for open project nights you can pick from any of the selections on their website to craft. Each project is priced differently depending on what you choose to do, and after seeing the quality of the pieces I think well worth the cost. Upon arrival, we had aprons and supplies waiting for us. You're encouraged to bring your own snacks and drinks. The staff was super helpful explaining the process for each piece you worked on and came around to help and keep things moving. The stencil part was a little hard but they were there to help and make sure your project came out as expected. There was a wide variety of stains you could choose from for your project and on the walls examples of every color. It was a really fun night and activity. Can't wait to come back and get started on the next one!

I shopped in this particular store in Robinson Township once. The store had a large selection of merchandise. I saw decorations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, mirrors, candles, some small furniture, fabric and yarn, flowers, party decorations, art supplies, model vehicles, paints, etcetera. Prices were reasonable. I bought only a couple of small items, because I did not really need anything. I personally would visit this store mostly for holiday decorations, although I do think that it would be good for people who have artsy hobbies. The cashier rang up my purchase promptly and accurately, and she politely thanked me.

Only go to them if you want to pay $200 for a custom Frame then 6yrs later have to pay more money to get a new frame.
