Nice little Mexican food and grocery store. Services was fast. Nice place to sit and enjoy a cold drink and food.

It's been a while first of the staff was great ordered tongue tacos & Pastor & two Tortas one carnitas & one chicken. The tongue tacos were very fatty not well cleaned you can see them on the picture, the pastor tacos tasted well but my stomach was hurting all the way home burped the seasoning until midnight it was definitely the pastor because the tongue has no seasoning. The chicken Torta my daughter ordered had pastor meat instead of chicken we ordered chicken, seasoning was the same as the pastor meat, my wife Torta carnitas was extra crispy the meat was on the dry side, they must of re grilled them on the griddle. We also purchased Mexican bread bread is over priced. Over all not the greatest food experience, giving three stars for staff & service. read more

Been going to their meat counter for a decade, always been great. Today I finally tried their flagship burrito with asada and was very pleased. Great flavor profile the whole way through the burrito. This will be a staple in my eating out for sure. read more

The Best tacos I've had just about anywhere. So fresh and flavorful with excellent sides and garnishes. This place is inside the market with a clean, bright, basic seating area. I had an asada and a carnitas with a side of frijoles that were also delicious with a great texture. Service is minimal but friendly. Such a great find! read more

Love this place, I just wish they were closer! Their salsas are DELICIOUS, even my non-salsa liking kids loved their matcha salsa so much I wish I had gotten more! The meat is always fresh and tasty looking and their wide variety of produce helps us meet all our taco night needs every time! Plus, they're always so patient with me practicing the little Spanish I know and are quick to help me find the word or phrase I'm missing. We needed Mexican food for 20 people and these guys knocked it out of the park! I was able to order a few days in advance over the phone and picked up right before the party started. They even helped load my car for me. Everyone (we are a Mexican family) raved about the food and the pricing was very affordable. Typically I do the cooking for our events but we were staying in Dundee and cooking would have inhibited my wine tasting schedule. We had the carnitas, rice , beans and fresh pressed tortillas. Also couldn't resist grabbing a grilled chicken from just outside the front door and a few tamales my husband said were amazing. We will definitely go back. read more

I've driven by this market a few times when going out to McMinnville or to the coast. Have no idea why I haven't stopped yet, since I love Mexican tiendas and this one is right off the road. They have a nice big parking lot, and it's super easy to get to. The first thing I noticed is that the inside has lots of space and is clean- many bodegas I go to are cramped and claustrophobic, but this one is well lit and you can navigate through the aisles easily. They had a good selection of baked goods and snacks- there is a brand of kettle fried chips made out of Portland that are absolutely amazing, and they sold them here! I also got a bean and cheese burrito for $6; not only was it huge, but the beans were cooked perfectly and weren't too mushy (like some places.) For the price I am very satisfied. I recommend stopping here if you have the chance, whether you want a cheap meal or to pick up some groceries. I didn't take a close look at their produce but it looked good also, and was glad to see they carry plantains. read more

I love going in here! I am learning Spanish and they are so kind about listening and helping me find things I need. They talk to me in Spanish and allow me to find the words and if I don't know they help me. The food here is always fresh. A gem of a market in a rural area. I always look for a source of meats and ingredients for my love of Mexican cooking. I love marinaded flank (arrancheria) steak for the grill. Although not in the meat display, the staff will season and prepare it to order. That along with some tortillas, Pico de Gallo, Mexican cheese and some avocado all available in the store made for some delicious tacos for dinner. Great place and friendly staff. The only issue was the parking and street traffic making it difficult to get in and out at least at the time and day that I was there. read more

We checked this place out because we miss the great Mexican Markets and restaurants in Ca. The carne asada meat was fresh, queso fresco was addictive (still crumbly, but more chewy in texture almost like a mozzarella), and the house salsas had great depth of flavor and HOT. We bought their restaurant made pork and chicken tamales and can't stop talking about them! Best tamales either of us has had! Large, stuffed full of flavorful meat and the biggest surprise was their attention to seasoning the masa. I had bought most of the supplies to make my first tamales and now I'm nervous because they'll never turn out as delicious as theirs. We are very appreciative to find a crave worthy spot for food and supplies. You definitely have another repeat customer! read more

Love the meat counter. Knowledgeable butchers. On the way out after getting some excellent produce, and a leg of lamb for Easter stopped at the cocina and got some of the best tamales I've ever had. This little place in a town of 5k does a brisk business, and they always have provided me good service. read more

This is an update to add my review for the grocery section of this store. A few weeks ago we had our grandchildren for the weekend and they came with a cough. This is the only real market in Lafayette and we live really close so my husband went to see if they had cough syrup. No prices listed for the medicine on the shelves. He finds out that it costs $28 for a regular bottle of children's cough syrup on the receipt. Probably worth $10 In Mexican where it came from. We decided to hold on to it and take it back our next stop for some groceries. We work out of town in Washington and they close before dark, so that ended up being today almost 30 days after purchase, but not 30 days. The box was unopened and looked brand new you can tell we did not tamper with it. The cashier said no return so my husband asked to speak to the manager whom was busy so he waited to see him. He was rude and said because it was from Mexico we could not return it and also threw in there that it was ALMOST 30 days recognizing that they have a 30 day return policy which isn't posted anywhere in English or Spanish. They lost us as customers 100%. Rude service in both their food window and their grocery area. I've never been to a Mexican market with such poor customer service as this place. We actually prefer the family atmosphere they usually have. This one is ran by a family, but they don't want their customers to feel that way. Safeway and walmart are 5 minutes away and that's where I recommend you go. read more

Do NOT get the day old pre-packaged Mexican Pastry. We bought some and brought it home to find it was all rock hard and way past good. We tried the cake type with pink frosting and all of my kids and I spit out the first bite, it tasted of perfume and vomit is the only way I can describe it. Maybe their fresh pastry is better but avoid this product! We ended up throwing out the entire bag of pastry because of concerns with how it was handled and how old it was. Really gross, two of us had stomach aches within a few hours after just trying one bite. There are more options if you drive down the road towards McMinnville that might be better. read more

We are moving into the neighborhood so we thought we would give this restaurant a try. We were pleased with the staff, food and drinks. The quaint patio is a great place to have a nice dinner. Not only is the food good but the place is as clean as a whistle and all of the staff was wearing masks for the benefit of the patrons. Great place and we will be back many times. read more

This place was off the charts bomb Diggity I drive by this place all the time but I only stopped because of the construction. they have the best meat selection and the best burritos. maybe the best burritos in Oregon that good their marinated meats are awesome and you should probably take some home to grill. you can find some stuff here you probably can't find anywhere else. Never again. NO STARS! This spot not only has disgusting food, but it has rude service as well. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a couple tamales, one pork, one chicken. The pork tasted like dog food and was so over cooked I wouldn't even have fed it to a dog. The chicken had hardly any meat and was clearly days old. Also, both tamales had severe choking hazards, bone! Not just small slivers either, but nickel size bits. So fed up, I went to get my money back. I was treated like I was a scum bag. The woman at the register acted as if I tampered with the food and rudely questioned every criticism I had. Eventually after being demanded to remove the food she ungratfullly returned my money. I thanked her and even apologized for the inconvenience, thinking it was just an off day, but she fired back with a sarcastic ''sure''. Will never go back and would go so far as to warm others to beware. read more

Excellent prepared foods, a good stock of authentic ingredients and and groceries (including the hard to find "Noche Buena" christmas beer), and I've never once been treated like a gringo. Very nice people, and a very friendly attitude. Better deli fare that's authentic is going to be hard to find. They stock some awesome tres leches & flan; don't miss them. We shop here often for meat and supplies.
