Starbucks Double Shot and Humble Bee Honey

We stopped by on a rainy Friday afternoon as we passed by heading down Hwy 18. The store is really cute and has the basic necessities along with local candy, popcorn and jerky and good selection of wine and beer. I bought a jar of honey that is from Oregon not local, but not an issue for me. They have a big chalk menu board with a good selection of sandwiches. We decided to try a burger even though we were not hungry. When ordering we asked the person at the counter, who is also the cook if the burger is good. The person said "pretty good". I was a little surprised she didn't talk up the burger or any other menu item we asked about. Despite the lack of enthusiasm the burger was really good! The 1/3 lb patty was cooked as requested juicy and fresh. It was topped with a nice looking tomato but a sad piece of white iceberg lettuce I removed. My suggestion is leave it off or shred it. The bun was toasted perfectly both underside and on top which helped to hold the juicy burger together. For the fair price of $12 for an À la carte burger we will stop by again.

Pesto Manifesto sandwich- look at that cheese!

Looking for a delicious sandwich? A bottle of wine? Road snacks? This place is a must stop! I got the pesto manifesto without tomatoes and my husband got the Rueben. Delish!

Great wine selection from maysara winery

This is such a cute little store out in the middle of no were with all sorts of nicknacks. It has a great wine selection from Maysara winery which is just up the hill. Bellevue Country store has local treats that are sold there one of which is the "One Fork Farm" they are caramels that are made right there in the store.

A couple of tables and stools inside to enjoy a quick bite before heading to the coast or back home : )

There is so much variety in high quality goods ranging from 50 lb sacks of flour and sugar to sliced deli cheeses, books and kitchen gadgets. There are also sewing supplies, gifts and art supplies. The staff are very friendly, polite and knowledgeable of the goods that are sold and they are very keen on pure foods. What surprises me as a home bread maker is the quality and price of the bulk foods they offer. They offer several different types of high quality bread flour for far less than you'd pay for at a supermarket. I will be returning for flour, at this price for the quality I will be able to make all the breads I like and not worry about the cost. I also got high quality oatmeal for less than a regular store. The label even states 'no chemicals'. Nice! A lot of these items are all made and produced by various Mennonite farms and locations and shipped here for sale. They also offer quilting supplies in a large corner of the store. Everything you need from the stuffing to fabric to threads and embellishments, this is the place for a creative artisan to gather supplies.

The market is well-stocked with unique shelf items from around the world-- pastas, jams/jellies, biscuits, oils, vinegars, tinned fish, and legumes. They have a vast deli case with meats, cheeses, and prepared items. The meat and fish counter is magazine-worthy and they feature some hot-food specials using meats and sausages from their counter. The wine selection is expansive-- we even saw a few bottles from the Loire region of France which we had the great fortune decades ago to visit family friends. It was the produce area that really made my heart sing and my eyes bug out. The produce section is colorful, artfully arranged. I could practically feel the antioxidants beaming into my body! I have never seen SO many varieties of alliums in my life. They had four different types of "green onion" (scallion, green garlic, calçot, and red spring onion), plus mahoosive leeks. We had a great experience with service which was friendly, helpful, and prompt. Since we were out and about doing other things we didn't get anything that required refrigeration like cheese, meats or produce, but we did have sandwiches from the deli case which were tasty. I look forward to going back for some of the produce and cheeses.

Some stuffed animals as well and some hair clips and whatnot. Inside the main building are many different kinds of high end gifts, kitchen items, wine, and food, as well as a cafe and ice cream. Outside are the animals (who tbh can really live without the food lol - they are fairly lacksadaisical about it!); and the area where Harvest Host folks park. The friendliest animals are the goats.

What a fabulously wonderful, relaxing restaurant / garden / petting zoo and gift-shop. The grounds are abound with potted plants and flowers. I entered what can best be described as a large, deli-gift-shop. Ordering takes place at the deli counter, a number is given, and food is delivered to your table. There is a fountain area, a coffee bar and a refrigerated cooler for drinks. The wine section is expansive and beautifully displayed. I can't speak to the quality, as I didn't partake in adult beverages. The shop is comprehensive with loads of deli-like merchandise, boutique items and souvenirs. They offer a lot of hand-crafted and locally-made fare, which is my preference. The food was outstanding! I order the cheese charcuterie with salami and my husband ordered the Blue Heron Classic. What a delight, and with plenty of left-overs. It was such a gorgeous day I visited the Candy Shop for an ice cream cone (Tillamook, of course) and walked the grounds for peacock viewing. The Blue Heron has picnic tables outside, so I sat and enjoyed the sun for a while. It was an ideal escape!
