We noticed that there are zero areas for kids to play in. They have a nice tree in the back where there were littles climbing on the tree and our son was one of the littles climbing on the tree. One of the staff members came by to inform us, quite rudely I might add, that we're not allowed to climb on the tree, which makes no sense. It's a beautiful tree that could definitely hold a human. They also have a sign when you're coming in that says, "We love dogs," yet they also say in the same breath that no dogs are allowed, not even emotional service animals. I come here every so often so I know that their food is good. Freshly cooked and made to order. The restaurant has outside seating space, and heaters when it gets chilly. My last visit left a bitter taste. We came right when they opened. Prior to ordering I inquired how long it might take to get served? I was told 30 minutes, and our meals should be ready. An hour later, I went back in to inquire. The waitress asked the line cook. He said it was next on cue. Okay! Our meals came an hour and 45 minutes after initially ordering. No apologies, no we're sorry. Just the run around. It would have been nice if they said that they were short staffed. Looking at other reviews, this looks like it is now their norm. Loved our lunch at Red Hills Market! This place is an easy walk from The Dundee Hotel, where we were staying, but they do have a nice little parking lot if you want to drive. The shop is filled with local wines, bakery items, and even some fun kid toys and games for you to take back to your little ones. We stood in line for pleasant 10 minutes to order our lunch at the counter - I had an incredible BLT on homemade sourdough. It came with potato chips and with one of the ice cold beers on draft, my lunch was yummy and perfect. We sat at one of the numerous tables in the back of the place and loved hearing the laughter to the groups around us. The prices are reasonable for the area. We even went back later in the day and picked up one of their BBQ, cheese, and pepper scones and a huge lemon lavendar cookie. Highly recommend while you're in Dundee! read more

So typical I love this place, the atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, I love most everything however, this time was different. I got the chilaquiles and you don't have to be authentic to be delicious, this one had a shredded chicken on top and a side of sauce. The dish was a little hard to eat in the dish it came out on, so I dumped it onto the metal tray they provide. When I tipped the dish over, so much water came out it looked like I was pouring soup. I think it's what they use to keep the chicken moist and was definitely not water, but a stock. All of my dish was soggy because of this. Flavor was a miss for me. All menu food is prepared from scratch, so expect to wait a reasonable amount of time for the legit goodness that awaits you. I love their sandwiches but they are known for the wood fired pizzas. Came here on a lovely Saturday with my family. The little shop is very cute with lots of local goodies. Ordering was a bit inconvenient as you have to stand and look at the menu before ordering at the counter. With kids we felt like we were in the way. Then you tip before you even get your food. I like to tip based on the food and the service and I can't do that here. The food takes a minute but the yard games make the waiting fun. Everything we ordered tasted great. But I can't say everything was worth what we paid. For example the kids cheese pizza was really a flatbread. Sauce was extra. My salad was $19 but should have been $15 or $16 max. Overall everything was a few dollars more than it should be. The ambiance is great but I don't think it makes up for the cost. My kids enjoy this location and the food is good. One of the few local spots open a bit later. Really convenient for those of us who may have had a late wine tasting or opted for a post-wine-tasting drink. I've always liked the split kitchen + food market model - allows you some time to wander and see some options and then order food like a typical restaurant. My wife and I came in during the evening for some pizza and ended up buying a couple snacks at the front of the restaurant as well. We got a pesto pizza which was delicious. It had a ton of great pesto flavor, some very fresh tomatoes, and ample cheese. It was a well balanced and tasty pizza. Our server was very friendly and helpful as we asked questions given it was our first time there.
