    Avocado toast
    Rose F.

I love this place and always look forward to returning . You can't go wrong with anything you order. Stopped in before a day of tastings. I ordered the Avocado toast-- two very large pieces of toast covered with a whole lot of deliciousness. Hubs got the Red Hill classic - thumbs up as well!

I come here every so often so I know that their food is good. Freshly cooked and made to order. The restaurant has outside seating space, and heaters when it gets chilly. My last visit left a bitter taste. We came right when they opened. Prior to ordering I inquired how long it might take to get served? I was told 30 minutes, and our meals should be ready. An hour later, I went back in to inquire. The waitress asked the line cook. He said it was next on cue. Okay! Our meals came an hour and 45 minutes after initially ordering. No apologies, no we're sorry. Just the run around. It would have been nice if they said that they were short staffed. Looking at other reviews, this looks like it is now their norm. I hope this gets resolved.

One of the best sandwiches I've had - the roasted natural turkey. Generous portion size - I saved half of it for later. Don't be intimidated by the line. It took a bit but you can browse their cute gift shop while you wait as the line wraps through it. We were told it would be an hour wait for food - but we only waited 15 minutes. Lots of outdoor seating with lawn games, and dog friendly. Full espresso bar and a variety of drinks!

The perfect mid-day wine tasting stop, but don't wait too long to stop because you might not be able to snag a table! The indoor part of the store/restaurant has cute kitcheny gifts and specialty foods. The menu has perfect lunch items that are mostly all made to order so they take a bit but not too too long. They also have a bar and wine, cocktails, etc in case wine country hasn't provided you with enough yet! Highly recommend the roasted turkey sandwich, the bread was excellent and the thinly sliced apples were the perfect addition! The italian was also good, but the meat stack was a little meager to me. Will be back for sure!!

Red Hills Market is exactly the kind of spot you hope to stumble upon in Oregon wine country. We were visiting Wings and Waves water park with the kids and decided to stop here on the way home. It did NOT disappoint. We grabbed a seat on their adorable outdoor patio. Tons of seating and plenty of shade. Dog friendly and kid friendly a huge plus! As for the food: The Grinder sandwich was the standout of the day, crisp, fresh bread, salty meats, cheese. I'd come back for that alone! Their fries were delicious, albeit a small portion. We also tried the pizza (jerk chicken and cheese), which was decent. Nice wood-fired thin crust and fresh toppings. The beer list is well curated, with local drafts that pair perfectly with the menu. Bonus that they had a little something for everyone (beer, wine, coffee, pastries, you name it.) Truly loved this places vibe, fresh food, and drinks!

So typical I love this place, the atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, I love most everything however, this time was different. I got the chilaquiles and you don't have to be authentic to be delicious, this one had a shredded chicken on top and a side of sauce. The dish was a little hard to eat in the dish it came out on, so I dumped it onto the metal tray they provide. When I tipped the dish over, so much water came out it looked like I was pouring soup. I think it's what they use to keep the chicken moist and was definitely not water, but a stock. All of my dish was soggy because of this. Flavor was a miss for me. My friend got the breakfast sandwich and loved it. The monster cookie was so delicious. Next time I know, don't get the chilaquiles.

Came here on a lovely Saturday with my family. The little shop is very cute with lots of local goodies. Ordering was a bit inconvenient as you have to stand and look at the menu before ordering at the counter. With kids we felt like we were in the way. Then you tip before you even get your food. I like to tip based on the food and the service and I can't do that here. The food takes a minute but the yard games make the waiting fun. Everything we ordered tasted great. But I can't say everything was worth what we paid. For example the kids cheese pizza was really a flatbread. Sauce was extra. My salad was $19 but should have been $15 or $16 max. Overall everything was a few dollars more than it should be. The ambiance is great but I don't think it makes up for the cost. My kids enjoy this location and the food is good. If I could I'd give the place 3 3/4 stars.

Great place and sandwiches were lovely. Would definitely come back again if we are in town. Staff friendly and huge outdoor area.

Ambiance: 8/10 massive space, lots of seating, lots of local food you can buy. Loved it. Service: 6/10 good Food: 7/10 Reuben: 7/10 mad respect they smoke their own Reubens. The portion of meat to cheese was good. Could have used more thousand island but I that could just be a me problem. My wife and her friend both said it's the best Reuben they have ever had. It was a bit too Smokey for me to compare to the other Reuben's I've had in New York but nonetheless a very good sandwich and would highly recommend Chips: 6/10 good but the portion was too small

Wow, the Breakfast special is absolutely spectacularly special. Perfectly tender beef. Falling off the bone! Great and tasty brown sauce to swirl the beef into. Then there's a cyclops eye staring up at you. Coconut rice covered with sunny side up egg. All the flavors mix well with each other. OMG. As a rule I don't give 5 stars to counter order establishments. BUT today, just for this creation , I must break this rule and give them SIX Stars! yes SIX! The Chef(s) have outdone themselves! This superb breakfast special will only be here for today and maybe tomorrow?

The food was insanely good but it took one hour and 10 minutes for our food to be ready after being told that it'd be a 30 minute wait

    Margheurita pizza

Walked here from a nearby B&B. It's a charming gourmet market with a great mix of menu items and wine, beer, and cider options. The margherita pizza was good, great sauce and excellent crust if a bit too much cheese (hint- it's about subtle amounts). The albacore tuna appetizer mixed miso dressing on greens with excellent albacore slices. Wine and cider worked great. The lemon lavender shortbread is more of a lemon lavender snickerdoodle - no shortbread there. Prices were fair.

    pesto pizza was great!

One of the few local spots open a bit later. Really convenient for those of us who may have had a late wine tasting or opted for a post-wine-tasting drink. I've always liked the split kitchen + food market model - allows you some time to wander and see some options and then order food like a typical restaurant. My wife and I came in during the evening for some pizza and ended up buying a couple snacks at the front of the restaurant as well. We got a pesto pizza which was delicious. It had a ton of great pesto flavor, some very fresh tomatoes, and ample cheese. It was a well balanced and tasty pizza. Our server was very friendly and helpful as we asked questions given it was our first time there. We also really liked how they used the back patio area that really opened up and expanded to create a ton of space for guests in the rear of the property. Would definitely return next time we're in the area.

Ask the Community - Red Hills Market

Is this good for a group of 8?

I think you should be fine. If it is during a really busy, you may have some trouble but there was a lot of space outdoors when I went. The parking lot is very small though so you will probably have to park either across the street or down the road.

Do you take reservations for 2?

Hi, No reservations, but you can order ahead and eat in...

What time does Red Hills Market start serving pizzas?

They now only serve it for dinner, so I'm guessing 5pm.

He has an incredible selection of both full and half bottles to pick from, and is very helpful if you're in search of something special but don't really know how to go about deciding. Valley Wine Merchants also has a unique wine club opportunity, that is tailored to whatever region, taste, or combination of both you desire. Don't want NW Pinot?, fine, try something delicious from Italy or France. Unprepared for the…read morerain and with a couple of hours to kill, we decided to seek shelter at VWM to check out the selection and talk to owner Andrew. When I go to a wine shop, I like to see how well organized the store is. I've been in some shops that have open cases of wine at every endcap and it feels disorganized and chaotic, not to mention it makes it very challenging to find anything. On this front, VWM has a well-organized selection and absolutely no clutter on the floors - two walls with wine, and a decent number of labels as well, and plenty of space to walk. The shop focuses on wines from Oregon, which makes sense. Perhaps 60% or more of the labels are from Oregon producers, and most of those are smaller producers that might not see a ton of distribution. There was also a decent selection of champagnes as well as a smattering of still wines from France (mostly Burgundy), Italy, etc. This is a very well-curated selection with some unique wines as well - when's the last time you've seen Beaujolais Blanc or the Saint-Amour cru from Beaujolais? And not to worry if you don't know the first thing about wine. Andrew, the owner, is incredibly knowledgable and knows all of his wines inside out. Whether you're looking for something specific or not sure what to go, you will almost certainly leave the shop with a wine you'll love and within the budget you indicated. In terms of price, you may be able to find some of the wines more cheaply than VWM's price. I looked up a few labels compared to retail prices for shops in my home state and found VWM is about 10% more expensive on average, however I'd gladly pay slightly more to receive the value-added knowledge that Andrew adds to the buying experience - details about the producer, its history, its winemaker, the site, etc. Although many of us that travel to the region are there to visit wineries and do tastings, if you're looking for an excellent shop where you can find some Oregon's best producers all in one place, VWM is definitely the place. Best part is that they can ship to most states so you don't have to worry about carrying a case (or two) of wine back on an airplane and wondering if it'll survive the journey home.

Well first the pizzas are an average $30-$40 for a 12" or 16". We don't mind paying a premium if the product matches. This wasn't the case. They advertise wood fire pizzas, that's not what we received. On the way out I looked into the kitchen. I could only see the normal pizza ovens. The pizza did not have the classic bubbling and slightly burned spots as a wood fired pizza has. The pizza we rated at a 6 and that's a generous number. I ordered the bbq chicken pizza. Well I thought I ordered it with chicken ? I rejoiced when I found one lonely strip of flavorless chicken, the pizza was not crisp , loads of sauce and a bit on the sweet side. Usually if there any leftovers, I will take it home. This time , I forced myself to eat what I could and left the rest. Two others in our group had similar experiences. One of our party ordered a sandwich, we believe the salt shaker cap must of came off because all she could taste was salt. The good which is what pushed the rating to a 3 star. Is the customer service. My friend is handicapped and they were very accommodating to him. The beer was nice and cold. Doubtful we will back. There is a house down the road with better pizza
