Getting a smog check across the street at monster smog and ventured over. Got a tri tip sandwich combo for less than 20 and it was good. Meat was moist and just the right amount of spread and bbq sauce. Nice portions. Fries were good. Came with a can of soda. Service was really fast for 12:30 on a Thursday. When you arrive you can smell the outdoor smoker. Looks and smells good. They are also a market so you can get uncooked meat and other sundries. I would come here again. read more

Coworkers and I were trying to decide what to eat since it was 3 of us working Easter Sunday, Place was clean and all food "looked" delicious. CoWorker who got the half chicken plate gave it a 4 stars it did smell and look delicious. As a kid, I remember them having bomb tri-tip. Walking in with my own family today, they have different owners and no customer service. We ordered hamburger combo, asada fries, and a tri-tip sandwich. Here is why we rated the place: -1 star: The asada fries had tri-tip meat thrown on top! The compliment here is their fresh guacamole on it. -1 star: Fries on both the hamburger combo and asada fries were under-cooked and some were cold in the middle -1 star: Husband bit into the tri-tip sandwich and the whole slab of meat was cartilage!! -1 star: hamburger patty was mainly lettuce and tomato; the hamburger patty was so thin, my 3 year old's was able to eat the patty in 3 bites. Last Monday , My husband passed by this store for the first time ever ....on the way back home & he bought the whole fulled ribs home. Ends up, my son vomited at 3am in his sleep all over his bed I, my self had a bad night & the whole Tuesday with bad diarrhea & stomachache. I had to do bed rest the whole day. Expired food. I live about a mile away and it's like the mini local grocery store that is a little overpriced, but there is the convenience of everything. I always buy the same thing, carne asada and all the ingredients that go good with it in a burrito. I've been going there once a month for about 4 months now. I've come to the conclusion that their meat is either expired or has bacteria on it of some kind because I am a healthy person, however a day after I eat the food that I purchase from here I get a stomach ache and the bout. Kinda makes sense because they are a meat market but business is slow... and they do need to get rid of inventory without a loss. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

I actually ate at their outdoor establishment across the way from their meat market. Very messy tables they where dirty. I ordered some food it lacked taste literally. My wife ordered some sopes with rice & beans and asada fries, they were stale and lacking flavor. I had the torta which was the same, meat had no flavor. Also I had some tripa tacos they were over cooked I had to throw them away after a few bites. I spent $35 on presentation rather than quality. It took 5 minutes for our whole order to come out. Only 4 reviews?! This place deserves some yelp love. Im only reviewing the in house taqueria and only the carne asada burrito or taco. What can I say, i love carne asada! Ive had the tri tip bbq sandwich and it was good, but you already forgot, i love carne asada!! My only complaint is the one time i went there and the carne asada was too salty. I knew it was a fluke and have been back plenty of times since with no complaints. Oh, the lady is super stingy about the amount of salsa she gives you. One small cup per burrito which is probably equivalent to two packets at taco bell. I ask for more and she gives me one more cup but not without giving me the stink eye! I could take a shot of salsa per bite if they gave me enough sauce. read more

The meat is always fresh. The marinated chicken is really good. But don't by seafood there, not fresh at all actually spoiled. I have never had an issue with the meat or chicken. But the fish and shrimp is always a problem. The first time I bought fish, I thought it was just a one time thing. But this last time I bought fish and shrimp and both were spoiled. I called the store and they acted like it was nothing. No apologies at all. read more

This was the second time coming here and if I had remembered I came here already I would have never stopped. I bought the tri-tip dinner which consists of a sliced tri tip and two sides with Deli rolls but they call them buns because when I asked the lady behind the counter if they had Deli rolls she said no. I suspect it was a language barrier so no biggie. So let me start off by saying that if you didn't drench the tri-tip and barbecue sauce it would had no flavor at all. Which sucks because the barbecue sucks was a level 3 out of 10 at best. Next on to their potato salad if you can call it potato salad because it was the blandest potato salad I have ever had in my life. No amount of salt or pepper could save it. Then I had the chili beans which was the best of everything but still only a four out of ten. If I could give this place a no star or half a star I would.
