I feel in love worth this market! It's small enough that my anxiety doesn't spike but large enough to carry an amazing range of products. The hot food looks amazing but haven't had the chance to try it. The lobster tail was fresh and easy to make. The employees ate courteous and attentive. The store is clean. Not sure why it took me so long to write a review but I have been coming to Renna's for several years and every time I arrive, they always greet me with a smile and always give me top notch service on every visit. I am also able to call in orders for pick up and never have to wait; my order is always ready before I arrive. Meat is always fresh and if I need a specific cut they always make sure it meets my needs. Prices are good and you can have options for Meat Packets and the pricing is a ways within budget. I have gone here once at least every two weeks for many years. Great service and food. I love their strawberry pizza-- best in town. I really like that they will cut and trim meat for you, too. Deli has excellent spinach dip-- I just add a can of water chestnuts, diced up, to it. And, I love all the local produce they carry, eg Madera Vineyards Cheryl grapes (Volpe/Cerniglia), Fresno State, local farmers' vegetables and fruit. Plus, The physical size of the store doesn't overwhelm me like Costco does. And, often I can park very near the doors! read more

It's a very dated early 80/90s location and it is pretty awesome! Frozen in time. And that's fine by me because... The store is well stocked and carries things that others don't! It's peaceful. The area with tables and chairs for eating does NOT have any obnoxious music playing, there's no TV. Thank God! Those types of spaces are getting fewer and fewer and are constantly filled up with unnecessary stimulus favored by low attention span sloppy minds that can't be comfortable without layers of distraction. Psst: Put your phone down. Look at the person you're talking to and try to remember what it's like to actually connect with somebody without relying on a device. Learn to be content without one, without distractions. It's good for you! My only complaint in this eating area is that all the tables seem to wobble a bit much. I'm absolutely jaded and get tired of the usual goodies. At the same time, I was feeling lazy and wanted something to eat without going to some big production and time eating layers to simply get to it. Even the breakfast burritos at taco bell or dell taco are not a good value and seem to get more and more of their primary ingredient: SKIMP! The lightbulb went off as I remembered how good the food at the deli is. I was tired of eating at pico, Whole Foods, and other places. The breakfast burritos here are unique and delicious among other offerings in the area. I toss 1/3 of the tort that is folded back. They're ready to shovel at five dollars! I love the texture and flavors, the ample filling that has been perfected..the flavors. Somebody bought 10 of them just after I got mine. They make a lot of their own dishes here from scratch and the chicken broccoli casserole looked pretty tasty. And so did the Chile relleno. Way good! Both were delish! Here finally was more variety than what is ever offered at the Whole Foods hot food bar were it's always the same. I eat there hundreds of times a year since it's so close. Used be be much more variety, but not anymore... snore! Some of these dishes are commercially perfected. They have the perfect ratio between meats or other ingredients. Old school satisfying flavors. I wish they had less plastic and more boxes, though. :( Anyway, I could eat one of those breakfast burritos almost every day or a couple in one sitting. This is an excellent grocery store. The selection is reasonably good (there are a handful of items that I wish they carried, but nothing crucial). But the thing I like the most is that it always feels clean and uncluttered and the aisles are wide. And it's not loud or noisy. (I started shopping here a few years ago after I had just had quite enough, thank you, of the crowded, clutter, noisy feeling of my local Save Mart--and The Market remains a refreshing change of pace in those respects.) I especially enjoy the produce section, which has all sorts of interesting things depending on the season, including local produce--and I really like when they put out little placards to tell you which farm the stuff came from. Sometimes they even have pictures of the farmers. Very, very cool. The only thing I don't like about The Market is the other customers, who seem to be a cut above the usual grocery customer in their sheer obliviousness to the presence of other humans in their vicinity. I assume it's because The Market is in a nice part of town with a clientele that skews wealthy, and wealthy people, I guess, don't have to worry about other people. read more

I love their bakery department. I have a little family so their tiny cakes are perfect for us. My son loves their macaroons and cake pops too. They have really fresh produce and lots of premade food. They have a rotating mix of cans from some great breweries like Bottle Logic, Humble Sea, Russian River, Pure Project, Smog city, Moonraker (to name a few), and other local Fresno/Clovis breweries that can their brews. Although the Market might not have the reputation for the cheapest groceries in town, their beers are the most competitively priced in the valley with tje 10% off of mix and match 6 pack deal. read more

I do a lot of shopping for one of my elderly client that lives in the area. I love this store. Well stocked, clean, uncluttered and very helpful staff. Sometimes I'm on a hunt for very specific items and most of the time they know exactly what I'm asking about and escort me to the item. I really appreciate that because it can be a challenge to find specific items in my list. The twins at the checkout are super nice and friendly. Occasionally I have to return an item because it's not the right one and I've never had an attitude about it. Super helpful staff and I look forward to my daily shopping. The deli has a great variety of great warm meals choices if you don't feel like cooking. I especially love the soups. The Spanish rice is perfect and the best I can ever get. Yes it's all a bit pricey but I think it's worth it for a client that likes to be able to pop his meals in the microwave. I often get myself a soup or side dish. I gave it four stars because on occasion I run into an employee in the produce section that doesn't want to be there and is absolutely not helpful. Other than that I enjoy shopping here. read more

Delicious ready-made food was at my mercy today. I came to the market several times before to get groceries and just little items for being in between. Today there was a difference than last time and I was assisted by a very polite and kind gentleman named Adam he let me know that they did not have what I was looking for but he could place an order for me to pick up fresh tomorrow. I placed the order for the items I didn't see and also ordered some other items that just look delicious. Adam was very attentive and answered all of my questions and gave his insight on how the items taste. Especially about the raw asparagus salad. The market is a game changer for a busy working families they have fresh made food that you can order in different quantities based on the size of your family. As a full-time working mom wife and daughter my family depends on me to deliver healthy items to the table. This week I decided to try something different I got most of my dinner items from the market already prepared. I purchased corn beef, red potatoes, poached salmon, sheet steak already cooked, cooked carrots, deviled eggs, vermicelli salad, zucchini roasted salad, Montecristo sandwich yes a Montecristo sandwich!, And so much more for under $100. Dinner is already on the table cooked for the whole week. Big shout out to the cashier bagging ninja Jacob he was able to get all of my groceries neatly stacked into one bag it was truly incredible! read more

The cashiers are generally personable and friendly. Staff higher up than cashiers have a definatley bad attitude toward their long term, cash paying customers. They expect their profit, but give very little back to this vibrant community of Lowell. We are a mixed community, with people of all beliefs and religions; all ethnicities;nationalities; all races; representing all scales of melatonin. Valley Foods on Fulton/Divisadero is a top notch grocery, with a meat counter, deli counter, fresh produce, fresh dairy, and vendors of every variety. What a disappointment. I came here thinking this store was going to be like Molly Stones in Greenbrae. While I would have gone back because certain items I will not go back based on unfriendly bakery girl and apathetic staff. There was one lady who smiled at me who was older who remembered the basic tenets of customer service. I mention this because it was early morning and I was the one of maybe 3 customers in the store. The whole store was just unsmiling though they looked at you right in your face. I am not a whinier but I do have over 20 years of customer service and working with CS Reps to know when they don't want you there. Aside from that the store was clean and neatly stocked. They had a variety of items your may not find at your local big box market. They have a meat department, alcohol department, fresh produce, hot food department a small cheese department and bakery. Their bakery items were bland ( cream puffs , eclairs) Their prices were what you'd expect for a store that buys in smaller quantities . All in all I would not return. I felt like the employees were watching me to see if I would steal , they seemed unhappy and hostile. I know ww are living in horrible times where theft and lawlessness is rampant but its better to rely on your cameras to monitor potential threats / thieves , not stalk and stare throughout store. read more

This is a place that I unfortunately forget about often in favor of the more conventional supermarkets. When I do have the pleasure of making the trip here I'm always happy to have money spent on a local grocery shop. The prices aren't extravagant, probably equal if not lower than Whole Foods or Save Mart. But my favorite part is the bakery and deli. It is beyond wholesome and homemade. The selection offered is also a lot larger than the other supermarkets; my favorites being the chicken Waldorf salad, Thai noodle salad, cashew chicken, the beerocks-which are so fluffy! My husband loves their ambrosia salad too. As far as the bakery please be careful-the rum bread pudding is dangerous as well as their famous strawberry pizza. I really like this market. There are now a number of homeless people in the parking lot. One woman that looked like she was a fentanyl addict and was really filthy went into the produce department and was touching everything. It would be in the best interest of this market not to cater to the homeless after closing with grocery bag. I was disgusted when I saw a bag being handed to this homeless person. They come back, they camp out and there goes the area. The drug Addicts do not want to go to the places we fund in the city of Fresno. read more

Love, love, love this place. Found lots of interesting local goods, including amazing raisins grown by CSUF students. You don't think raisins are going to be a big deal, but these ARE!
