I usually always have the students do my nails or eyebrows or whatever else it is I need. One, because I like to save money where I can, and two, because it's a cool experience to start with a student when they are learning and to be with them as they get better. As always, expect for the students to take longer and plan of spending more time there, but remember, you get what you pay for! Also, be sure to speak up about what you like or don't like but be kind. It will help you get what you want but it will also help the students. Overall, I enjoy the experience and the staff and the prices. You can also always opt to have a professional do your services instead as well (obviously for a higher price). I love the place and definitely recommend going if you are like minded!

The owner Tanya took her time to understand our needs and what we really wanted and made sure her staff/ trainees were very informed. She monitored her trainees and taught them very well, her leadership shows in the way she works with her staff together both in a professional and yet friendly way.The nail technicians were very professional and maintained proper hygiene along with great care and consideration to what we asked for. We got our nails done with some art nail and were very satisfied with the results and would definitely suggest it to our family/friends. Looking forward to going there again.

The manicure service I received was not acceptable. It was clear that the two students who worked on me did not have the basic manicure technical training, nor the basic manicure products and tools. I had to say, 'before you polish aren't you going to work on my cuticles? Don't you put the base coat on first before the polish?' I never received the hand massage. The licensed instructor was aloof and ready to leave her shift for the day. I asked the students how they feel about their training, and they said, you get training from videos and a 'gloss over' of instruction from the instructors for $20,000 tuition. They attend because of the Aveda name, but it doesn't match up to a quality cosmetology education.

This hack job is what I walked out with. I asked for TWO inches off and a trim. I left with a mess and over half my hair chopped off.

So awesome the customer tells the "artist" and they BLAME THEM. She used a phone app to figure out my brow shape and outline... that's not how it's done. I went home and tried to peel the pigments out. Once after I healed and waited months on a list to see a reputable girl in Vancouver WA to flush the pigments and also had to wait for them to fade. That was 1800 for four sessions. I then went without corrected brows for two years and paid 1200 again. And I will tell you both girls tell me they always have to correct her work and I am not the first person to see them for corrections. So if you want terrible brows she's the one to see , if you need them corrected message me I know where to go get them fixed. If you want to see my best friend who does a way better job than her for just double the price and she's an actual artist message me I'll provide contact info. The only thing I see this gal do a good job on is lashes for the price from photos and others who have seen her. But for brows she's not your gal,

I have been doing my eyelash extensions with Martha for 6 months now. Originally I was going to do…read morethe lashes for my trip and not keep them, but once I met Martha I fell in love with her work. When I first saw Martha, she did a consultation to examine my face and to work out the best look for me. She involved me in that process so I immediately felt her dedication to make me very happy with the result. She does the same for every new client, which shows a very high degree of professionalism and her true care for the new clients - Martha always does everything to make sure only the best results are achieved. While applying extensions, Martha is very careful and very thorough. She literally goes lash by lash, it's amazing. She cares about hygiene, which is very important to me. Her salon is very cozy and clean, and she keeps a little snack for those of us who never have enough time. There have been times when I texted Martha with questions and she aways got back to me within short amount of time. She does a great job on accommodating my busy schedule. I would not go see another lash artist, there is not a better one than Martha around here. Her work product is beautiful, and her personality is very caring and fun, while professional at the same time. P.S. I get harassed daily with questions about my lashes. Anywhere I go, women want to know if the lashes are really mine (they look that natural) and if not, WHO DOES THEM? Thank you Martha, you are an amazing talent!!! Lucky to have you here in PDX.

She has absolutely flourished during her first year in this co-op preschool. She finds joy and confidence in the daily rhythm, open free play and time in the forest. Seeing her smiling face at pick up, which is often covered with mud from a fun filled day outside, is such a gift. Watercoloring, baking bread, making candles, learning beautiful songs and stories that celebrate the seasons and encourage connection to nature are just a handful of things that make up the daily rhythm. Most of all, we feel grateful that the majority of time at school is spent outside with exceptionally kind and inclusive teachers and children. We love being part of the co-op and her education. Five stars all day long to this beautiful school!

It's rare to find a place where children are not only supported, but truly seen--and that's exactly what Ms. Melynda and Ms. Erika bring to this community. They bring such kindness, compassion, and a sense of magic to every day. The gentle, Waldorf-inspired traditions--seasonal songs, nature stories, and rhythmic routines--create a warm, grounding environment the children absolutely thrive in. There is plenty of time and space for free play, and it's incredible to see how creative and imaginative the kids become in an outdoor classroom without toys. Nature provides everything they need. They teach respect for animals, plants, and all living things in the most natural, heartfelt ways. A bug rescue, a quiet moment under a tree, or caring for the forest together becomes part of how the children learn to move through the world with empathy and wonder. We feel incredibly grateful for this community and these teachers who make the forest feel like a second home for our child. Highly highly recommend!

No bills, then sporadic bills, no follow through, then a suprise letter from COLLECTIONS, after never getting a bill. The billing department, and pt relations, are no help, they acknowledge they have had problems sending out bills, and sent it to collections anyway. I also got billed for a visit (2 1/2 hours trip to OHSU) where the student could not do a cleaning because I had been on chemo, previously cleared before I travelled there, but when I arrived in Portland, the student did not have "permission" to clean my teeth, no apology or anything for my wasted gas and time. THEN I GOT A BILL !!!!!!!!! Never got an answer to clear this, or an apology. Waited for them to fix this, then got another cleaning, which I never got a bill for, next thing I hear from a collector. The billing department was snotty and tried to blame me. So, go to a real dentist. (Coordinating the dental clinic care with the OHSU Cancer Center was a nightmare, impossible to get anyone in the Dental School to take responsibility. ) The Cancer Center is awesome, by the way.
