Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Poor Service & Customer Service…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Lash Lounge, from the unexpected price increase to the poor quality of the service and, most importantly, the way my concerns were handled afterward. When I first called to make my appointment, I was quoted one price. When I arrived, I was told the price was higher because their prices had increased the day before. I was not informed of this change when I made my appointment, which felt like a bait-and-switch. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning of the problem. The lash lift itself was terrible. Immediately after the technician finished, I told her that my lashes were not lifted. I have had multiple lash lifts before, so I know what a properly lifted lash looks like. Most of my lashes were still pointing straight down, with only a few appearing to be lifted. Instead of acknowledging the problem or offering to fix it, the technician made excuses and told me there was nothing wrong with the lift. I specifically expressed that I was unhappy with the result before I even left the salon, so it was extremely frustrating to later be told that they could not do anything because more than 24 hours had passed. About a week later, my lashes looked even worse. I contacted the salon and explained that I had already brought the issue to the technician's attention immediately after the service. I even sent them a picture showing that my lashes clearly had not been properly lifted. Their response was that they could not fix them because doing so could potentially damage my lashes. I found this especially frustrating because I have gone to other lash professionals who, when a lift did not turn out properly, were willing to have me come back so they could correct the service. If they were genuinely concerned about the health of my lashes, I would have expected them to offer some kind of reasonable solution for a service I had already paid for but never actually received. Instead, they offered me only a 20% discount on a future service. Why would I pay them again for another service when the first service I paid for was never completed correctly? I ultimately had to go to another lash salon and pay for another lash lift out of pocket. I went to The Lash Ink two weeks after my failed lash lift at The Lash Lounge, and the technician there did an amazing job. My lashes were properly lifted, and despite The Lash Lounge telling me that another lift could damage or cause my lashes to fall out, I had no such issue. The Lash Ink also provided excellent customer service, which made the contrast between the two experiences even more obvious. I have supported small lash businesses before, and whenever there was a legitimate issue with a service, they were happy to work with me and make it right. Unfortunately, I did not receive that level of customer care from The Lash Lounge. A business should care about both the quality of its services and how it treats customers when something goes wrong. In this case, I felt completely dismissed after clearly communicating my concerns. This was the worst lash lift I have ever received and one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at a beauty salon. I spent money on a service I did not receive, had to pay another business to correct the problem, and was essentially told that my only option was to spend even more money with The Lash Lounge. I will never return to The Lash Lounge, and based on my experience, I would not recommend it. Save your time and money and go somewhere that actually stands behind its work and values its customers.
