The sauces and jams are made in house. They sell main stream candy repackaged in general store packaging for an up charge. There's Windham and Catskill souvenirs. There's stuff made by local artists along with big box toys and items. There are a few cats living in the store and restaurant - all are super friendly. The restaurant is nice but the service is extremely slow and could be a touch nicer. There are multiple signs talking about the whole world being understaffed. Just be prepared to spend a while. The waitress was fine but clearly very busy. We had mentioned wanting to get dessert at the beginning but when we were done eating, she had just brought us our check - we were too fully anyway. I had the garden salad sandwich on farm bread. The avocado wasn't the freshest and there was only one tiny piece of tomato - this will probably be a good sandwich in peak summer. The sandwiches came with chips and salsa. The store made mango salsa is delicious. Locally made root beer in a bottle was delicious and unique. The baked goods were quite pricey (almost $9 for a small square of raspberry bread). The bathrooms are on the otherwise by the kids toys.

That sweet tie dye dress in the window? MINE! There was also a super cool leather woven bag in the window, too. Maybe next time. Melinda (I hope I got her name right?) the owner is dripping with style and great taste. She looks like a fashion designer. Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. Awesome home wares, too. And I bought a super special candle that will always bring me back to Hudson when I light it. Smells like fancy pine. Also! When we arrived and walked around a bit, I realized that they actually HAVE pretty much everything on that comprehensive list, because this place is massive and awesome. I don't think I can possibly list all the things they've got, but I feel pretty confident saying that their selection is better than anything you might find in the surrounding area: Trees, shrubs, evergreens, bushes, perennials, herbs, succulents, conifers, flowers, vegetables, vines...you want plants, they've got the plants. They've also got all the garden supplies you need...plant food, fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, tools, a gorgeous selection of pots, and hooks, and garden gnomes, and more. I didn't know I needed netting to keep the birds from eating my blueberries, but they did, and they've got the netting you need.
