After doing research, I was able to get an appointment for the day that I arrived into town and I am still pinching myself at how wonderful the experience was. I was welcomed by Kate (the owner) and Kay (my stylist) as if I were family and I loved the bright yet cozy atmosphere. Kay worked magic on my hair with 2 base formulas - one on top and one in the back. She added creamy balayage highlights strategically placed throughout and finished it off with a cut, shampoo, blowdry and style! I have to share that the blowout lasted a week! A few weeks later it was time for my husband's cut so we made an appointment with BreAnna who apparently specializes in male scissor cutting. His hair has seriously never looked better and he was equally happy with the friendly atmosphere and environment and has already booked his next appointment. I acknowledge that this was a color correction, but really. She covered up the "money" highlights on one side of my face. I asked for ash and I got blonde. She said the toner should last 4 weeks or more. Sorry, just two washes and I see blonde. As far as the haircut goes she chopped the crap out of my hair. I have no idea what she did to my hair, but it is totally uneven on both sides and even the front is longer than the back on one side. I spoke with her today and she said her manager would allow a complementary toner on the awful highlights but made no mention of what a ridiculously gross haircut I received. Don't these girls know how to check to see if both sides are even anymore? This should be very basic for any hairstylist to do. Maybe the manager should have a class on how to cut hair evenly. And check it the proper way. Buyer beware, they don't disclose the cost of anything until you check out. I was quoted a certain price and it was $200.00 more. Not acceptable. I paid $ 600.00 for a total botch job . You would think the owner would have at least called me to see how she could make it right. At that price I should have walked out looking like a Rock Star!

I had medium length hair when I visited her but didn't quite have a style in mind. This is a challenge for the stylist, I've learned, especially if the stylist doesn't know you. If I sit in your chair, I would be happy if I had a shaved head or a well-styled mullet, even if it wasn't quite what I had in mind. But I am a bit shy and Christina didn't know me, so we didn't quite achieve a style that I felt was "different" the first time I sat in the chair. [It wasn't a mullet, but I'm sure she could style it if I asked.] It was completely due to my inability to communicate what I wanted but we arranged a second visit and I left completely pleased with the new style. I never expected as stylist to say, "Come back! Let's give you what you want! [Despite you not communicating effectively, albeit.]" Next time I sit in a chair for a haircut, this is the chair I want to sit in. Oh, I love how spacious the salon is. There also wasn't an overpowering smell of chemicals that has perhaps deterred me from visiting a salon for so long. All good for relaxing my anxiety. Thank you!

Every person is different, but Tasha and Amanda are both incredibly communicative, and take their time with your hair. They explained to me what hair products to use, what would happen when I dyed my hair, and what to expect before and during the appointment. They were very attentive and kind, and are the kind of stylists that can talk to you and hold a conversation but also will not force you to talk if you don't want to. You can just listen in to what they say to each other. It's kind of like ASMR, haha. Also, when they wash your hair, it feels quite heavenly. No place is perfect, but they have done right by me. And I want to make sure that people know that this place is a good spot to get your hair done. Just be prepared with what you want, how you want it, and make sure that you are fully aware of their policies before getting an appointment.
