Would not recommend buying their roasted whole bean blends. The beans are of subpar quality and their roasting process is uneven resulting in a poor profile coffee flavor. I applaud their effort to support small farmers but they are undoing all their hard work by making a mess of the coffee. I was doltish enough to buy 2 separate bags on my first try; one was touted as a medium roast but clearly charred dark and was sweating oil (which the seller assured me "It's supposed to look like that). The second appears good but tastes terrible; even after altering extraction ratios and grind sizes. Never going back there! read more

I needed to find a coffee roaster near work and found Carolina Coffee Roasting Co. The People there are very helpful, nice, love coffee and have an unusual number of coffee machines of all types and kinds in the lobby. Some even had coffee in them. I purchased 3 bags of fresh coffee ground for a drip machine: the Guatemalan RFA, Ethiopian Harrar and Sumatra Man. The Family loves all of them. I really like the Ethiopian Harrar for that kind of heavy body, chocolaty flavor, and fruity aroma. It's just great. Stop by and get some coffee here for your kitchen or the office. What I do at work is make the Guatemalan in the coffee machine, but leave the Maxwell House out on the counter, and then enjoy the banter along with an excellent cup of real coffee. read more

My first time to get a fresh roasted coffee. I ate at Scrambled and had amazing coffee. I ask them what coffee they carry and said they have house blend roasted by Carolina Coffee. Kinda odd place to get coffee. It's more Industrial office around, but worth every minute. Destiny the lady in front even gave me a free latte while waiting for them to grind my coffee. Amazing customer service. I called ahead to order 3 pounds of Costa Rican coffee. When I got there it was ready. This place has the best coffee I've ever had. It's very strong (caffeinated) but also smooth and has sweet notes. Personally I've never tried their made to order lattes; but I have the sneaking suspicion they are amazing. Since this location isn't in a prominent area they take their time with you and put love into your order. read more

I'm new to the area and wanted to try a local place instead of my usual Starbucks. I'm glad I did! I had a certain drink that I just started getting at other coffee places and didn't really know how to describe it since I didn't see it on their menu. They got the owner who immediately knew the drink I wanted and exclaimed how it was everyone's favorite. They expertly made it for me, it was even better than the ones I have had at chain coffee shops, and A LOT cheaper too! To top it off, the owner then made a similar one but with white chocolate, she brought it over for me to try saying the team there prefers that version better. It was delicious! If you're looking for a quiet, local coffee shop, this is the place! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. There did not appear to be free wifi, but after reading another review I went to the counter and asked. They quickly gave me the password for free wifi. The music station they have on had some really awesome classic rock songs that I was jamming out to! read more

Best coffee in Greensboro, in fact best coffee in NC! Puts the competition to shame including Starbucks. Organic selections and fair trade as well. Teas, smoothies, and hot chocolates for those who aren't coffee connoisseurs. They can fix you your favorite latte, cappuccino, or frozen frappe. Or let them create a unique flavor combination for you. I love that their employees are just your run of the mill coffee shop workers. They actually travelled to other states to be certified baristas. They continue their coffee education too so that their entire staff stays up to date on the latest in the coffee industry. Their latte art makes them true craftsman in the art of espresso. Coffee is roasted on site by locals which is a huge plus. You just know it's roasted with love! Great coffee. Nice service. I had a cappuccino and the owner was there. She offered me free coffee when I was finished, which was nice. The coffee was great and the location was clean. It isn't really that warm and comfortable to sit for a long time, but they do have free wifi and an outlet or two. I'd go back. Plenty of parking! read more

If I could give 3.5 stars I would. Coffee purchased was Guatemala Italian roast. I'd rate the coffee 7 outta 10. My problem with this place compared to what's available elsewhere, for the same money or less and delivered to my door step. In a "e" world with fairly accurate online reviews and home delivery for free on Amazon prime and a multitude of other selections, I can't see myself driving to an outta the way coffee roaster in an industrial park paying a premium price. If the coffee was "extraordinary" perhaps I would. But it's not and I won't. If you do go and are willing to pay a premium then the coffee is above average imo read more

Great coffee served in ceramic cups or paper if you must. Try their Flat Whites! They roast their own coffee which i also buy for home. Their prices are great considering the qualify of their coffee and great service. read more

I found CCR too pricey and the staff too pushy to make the sale. Prices should be more clearly displayed. My chai was too sweet. I don't think this location is great for traffic for the store and like another poster mentioned, the interior is not very inviting. Won't be returning. read more
