This is one of my spots when I need to get a little work done in Winston-Salem, especially when the weather outside is nice because they have really good seating options for setting up with your laptop. Not much in the way of a view, but fully shaded and standard height seating. Inside is more counter height stuff, which I don't like quite as much for working. But, you probably didn't start reading this to learn my work habits. Great coffee here. Not only are their always interesting specials to tempt you, but just their standard offerings are right flavorful. They're also remarkably consistent. My standard iced mocha is always done exactly how I like it. Last time, I did go for a Vietnamese iced coffee, and that might have made me a believer! Definitely had me buzzing the rest of the day. Camel city coffee shop is quaint an eccentric. Their mocha was delicious and flavorful with rich chocolate, and the espresso was just the right strength and boldness. The music was nice and soothing. The barista and other employee were very kind and friendly. The lighting was low-ish and it added to the ambience of the shop. They had a variety of yummy looking pastries, but we didn't indulge. The prices were on the high side, and they charged an excessive amount for the oat milk. However, this will not keep me from returning as I enjoyed the vibe of the shop. read more

Small cozy spot, great place to enjoy a sip, relax, hang out etc. Came here on a Thursday just before 9am and had nice mexican mocha (good kick) and everything cheese danish - good seasoning and able to heat up in the microwave. They have 2% and skim in addition to whole milk which is nice! It was a little too chilly to sit outside so we grabbed a high top. Drink only served in to-go container, I don't think they have regular mugs. That would be nice for a dine in experience. Was on my way to a chain coffee spot when I spotted this gem and decided to stop in here instead and I'm so glad I did! I got the oat vanilla latte and it was delicious, not overly sweet and perfectly hot! Love, love, love how they make their hot chocolate here! Their dark chocolate syrup makes for a delicious and warm treat this time of the year. I sometimes like to do some remote work here since they usually have a few tables here and there for lounging around. Their WiFi is fast and the cafe is fairly quiet so it's perfect for getting some work done. Also just found out they are dog friendly (if they are well behaved at least)! The staff is always super welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have a great visit! I love the seasonality of their menu and how often things change. Stopped in to Camel City Coffee today for the first time and couldn't be happier. The staff there are amazing and made me feel as if I were a regular and not my first time. They have a lot of snacks and sweet treats, although I'm not sure how good they are as I haven't been tempted to try them yet. The ambiance is fine, there is not really any great seating options. There are two comfortable chairs by the window and other than that I wouldn't recommend coming to do work here or meetings. I have had some employees who are super kind and fun to chat with and another who seemed quite irritated that I stopped in to get coffee. I also saw him being rude to other guests, like really? Also, as an early riser, I wish they were open before 8am! Overall, it's a good cup of coffee and convenient location. read more

I was immediately greeted upon entry to a smiling face and my personalized order was filled promptly. I order a 16oz Eggnog Latte with whole milk and a slice of Brown Sugar Pound Cake. Drink #1: MO COCO COLD FOAM - this was a delicious and refreshing coconut drink that wasn't at all overwhelming with the sweetness. It was very well balanced flavor-wise and super cold! Drink #2: BROWN SUGAR BOMBSHELL - not really sure why this was a Spring seasonal drink, seemed more Fall season to me. It was delicious and packed a nice cinnamon punch with delicious creaminess. I would definitely order again. Food: 5 Flavor Pound Cake - this was just okay. It didn't taste like the normal 5 flavor cakes I've had, I think it was missing that almond taste. I was blown away by the coffee as well as the environment inside camel city coffee. They have so many options regarding drinks and their holiday menu specifically is worth going in for. During small business Saturday, I got some gifts for friends and family there as well and the quality of the gifts was high!! Love the t-shirts as well as the different mugs they have in there.
