Was in town for business and stopped in to get some work done. Great vibe, friendly people and great coffee. They also have a reading area in the back which is cool

If you're looking for a spot in the Triad that perfectly balances a cozy atmosphere with a modern, aesthetic vibe, Northern Roots is it. I fell in love with this place the moment I walked in. The artwork and decorations are absolutely adorable, you can tell every corner was designed with care. It's rare to find a place that feels this "Instagrammable" while still being genuinely warm and welcoming. Of course, the coffee is delicious. It's clearly high-quality and brewed to perfection. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave some excellent suggestions when I wasn't sure what to try; their recommendations were spot on!

What a fun and cozy spot in downtown Greensboro! The ambiance is bright and inviting with comfy chairs, tables, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger. The staff couldn't be friendlier. Warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. My wife came specifically for their fall selection and ordered the seasonal flight. The presentation was fantastic, and each drink was more impressive than the last. I went for their unique hash brown crusted buffalo chicken quiche, and wow, this dish is outstanding. Crispy, flavorful, and unlike anything you'll find anywhere else. We both ended up ordering it and already know we'll be back for it again. Northern Roots is a solid spot all around. Great atmosphere, amazing seasonal offerings, and one-of-a-kind food. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Very cute coffee shop! Love the vibe. Staff was friendly and made the lattes perfectly! Coffee tasted fabulous! Could have been a little hotter but other than that, excellent! If ever back in Greensboro, we will stop in again!

Northern Roots is such a gem. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the staff really goes above and beyond. They've got great muffins, coffee, quiche -- all of it. My daughter never eats spinach, but she tore up their spinach feta quiche like it was nothing. I was shocked. I didn't even know what drink I wanted, just asked for something strong and good, and they made me the perfect coffee. Flavorful, bold -- exactly what I needed. I'll definitely be back. If you haven't gone yet, trust me, you're missing out.

Amazing coffeehouse near the Main Street of Greensboro. I got an iced pumpkin white chocolate latte with pumpkin cocoa flakes. It was like drinking pumpkin cheesecake. The ambiance of the place was so nice as well! Service was good, the cashier had good knowledge of their drink selection.

Charming and cute coffee house in the heart of Greensboro. I was especially drawn to their feature wall of books, floral arrangements and rounded chessboard.

Delicious coffee and lots of fun seasonal lattes to pick from. Adorable decor with greenery and books everywhere. A bit pricey for a small latte and slow on the execution. it took 10 min for my order, and it was a slow weekday! I can only imagine how long it would be on a weekend :(

Love this place and love coming here however the prices have gone up and the amount of drink I get has gone down! I received a flight today as did my friend and hers was filled and mine was only half full so it was very inconsistent. The flights used to be like $16-$18 and now are almost $24 which is a lot considering it's 4 sample sized drinks. The place is cute and calm and employees nice but when I noted that we got the same flight and mine was significantly different the young lady ignored my comment. See my photo where half the drink is whipped cream. If I were to order again I wouldn't get whipped cream to get a full drink.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite coffee shops in the Triad, and an excellent meeting point for talking with anyone downtown! The owners are super kind people, and their shop is exceptionally inviting and beautiful. It could easily double as an interior decorators office and you'd want to employ them. There are ample spaces for working at a table, lounging in a corner, or having a small group conversation. Beyond the space, the coffee is wonderful. I tend to gravitate toward mochas, and my drink this morning was a seasonal peppermint mocha, perfectly geared toward winter and the holiday season (even though we are just past it). I got it iced regardless of the cold weather, because that's really the only way I drink coffee. The flavor was smooth but bold, with that hint of peppermint. Just enough milk to take the bitterness out, and a great shot of energy. I highly recommend this spot!

My first time and Northern and it won't be my last. I came to unwind during my work day and this coffee shop allowed me to do just that. There are many seating options with chargers near by. Which was much needed since my laptop died. I'm in love with the croissant which was a complete upgrade from the coffee shop I used to get my croissant from. Services was very fast and friendly. Lastly, the choice of music was nice. They played some of my favorite chill r&b songs. Parking wasn't hard for me to find at the time I went, which was directly after the lunch hour rush.

Coffee was tasty and service was nice. But most vital for a coffee shop (for me): workability, vibe, and ambiance needs to be condusive to catch-ups and day jobs. The place was super cute, the wifi supported my Teams calls with no drops, and the atmosphere was quiet enough to work/take calls on with headphones.

So cute!! I was greeted promptly and happily! I got the cinnamon roll latte and it was delish! Had the option for non dairy and I chose almond. So many little cute things for purchase outside of drinks and snacks. I cuddled up in the window nook to read and enjoy my drink and when I tell you I could have stayed there to close, I'm not lying. I definitely want to go back soon to read or work!

We hadn't had coffee this way since our Greece trip in 2019 so we went to see if it was legit. As soon as we walked in we were in awe of the dessert spread that you walk past to get to the counter. The cakes looked SO moist and delicious! There were so many tantalizing flavor combos, but what stopped me in my tracks were the New York Rolls. Think giant crispy stuffed croissants! I ordered the Pistachio Cream one and no lie, it was 6 inches across and 2.5-3 inches tall. They asked if I wanted it heated (umm yes) and it was AHMAZING.i also ordered the fig and honey latte while my husband ordered the Turkish coffee. So good and unique! In fact, our visit was so good that 8 days later I chose Fig and Olive Cafe as a hang out spot for friends and I to gather for brunch. We all got the other three flavors of the New York Roll (Chocolate Hazelnut, Fig and Honey, and Biscoff Cookie) and shared them. I got the Pistachio Crème iced coffee and it was also excellent! 10/10 recommend these pastries! We had the opportunity to sit at the cafe from 9am-12:30 and we sat in cozy leather couches and enjoyed ourselves quite nicely! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Just a typical experience but also a really good college outing memory. The matcha I had from there wasn't particularly my favorite but they used to keep their espresso machine up at night during the performance, I'm not completely sure if I remember correctly if they sold liquor or alcohol but the drink that I did have from there the first time I went was pretty good. The ambiance is pretty normal for greensboro, I feel like almost every establishment you walk in, there will be cracked floors but I just remember the staff was pretty awesome and as far as pastries, they had a pretty good variety and gluten free options and other food sensitivity options. I believe a few years ago, I recall an episode of "Catfish" where Nev and Max also visited this place so that was pretty interesting to experience that but honestly a pretty decent place.
