Updating review because I've finally perfected my order. First and foremost, they do light ice and syrups on any beverages here. That, and I believe they pull shots more on the ristretto side. It also could be that because some of their syrups are homemade, th balance of water in the syrup causes for more dilution in the taste vs. traditional mfg syrups. For this latte loving girl, I've found that ordering my lattes "short" (less milk" or with extra ice is a sufficient workaround. This little gem is a nice "third place" in Ardmore. Dark farmhouse modern interior that can get a little loud at times. Baristas are friendly enough. Bring your own cup and they discount 10% off your drink total! read more

Ardmore coffee is one of my favorite coffee houses in Winston-Salem! Opening the doors you can smell the aroma of the freshly roasted coffee beans with the sweetness of the pastries and treats that they sell! There Coffee is top-notch always rich, robust and flavorful! I got my usual a slice of their chocolate chip banana bread that is always fresh moist and scrumptious! Of course I got my usual iced oat milk mocha latte with a little bit of cinnamon mixed into the espresso. This drink is always flavorful and never too sweet! I love this as I enjoy tasting the coffee and not so much of the sweetness of the chocolate. There has to be a perfect balance between the chocolate flavor and the coffee and this place has it on point! The coffeehouse is so quaint, and the music is perfect for the ambience. It's it's small and comfy with a cozy vibe. The employees are always kind and very friendly. They speak to you as soon as you open the doors! This is always a plus! There were several customers coming in and out and ordering things like a banana pudding latte! It sounded good, so I will have to get it the next time I come! This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. Inside was very homie and warm. They had a lot of seasonal specials and their pastries look delicious. We tried two of their seasonal specials and they also have a lot of milk choices. They have plenty of tables inside if you need to get work done. The barista was very nice and helpful too! She was the only one working, however, so it did take a little bit until the drinks were made. Even on a weekday afternoon it was pretty busy here. They also have ample sunlight coming in, which I always love in a coffee shop. There's also a parking lot beside it with ample spots. Would I come back? As a local of Winston-Salem, I can honestly say it does not get better than this for coffee. Ardmore Coffee is a true neighborhood gem. My year-round go-to is their iced vanilla latte -- smooth, perfectly balanced, and consistently delicious no matter the season. But when I want to switch it up, I do so with their seasonal menu. I'm enjoying their toasted marshmallow latte on the fall menu it's a total treat -- fun, cozy, and just the right amount of sweet with that hint of campfire flavor. The colada is also a favorite of mine. No matter what you order, they truly can't make a bad cup of coffee. It was a moody sunrise at Ardmore Coffee today. This award-winning coffee house is in the heart of Ardmore. Early mornings are the perfect time to grab a beverage and sit outside their patio area and watch the people run or walk their dogs. Their indoor area has a vibe. It's decorated with you in mind. It's the perfect place for a book, work, or hanging out with your community. I went there to try the Banana Pudding Latte matcha style and it was amazing! Iced, gluten-free, sweetened with vanilla syrup, topped with creamy pudding cold foam + vanilla wafer crumbles! It was perfect for a Saturday morning. 5 stars! Must try (really)! Or order a pure delicate Green tea when you just want to drink goodness for breakfast. Their coffee lattes are great too. They do offer a variety of my favorite coffee roasters to include Triad favorite, Vignette. Baked goods today were made by DoughbyChlo, an NC Baker. I tried the dairy-free Banana Chocolate Chip Bread. Delicious! Pairs well with a nice strong black coffee. Ardmore is definitely a coffee shop to put on your list this summer! I'd heard good things about this coffee shop for quite some time, and I'll admit that its reputation is well-deserved. Ardmore is cozy without being cramped. Local art (available for purchase) adorns the walls, and there's a vaguely retro vibe. It does "quaint neighborhood coffeeshop" unironically and well. Of course, the coffee is quite good, too as are the baked goods. My wife and I had a cherry vanilla latte and a creme brulee latte, respectively, off the Winter menu and shared a ham and cheese croissant and a piece of chocolate banana bread. Creme brulee drinks are sometimes overly sweet, but this one was not. Served hot and promptly by an amiable barista, it was warm and satisfying, especially in sub-freezing temperatures. I don't know when I'll get out to this area of Winston next, but for those who live closer, Ardmore is a must. read more

I tried this little gem this weekend and let me just say I have been twice in 24 hours. Just up the street from PB's-which we frequent, so I will definitely be back! I never knew this place existed until a quick Google search when the place I was originally going to for coffee posted that they'd be closed. I am so glad I got the chance to pop in and see what they had to offer. I opted for the Banana Pudding latte which comes iced only. It was so delicious and had such good flavors without being incredibly sweet. I could still taste the espresso in the drink-which I love. The people working both days were incredibly nice and worked very quickly to make my drinks and get me on my way. There was a nice seating area in the back as well as along the wall with tables if I wanted to hang around a bit or meet with someone. There was also seating out front and I noticed they had a water bowl with fresh water put out for four legged friends. This place is well worth a visit! read more

First off - I know parking can be a pain for this coffee shop. Luckily, we aren't too far and don't need to worry too much about this. Coffee is great - they're quick, efficient, and they always have fun flavors each season. The coffee is not overly sweet, which is a huge plus because I want to taste the coffee but also have fun flavors. (My favorite so far are the Salty Coconut and the Banana Pudding Latte). They have great local beans on sale too - which I love when coffee shops support each other and local roasters. It is ALWAYS packed here, but if you can find a seat in the back, it's a great place to work. If you can get a seat outside, it's the best for people/dog watching (especially with the new pet store coming up next door). That's Ardmore for you. read more

I came across Ardmore Coffee after having lunch with some friends and family. Conveniently located next door to a bakery, we came in for a cup of Joe. There is outdoor seating as well as an open air bar. We met the owners who were very welcoming and gave us a little background of their business. The place was clean and filled with aromas of fresh coffee brewing. I went with a regular drip brewed hot coffee with half and half and sugar. IN LOVE with this coffee shop. Let me tell you why. Service - our barista, I forgot his name, but he's blonde and beautiful and knowledgeable, was awesome. He knew how to help us through the menu, appreciated our ridiculous enthusiasm, was friendly, and made our lattes perfectly (with gorgeous latte art). Lattes - we both got honey coconut lattes. Almost all of their syrups are made in house and you can tell. Our lattes tasted like toasted coconut and we didn't need to order them half sweet - the perfect amount of sweetness and true taste. I ordered mine extra hot and my husband ordered his standard hot and yes, there was a difference in temperature. Small little coffee shop in Winston right by Stratford Road, they had indoor seating and outdoor seating. Quick service they had the coffee out very fast, I got a chai latte with a shot of espresso, it was okay it definitely needed some more spice/flavor it kind of just tasted like milk. This spot has the perfect neighborhood coffee shop vibe, which is solidified when you learn that the baristas are the owners. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. They had a seasonal winter menu and some delicious pastries on the counter. I had already purchased some baked goods from the bakery next-door, but I would definitely give their pastries a try next time. I went for the caramel brûlée latte and my husband had an Americano. The quality and taste of the coffee was superb. The caramel Brulé was caramelized perfectly. This was truly the best coffee experience I've had in a long while. While small, there is seating inside and a small amount of outdoor seating. It's never been a big issue, but just keep in mind that if you're going with the intentions of sitting, working, or chatting with friends, you may have to get creative with your seating. The Baristas are always friendly, helpful, and quick! The menu is simple, straightforward, and easy to read and order from. The drink was 5-star. So so so good with a combo of three of my favorite things. Coffee. Black salt. Caramel. I do wish lattes didn't cost so much but I suppose that is the world now. Star deduction for a screaming baby and spotty internet service. However, they let people into their private network to help solve the internet issue and the baby eventually left...as did the three women talking at the top of their lungs in a space that was otherwise quiet. I finally got to try Ardmore coffee. I need to preface this by saying that I did not get a latte, and I am absolutely going to be back to try one. They use Vignette beans and they're top tier. I did have the matcha and it wasn't out of this world. Good service-- some customers without spacial awareness but that's expected in a small venue. That's what my daughter and I did on a recent visit on a cool, cloudy day. Seasonal coffee was available, but I chose an iced mocha latte'. As I waited for my order, I moseyed through the wood-floored store. Plenty of indoor seating is available in a few different rooms and a bar with high chairs facing the street. Outdoor seating is located on the patio as you walk in. The service was friendly and helpful, and the order was ready in a decent amount of time. My daughter and I leisurely enjoyed our coffees and view from the high bar, and then continued with our day, feeling much better after the relaxing stop (and the caffeine). read more

Ardmore area is pretty adorable anyway, and Ardmore coffee is too! Small, but friendly, local with great coffee. On a Tuesday afternoon, I went to get my cappuccino and it was nice and strong and made just like I wanted it. I asked for it dry, more foam, and he did a great job. Simple decor, few baked goods and bagels. Other drinks in refrigerator available, and some seasonal creations, fall just came out all you pumpkin fans! Few benches outside, which was the perfect spot for my afternoon brew. I love these small, Neighborhood spots, who do exactly what they are about, just good coffee. No frills.
