I am appalled at the customer service that I recieved from Carolina Exports!! As a woman I felt it necessary to share my story so that all other women can be cautious of this dealer!! I spent over 5 hours with a sales rep trying to get the best price for a car that I was considering buying. I was told that 25,900.00 was the lowest they could go. My husband went to inquire about the same vehicle with the same sales rep that I spoke with a week later and was given a 3,000.00 price difference. My husband was told 22,900.00 was the lowest they could go. Needless to say we will not be buying anything from this dealer! read more

This guy is a crook. I put $500.00 down on a 2010 Ford Fusion for my son. It had a dent on the hood, was missing a piece for the grill, and the bumper needed clipped up. It listed at $4700 as is or $5500 with him replacing the hood, securing the bumper and adding the chrome strip to the grill. I decided to have him fix it. Talked with his repair guy and he agreed to replace the hood, paint it, and do the bumper and strip. 1 week later he called and said it was done and we could pick it up. The hood was pounded out very poorly, didn't paint the hood, instead sprayed the damaged third with a stone chip repellant and that was it. I took the car to Caliber Collision and they quoted me $3800 to repair it. He laughed and said they were crooks. I asked for my money back and he laughed again and said he wouldn't give it back. He told me to F**k off and so could Caliber. He is a vulgar and crooked. DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM. read more

I bought a used 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe here less than 3 months ago. I paid $14,000, which was under Bluebook. The guy swore it was a good vehicle and had no issues. A few days after having it I noticed that the cruise control didn't work, the seat heater/AC didn't work, the outlets on the front to charge your phone, etc didn't work, the drivers seatbelt started messing up where it wouldn't retract, and occasionally a light came on in the dash that had something to do with the Stabilitrak. I replaced the brake controller to fix the cruise, was able to take apart the seatbelt mechanism and fixed it myself. I was 5 hours away from home and the truck started smoking and missing. I took it to a Chevy dealer and they ended up telling me that it needed a new motor. As I don't always trust one persons opinion, I took it to a second reputable mechanic. He also said that it needed a new motor and the only other way to fix it was to replace pistons, among a few other things that would end up being about $1500 cheaper than just replacing the whole motor. I contacted the guy at Carolina Exports and he told me that it didn't need a new motor even though he hadn't looked at it and that the 2 places I had taken it didn't know what they were talking about. I believe this guy buys vehicles at auctions knowing they have problems, cleans them up good and then sales them making thousands off of each sale. He doesn't give any kind of warranty and is just out to make a buck. Although I knew that I bought it "As is", it is wrong for someone to take $14,000.00 from someone and then 3 months later they have to put another $6000.00 in the same vehicle for a new motor. I would not recommend Carolina Exports to anyone looking for a used vehicle and don't trust the guy. If you're able to read people at all you can tell this guy is shady. read more

I purchased a Silverado here with low miles (120,000) for $13,000. I looked it over well, test drove it and all seemed fine. The truck was very clean so I made the purchase. I was told that it didn't have a warranty, but with it seeming to be in good condition from driving it and very clean, I went ahead and made the purchase. 4 weeks later I am putting a new transmission in it. It started slipping on me one day on the way home from work. I took it into a mechanic and he said that it was obvious that someone had worked on the transmission and that there was sawdust around the transmission. I'm no mechanic but have heard of some type of trick like that so I'm not sure but the mechanic said it had likely had transmission problems before and someone tried to cover it up. I called Joey who sold me the truck and he told me that there was nothing he could do and that it didn't have a warranty and hung up on me. From the other reviews I've read it seems that this is how he does business. Therefore, I will never buy a vehicle from this guy again and will spread the word so no one that I know does either. This guy obviously cleans up vehicles really good and sells them, and then before long you will be replacing something very pricey on it. DO NOT BUY FROM CAROLINA EXPORTS! read more
