We stopped coming here over a year ago because the car washing experience was not very good. Did need a car wash, so just for convenience, pulled in. For their top of the line car wash, Super Polyprocess, was $35.99. And, although better than past experience, the result was disappointing. At lease they are washing the rags used to wipe down interiors and do the window glass. However, they missed a number of spots, leaving the original crud on the glass. Come on guys! We have been doing further along Hwy 521 to Sam's. You get a gas discount if you get a car wash, the premium wash is around $15 and although you have to wipe down the car and do the windows, at least your car is looking good. We will not be using Autobell any more. read more

My vehicle was covered in salt and the inside was very dirty. They did an excellent job of cleaning the inside and outside. I didn't realize they offered another vacuuming service where they cleaned all of the hard-to-reach places. The store manager checked the vehicle, found a couple of areas that needed to be redone. If you haven't been to AutoBell, Indian Land in a while give them another try. I believe they have a new manager who makes sure the job is done right. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by this location to get his truck washed. He went with the SuperPloy process, which costs about $30, as this is his normal wash choice! The wash was decent, their were two young men detailing his car. Unfortunately, they completely ignored the wheels and door jams & he had to go over them himself. The interior was cleaned well, but the interior tends to stay clean anywho. We love Autobell! But the attention to detail at this location is lacking this time. read more

Paid $43 for the 2fer. Used the second one yesterday. Asked to have the windows and dash left as is. Just had tint done and don't want Armorall on my leather dash. Got truck home and found out I had to vacuum again to get the dirt under the mats. Had to clean around the doors since they skipped them. Had to clean the glass in the back again since it was cloudy. Had to clean the console to get the coffee stains off that they missed. Not sure what they did actually! All in all a lousy job for a high end SuperPoly car wash. We took 3 cars in the last 2 weeks. One out of 3 made it home fully cleaned. 1 they didn't vacuum out the trunk, didn't realize until we got home. This was after paying for the highest level of clean. The third car they didn't do the back and we checked this time and asked them to go back and do it. Got home and looked inside the back seats on the van and that part was barely done, still Cheerios and stuff on the floor. Ended up vacuuming it ourselves at home. I have been using this location for Years, but today I feel as though I was robbed by terrible service. I spent $36.99 for an exterior wash plus wheel shine and armor all for the interior. Several spots were missed making it look really bad. They didn't bother to vacuum the back of my SUV. My car is kept relatively clean so it would have only taken someone who gave a dam to do it right an extra minute. I feel partly to blame for not inspecting what I expected. Best wash this state has to offer. I drive 30 minutes every week to this location in order to get the armor all special. The cashiers do a great job and explain what the options are. They really take their time and enjoy their work. Most of these kids are high schoolers who pay for their car, gas, insurance, etc. They never look for tips but always make sure to give you a warm smile and a thanks for coming in. My car looks totally new every time and I refuse to go anywhere else. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!! read more

I live very close to this Autobell and feel they do a better job than most other locations I've visited, consistently. The staff is always attentive and generally they have a sense of urgency since most of the times they run or jog to whatever station they have to be. I LOVE the $4.00 ride through. You pull up, hand them your money and they guide you through the wash. This is a great option for when I don't need the full service and want to wash the bird poop, pollen or whatever off the outside of the car. The Autobell wash even for a rinse off is much better than the gas station machine and less expensive. One of the things that they do well here is "towel management". Some times when you go to other locations or other car washes they wipe your windows down with the same towel they dry off your car causing streaks on the window which is a huge no no. I never seem to have this problem at this spot. I did have a time where the chemicals in their washers seemed to be out of whack and my windshield was very streaked but I brought it back and they recleaned them without issue. Very nice! Great job by the Autobell staff in cleaning my car. I was somewhat skeptical because of some of the bad reviews but after I had the Managers Special done I was impressed. The young man that worked on it busted his butt and never stuck his hand out for a tip. In fact, not once did I ever see workers looking like they expected a tip. For all those cheapskates that don't tip consider this. That kid is probably working to pay for his own car and gas. They probably make minimum wage and if you watch them closely you see them move from car to car without a break. It's hard labor and if you don't think so you try washing drying and vacuuming five to ten cars per hour for eight hours. Break out your wallets and toss them a five. read more

I went to the Indianland location prior to going out of town. I paid $27+ for the Manager's Special...little did I know that was the same thing as the $4 drive through. They literally ran a vacuum through my car for about a minute and ran the car through the wash. They did not armor-all the tires, did not wipe down the windows, did not put a fresh scent in - and most important, they did not wipe the car down. The inept attendant literally stated that they no longer wipe cars down. They left soap all over my car. No just a little, but very visible soap all over the hood, trunk and coming out from the door cracks. I could have been slightly forgiving if it had been busy, but I was the only one there. They had two staff working and it took them 45 minutes to do absolutely nothing to my car. This was the worst carwash experience I have ever had, and resulted in me having to hand wash my car when I got home. When I called to file a complaint, I got a call back from a manager who's entire solution was for me to take more of my time and bring it back tot he same location for a free wash. He was not concerned that he had an employee lie and steal from me, but was only interested in giving me a coupon and having me go away. I genuinely feel ripped off and deceived. I could have gone to a self-spray car wash and gotten a better job for less than $5. If this is the kind of business and service Autobell provides, they should close down and try a different line of business. I will never go back to Autobell and discourage everyone from using this location at all cost. If I could give a rating lower than one star, I would! read more

I have used this location several times because I have never had a bad experience until today. I went after work and even though it was not crowded at all, I received very poor service. There were spots left on my side mirror and the back was vacuumed in a rush, they left lots of sand. The prices are very reasonable but they do need to get some organization over there to make sure that each car is done in a timely manner and keep up the pace with the amount of cars vs. employees so your car doesn't dry while waiting for someone to get to it. read more

I haven't been to Autobell in years and yesterday i was reminded why. I paid $25.99 for an interior/exterior clean. I waited around 20 minutes and when I was called to my car I immediately lifted the back of my SUV and confirmed that it had not been vacuumed, so i asked the guy to take care of it. After I got in my car, i noticed nothing on the interior had been touched! When i got home, I had to clean the dash myself, clean the windows and vaccuum areas that were missed. Not to mention, there were water spots all over my car! I try and offer companies second and third chances, but Autobell keeps confirming why I don't use them. I hate that because i love the concept of a clean car in a short amount of time. I have been to this location multiple times, most recently today. I got there around 5 pm - they were quite busy. I have never had an issue with the exterior wash or drying, but it is a rare visit where I don't have to ask them to revisit the interior. Today, I noticed immediately there were still pine needles on the driver's side floorboard and that the car mat remained detached. I got in after this was corrected, and then noticed the cup holders had not been cleaned - there were both crumbs and a sticky substance in the bottom. The guy working on my car apologized again profusely (the staff here is always very nice) and cleaned that too. After I left the car wash, I noticed there was still dust/debris on the instrument panel/dashboard. I had Swiffer cloths at home, so just kept going. Wash purchased: Super polyprocess ($30). Time spent: 22 minutes until I was notified the vehicle was ready the first time; no more than another 5 minutes to have other issues addressed. Restroom/facility: clean. read more

I hate that it's so far from where I live but I continue to make the drive to Indian Land (521) because of how awful the service is at the auto bell on carowinds location. The employees always take their time on my vehicle and continuously make me feel like a valued customer. My first trip to this Autobell and my last. I got the Special "A" Pkg., 1 Full Service, 1 Polish...cost $19.99. If I had known how my vehicle looked after the $19.99 I would have opted for the $4.00 drive thru...My truck had alot of pollen on it. I thought a car wash company could do a better job than I could, but not so...Nobody offered any thing about the different packages available, I had to ask questions and was given very short answers. Three cars ahead of mine. I did not notice any differences in what went on with the wash, but I do know the one in front of me was a drive thru. There were dirty areas all over, even some bird poop, that was not noticed by the person drying to vehicle until he called me to come to get it.
