They also stayed in touch with me throughout the whole procedure! I was so impressed that when luck would have it that I was in yet another accident, I brought my car back to Keffer! My father & I went in together to buy a truck from Danny Philbeck and Stateline Motor Company. We…read morejust wanted a truck that was 4x4 & that was dependable. The color, make, model, etc didn't matter. Just wanted it to run...not too difficult of criteria to meet if you're an automobile dealer. The check engine light came on while test driving and Mr. Philbeck said that it was "probably just an O2 sensor" and that he'd get it "fixed". We returned when the truck was ready and paid $4,000 in cash up front for a truck that Danny said had a motor that "ran real strong". Two weeks later the check engine light came on again. I returned the truck & Mr. Philbeck said he'd have his top mechanic look at it. I picked it back up a few days later with the check engine light now off. A week later it came back on and I re-visited Stateline Motor again asking Danny to make it right. He said he would send me to a different mechanic to take a deeper look. I took the truck over to a different location. The guy looked at it, said he fixed it, and didn't charge me anything. The light kept coming on, but this time it started blinking. Mr. Philbeck told the guy who referred me to him that he would make it right and switch out the truck for a different one. That never happened. When it became apparent that Stateline Motor Company wasn't going to make it right I had no choice but to try to get it fixed on my own. After spending $2,000 more dollars on the truck in between 4 different mechanics the truck is now sitting in the junk yard. I guess it's never good when the mechanics started asking who sold the truck to me because they wanted to know who had sold something in that bad of shape to a consumer. I ride by the junk yard nearly every week and seeing it there reminds me of this whole bad experience. If Stateline Motor Company wants to come and get the truck out of the junkyard and give me something that actually runs, I'll gladly update this post. Until then If you would like to set fire to your time & money...then just buy a vehicle at Stateline Motore Company.

I was excited about purchasing a Mazda CX-5 from Car Max and had the car shipped from one Charlotte…read morelocation to Independence. 30 minutes before my appointment to purchase, the salesman texted me that someone had sideswiped the car during transit, but it was just a few scratches that they could fix. Upon arrival, there were multiple scratches and dents around the vehicle, both passenger-side doors, rear rim, and including additional scratches the other side of the car and back. These additional scratches were not disclosed, and the salesman's message absolutely downplayed the damage. After the team tried fixing it, some scratches and the dents were still clearly visible. Carmax wouldn't adjust the price despite the new (unrepaired) damage. I don't think they're going to update the listings pictures, and I feel like there was prior undisclosed damage to the car. If you're looking to purchase a car from here, be extremely careful that you're not getting played.
