24 hour quick rear bumper repair
    Aaliyah W.

After a minor incident, I was on the search to get my rear bumper repaired again unfortunately. I initially went to Caliber Collision since they had previously completed all of my prior repairs. I had just got my bumper repaired in November after being rear ended & the final bill was around $700. When I came in last week for an estimate they stated $1300 for damage! I knew right away they were overcharging & made my way over to Carsmetics after reading another customers review with Caliber. Carsmetics came up with an estimate around $700 then even after adding everything Caliber listed it was around $1K. Ultimately, the bumper was repaired for $768 & completed within 24 hours, yes 24 HOURS! I thought it was a joke when I dropped it off on Monday but here it is Tuesday & I'm back in my baby! Big thanks to Phillip & the rest of the Carsmetics team. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone in Charlotte!

Very professional and willing to think through cost/benefit for out-of-pocket repairs. Super trustworthy and quality of work is excellent.

I came here on a recommendation from the owner of H&H Automotive, another great business, so I knew I was going to be treated well. I wasn't steered wrong. I needed a new door handle installed for my Yukon. I'm thinking it's going to cost $500. I don't know anything about auto body repairs. But I was invoiced for less than half of that. And the work was completed in a few hours. I might break something on one of my cars just to deal with them again lol. Ask for Andrew...

Frame damage was very obvious, especially to an expert, in the photos. And still, Mason, who was supposed to see this through, hasn't addressed me. In short, this shop may be sufficient for those referred through insurance or with minor cosmetic repairs, but the treatment I got as an out of pocket paying customer truly sucked, for lack of a better word. In short, the owner, Mason, brushed me off, and his techs will only work on cars they deem worthy. Don't blindly believe the hype on the good reviews. I have an older model vehicle that was badly damaged and couldn't be inspected in person. Despite this, the owner agreed to create an estimate from photos he requested and even said he would begin ordering parts. He was confident his shop could take care of the work. Just a few days later, he became unresponsive, ignoring several emails from me. I finally called, and he was still adamant that the work could be done and to just have the car towed in at "any time that is convenient for you" which happened to be on a Friday. When I called to check that the car had arrived, he was "working on the paperwork." On Monday when I went by to finalize things and sign the paperwork, I found out that, at some point, he'd decided the car was irreparable but failed to reach out to share this information with me. There were ample opportunities along the way to let me know this. By the way, Mason was too busy discussing classic cars with a couple of other customers to be bothered to even acknowledge me at any point in time, even though I was told he was the one in charge of my specific case. After being ignored for a good 20 minutes, another tech explained that there was nothing they could do for the vehicle. I asked how soon I needed to remove it from their yard, the answer was an apathetic "soon," as if I was the nuisance, even though the shop agreed to this. As supposed experts in this field, they should have had an inkling these parts would not be easy to find, first-hand, since they don't use salvaged parts (which I didn't learn until after the fact). Ultimately, I ended up having to tow the car back home on my own dime. To add insult, there's now damage to the back bumper which was fine before it went to their overcrowded lot.

The rep (who works at Keffer VW) was very nice & patient in explaining the estimate & the process. A highlight was them coming to Keffer with a rollback to pick up my car & bringing it back when my car was ready. A rep from Scott Auto Body kept me updated every day throughout the process. The time it took to repair my car was very reasonable (3 days) & I was happy that they were using genuine VW parts & VW certified technicians. My car looks perfect! It looks as if nothing ever happened. They washed it & detailed it inside. Looks brand new! I will definitely use them again, if I need to.

That diversity of clients was confidence inspiring in my decision. Ravi at Caliber was easy to work with. The estimate process was painless. Had an appointment in 2 weeks. Vehicle repairs took 5 business days, mostly due to waiting on 3rd parties like the wheel repair and paintless dent repair experts. Vehicle looked sharp, possibly as good as the day we bought it, when I picked it up. I will definitely recommend Caliber to friends and family.
