Customer service at the front desk and the female Doctor that was on today. I literally called to let them know that I am running late , I am on my way (that's what I said). The lady at the front desk said "so you are coming though". I said "oh yes ma'am, I am on 26 I'm just running late". Lady said "lucky man". I get there and was told that I couldn't be seen because they had a 4 o'clock and there add-in was longer than expected. While sitting out here filling this out the 4 o'clock showed up at 4:20. They sure did let her keep the appointment. When the doctor told me she couldn't see me, she was not even polite about it. If someone calls and says I'll be there in a few or I'm running late. Just go ahead and tell them whether or not you'll be able to see them or not. Do not go to this eye doctor. It was just Rudeness and a waste of my time. read more

We went in to pick up my son's new glasses and when the receptionist brought them to us the glasses were tilted excessively, nose pads angled etc. We had to ask to have an optician adjust them. The man still never got the nose pads flat and never checked the bend behind his ears. My son told the optician that things seemed weird. He dismissed him saying well just wear them. if they still seem off by Monday come back in. I couldn't believe that's all they did for a kids first pair of glasses. We weren't halfway home before his head started hurting and he felt a sick to his stomach. I didn't feel confident taking them back to the same optician so I had the glasses checked somewhere else. Found out the lenses were in backwards-like left lens was put in right side eye wire and right lens in the left. The optician who checked them for us put the lenses in correctly and instantly my son said, wow that's so much better. I can imagine. He got those glasses because the eye check at dmv for his permit showed a problem with his vision. Thank God we found someone to fix them before he actually wore them to practice driving. read more

I got my eye exam and progressive glasses here. Everything went as one might expect. No notes. I had never worn progressives before. So, I thought getting big lenses would be best. But, I regretted it because it meant I had to look at a much steeper downward angle to read my phone. When I came back a little over 30 days later because I wanted to try a different frame with shorter lenses, they were willing to honor their customer satisfaction policy anyway. Last year I was never informed my glasses were ready, they had them for almost 3 weeks before I found out they were ready. This year (2025) I began to worry this had happened again, so I called. They informed me that my frames I selected were on backorder and they don't know when they will be ready. Now I'm going to have to order a cheap pair from Wal Mart. I must say two years running they are the worst I have ever dealt with. Additionally both years they messed up my insurance filing and charged me full copay without my insurance discount and wouldn't fix the mistake either time. My eyes have never been the same since they put the dilation drops in my eyes!!!!! I truly think there was something wrong with those drops. I actually felt like there was something gritty in the drops!!! The glasses I got I can not even see out of, everything's blurry and I put my old glasses on and my vision is still blurry. And the eye doctor told me I had the start of cataracts and I'm only 63. read more

I went there they took my insurance card scanned it then gave it back to me after it was all done I went to check out and the man said $308.00 I was like wait what how much did my insurance pay he said a small bit so I paid the whole amount I took the receipt to work and they totally lied to me the receipt said no insurance type on it they filed it as no insurance I will never go back there again read more

I recently went to MyEyeDr and must revise everything I previously said. a world of difference has occurred. I never had a complaint about the doctor. His extremely caring attitude and ability to explain things in understandable language puts him at the top of the list so far as doctors go. I changed this review because management under Trinity has made this place fantastic. I never had such fine customer service at any eye doctor, ever. Nothing more needs to be said. I would advise anyone looking for an eye doctor to try this place first. read more

Self and family have been patients for years starting with Dr. Mike Sowa. Great techs and docs... Love Dr. Faber, but since being absorbed into MyEyeDr the rest of the office has gone to hell .... trying to contact them through corporate is futile. The girls at the desk could easily work a double at Goodwill. The glasses / eyewear station guy couldn't try any harder to discourage business.etc. etc. Have moved my records to Carolina Ophthalmology. read more

I have been going to Dr. Skierczynski for 10 years and have been very happy with him and Dr. Faber. Since My Eye Doctor took over, every visit has been a frustrating experience for months after the visit. Even though I pay during each visit, I have received bills and threatening letter for services that I did not receive. If I paid them, it would add up to 100's of dollars. I finally got the insurance company to call them to get my money back for charges that were made without my knowledge. They even back billed for the past two years after I had already closed out those tax years. When I called with questions, I was switched around for an hour and never got any answers. The onsite financial officer would not talk to me about my account. I finally just waited until it was written off since I couldn't get any explanation of the extra and hidden charges. My glasses prescription was messed up and so I went to another My eye Dr to get some more eye glasses and discovered that the Hendersonville Road office had charged me $130 dollars instead of billing the insurance. I've Transferred my records to Carolina Ophthalmology and will go to Dr. Duggan for services for now on. I really hate to leave Dr. Ski but I tried for a year to get some administrative cooperation and finally gave up. When I went to Dr. Duggan, he said he had other new patients that had joined his practice because of their negative experiences with My Eye Doctor. read more

TLDR: Complete lack of empathy in a situation where it would have cost nothing to care. My 3 year old had an appointment at 430. I left work an hour early and picked him up from daycare with plenty of time. Traffic was even worse than usual and I called 3 times, 2 in which they answered the phone. The first time was at 4:20 when I should have already been there given the time I left. My GPS said I'd be there by 4:34 and I just wanted to let them know. They said if I was there by 4:45 it was fine. When the traffic continued to be slow I called again at 4:36 to no answer. I called again at 4:38 and let them know I was 0.3 miles away but it was saying I would not be there until 4:43. They said that was still within the window. I pulled in at 4:44 and walked through the door at 4:45. They said it was 4:46 "according to our system" and would not see my son. They didn't honor what they said. I explained the things going on in our personal lives that made rescheduling virtually impossible (this appointment took almost 2 months to schedule in the first place) but it was of no concern to them even though we made it by their rules and I was told 2x on the phone we would be seen if we got there by 4:45. They also suggested that they couldn't see him at the time they told me due to his age (and being a new patient, which would be understandable if I hadn't already filled everything out). Just because he's 3 doesn't make him difficult. We talked about going for several days before and he was excited to be going. When we got to back to the car he asked why we weren't going. I told him they wanted us there earlier and he said "but I want to." We talk about feelings and emotions in our family and he is almost always cooperative for things like this. It was clear to him I had been upset and he asked why I was sad and angry. I let him know I was disappointed and he told me to count to 10. His age never should have been a factor in denying him service. He needs to be able to see. And let's be honest here, even if I was there 1 minute too late and my son was in hysterics, that is bad business. The doctor was seeing someone else when we arrived. If we'd been there at 430 we still would have been waiting. And if he took the next patient after me at 430 then it would have just been as if we had switched appointments.
