Was visiting friends in Hendersonville and my eyeglasses broke right at the bridge. Jimmy said he…read morecouldn't fix them as they were titanium, but recommeded Goldsmith by Rudi in town as he had an argon laser. Had to wait until the next day as Rudi was not in that day, but I get a text 10 minutes after they opened saying my repair was ready picked them up, took them back to Jimmy and he popped the lens back in and adjusted them for me. No charge! Would highly recommend to anyone.

He immediately asked me if I had Medicare and, when I responded in the affirmative, he recommended that I go to another store that he knew accepted Medicare. It should be known that although Medicare does not have an eyeglass plan, they do cover necessary eyeglass prescriptions for patients who have undergone cataract surgery. I probably would not have not this had he not told me. Since moving to this area of North Carolina, from out of state, my wife and I have been amazed at the ubiquitous honesty and kindness of the North Carolinians we have met. Jimmy was no different. On top of everything else, upon noticing the broken pair of glasses clenched in my hand, he offered to repair it for me and refused our attempt to pay him for this. We're glad to be living here.

I am very impressed with Walmart Vision Center. I had my eye examination done somewhere else but…read moredue to costs, I came to Walmart Vision for the glasses. I noticed that I was having problems reading road signs. I was seeing double. The "other" place did not take ownership of this problem. Instead, they stated my eyes had changed some and gave me a new prescription. We are only talking about 3 months so I doubt my eyes had changed at all if any. I was looking at paying for over $300 for new glasses again. When I talked with Walmart Vision Center, they stepped up to the plate and told me that would replace them free of charge. My hats off to Walmart Vision Center, especially Holly and April, who made my day much better. I will be going to Walmart Vision Center In Hendersonville, NC from now on for all my eye exams as well as my glasses. Debbie Banther

Today I went into Walmart Vision Center to have a replacement bow repaired on my glasses. The woman…read morehad replaced the bow two weeks prior. The woman took my glasses into the back and when she returned she said she couldn't fix them. When she handed my glasses back to me they were missing the entire bow and hinge. I told her that I had to have the parts so I could at least try to glue them so I had something to wear. She huffed and went back into the back. This time when she came out she said she couldn't find the hinge because she had thrown it in the trash. When she saw that I was dismayed she said "well, it was mine anyway" and turned and walked away. We then went to Dr. Tim Anderson at Professional Vision Center. They were so kind and helpful and happily repaired my glasses with a new bow and hinge. Five minutes later we walked out with my glasses repaired, adjusted and cleaned at no cost. Do not waste your time going to a cut rate place like WalMart Vision Center.

I assisted my ninety-three year old mother into AEA's macular degeneration department. I was…read moreappalled to observe that none of the technicians inserting the numbing drops into patients eyes had medical gloves on to protect the patients or themselves. I asked why. The young tech curtly replied, "We sanitize our hands before and after the procedure!" This same tech was using her keyboard, mouse and a pen!" Her long hair wasn't contained either! She gave the hand sanitizer one brief squirt, then grabbed the door handle before repeating the eye numbing procedure again on another patient! It was appalling! This should not be going on in 2025!

To start with they DEMANDED either a credit card or a $200 deposit BEFORE THEY WOULD EVEN SEE ME…read more!!! I have NEVER had a "doctor" absolutely refuse to see a patient until they PAID FIRST ! I arrived on time for my appointment (one person was ahead of me in waiting room). after waiting an HOUR, I saw the "technician" pull up in the parking lot !!! The "technician" did the examination NOT THE DOCTOR ! Why did I even bother to make an appointment ?! Finally I was "SEEN" by the "doctor" ( she basically GLANCED at the exam done by the technician and AGREED WITH IT ! ) I go back into the lobby to select my frames, wait another 20 minutes, and was then "allowed" to talk to the woman in charge of ordering frames. IT WAS LIKE TALKING TO A USED CAR SALESMAN ! She "ENCOURAGES" you to "spoil yourself a little" and purposely steers you toward the more expensive frames ! Usually the frames are grouped according to price (cheapest on the left and gradually get more expensive as you move to the right), BUT NOT HERE ! The frames are all mixed together ! The $50-$70 frames are RIGHT BESIDE the $500-$600 frames ! You have to pick-up each and every pair of frames and check for the price ! I AM NOT CHEAP OR POOR, but I do have a limited budget and insurance coverage !!! I FINALLY GOT SO MAD, I GOT UP AND WALKED OUT !!! I have been going here for years, but not anymore I took my business WALMART's and got the EXACT SAME $400 frames (grossly overpriced) for $80 !!! NEVER AGAIN !
