Throughout the course of my visit, Dr. Garten and her staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable through the appointment. Check-in was a breeze, even for someone like me who is a new patient. Dr. Garten's nurses were also very sharp. Dr. Garten herself was a pleasure. She made me feel right at home, listened to my concerns, offered candid thoughts, and didn't hesitate to get me x rays and a brace. Her style was casual but very thorough and precise. It felt like I was being looked at by an old friend as opposed to a complete stranger. I was sent home with exercises for my ankle, a brace, medicine for swelling and even a copy of my x rays. In April 2025, I visited the Ballantyne office to purchase a new set of orthotic inserts. This was my second purchase from this practice, with my first pair obtained more than four years earlier. My clinical experience was excellent. Dr. Glaser provided outstanding care, and I have no concerns regarding the medical treatment received. The issue relates solely to billing and administrative handling. I chose to pay for the orthotics out of pocket rather than submit through insurance. I made two payments: an initial deposit and a final payment at the time I picked up the inserts. In June, I received a bill indicating a balance of $585. The statement showed three-line items: two billed to insurance and one reflecting my self-payment. After reviewing the statement with the billing company, I was informed that the charges were coded incorrectly and required correction by the office staff. I contacted the office twice to explain the issue. After the first call, I believed it had been resolved; however, I received another bill. I called again and reviewed the charges line by line. On July 12, 2025, I received a voicemail from April (which I still have) confirming that I did not owe any balance. She apologized for the lack of progress, stated that the billing manager was addressing the issue, and confirmed that all outgoing statements would be stopped. Based on this communication, I believed the matter was resolved. On December 10, 2025, I received a notice indicating the account had been sent to collections. I visited the office during normal business hours, but the staff was unavailable due to doctors being in surgery. Subsequent phone calls on December 18, January 13 and January 16 resulted in incorrect extensions, redirection to another location that could not assist, and missed opportunities to resolve the issue. I did speak with a staff member named Cristina, who was polite and attempted to help but was unable to resolve the matter. I also contacted the collections agency multiple times. They reached out to the office, and I was later informed by Jamie that there was no record indicating the issue had been resolved. This billing issue has been ongoing since June 2025. Despite multiple phone calls and an in-person visit, the error has not been corrected, and I have not received follow-up communication confirming resolution. My concern is not with the quality of medical care, which was excellent, but with the administrative and billing processes that led to an unresolved error and an account being incorrectly sent to collections.

Dr Crabtree told me then there was a possibility I would need a 'next level' procedure to permanently fix a large toe nail that's growing down, rather than sliding forward. I had the Matricetomy procedure two weeks ago and the follow-up today. The Dr was pleased with the result which was the good news. The not so good news is the 2nd toe is going to need the same procedure. He removed part of the in-grown nail that was causing the pain and said we would need to schedule the next step within six months. This Dr is the best, he is a true pro and is an expert in his field. You can never be too careful when it comes to foot care, especially with in-grown nails and the risk of infection. I'm very pleased to have found Dr Crabtree and his Staff. They provide a high level of care and efficient and professional service.

I told her I've been to see a podiatrist and they did nothing to help. I needed to see an orthopedic surgeon but got no help there because they wouldn't even see me due to what her office said about me. To make matters worse, I have a Thyroid condition that I have to be on medication for daily. Dr. Adefabi had my blood drawn for tests but never sent in a prescription and now I'm 36 hours in without my medication. They're scrambling now to get it filled. What is really troubling to me is that she also had blood tests done on my cholesterol. She received that information that mine is high but she never contacted me. I saw the results in the paperwork mailed to me and had to call her office to ask what I should do. It's so unprofessional that it's amazing to me that there's an "MD" behind her name. My Mom has ask that I not push the issue of her care because she has forgiven them. I regret that as a Christian I let my emotions and frustrations get the best of me before I published a review earlier this week. I should have handled it privately with a personal visit to the doctor to express my feelings. My Mom ask me not to publicly give a negative review because she has forgiven the doctor she saw there . I will be going to talk privately with the doctor who treated my Mom so maybe there can be some lessons learned.
