Worst medical practice I have ever been to. I was rudely treated by a member of Solas over the…read morephone when I called to inquire about a prescription. I was scolded and told "we are severely understaffed and we will get to it when we get to it". Called back a week later to inquire about the status of my pain meds because I was almost out and spoke with the "Office Manager" and I was told that he sits up front where the phones are answered and they are fully staffed and he never heard anyone say that to a patient; I told him, well this is the same number I called a week ago and someone in your clinic spoke to me that way. He made me feel like I was lying to him. He backed off and said well maybe someone in the back answered the phone. Since they are "fully staffed" as he claimed I was wondering why after almost 2 weeks a prior authorization had not been done for my pain meds. He said, "Well I will go ahead and do it now." So when I went back for my monthly appointment I told Lisa O. what had happened and she apologized for being treated that way and told me she was going to go ahead and send in two months worth of my meds and I did not have to return in 30 days, I could make my appointment for 2 months out. My pharmacy called me and said they were out of one of my meds and to contact my Dr, so they could prescribe something equivalent because you have severe withdrawals without this med. So I called and spoke with the "office manager" and told him what was going on and he stated that they never received anything from my pharmacy about needing a sub for my regular med, and I asked if he could please let Lisa know because I only had one week left. He stated he would and he would call me back to let me know what course of action they took. Ok, so here we go again!! This clinic did NOTHING. I called when I had only one day left and they still did NOTHING. Later that day I checked with my pharmacy and the med was back in stock but someone from Solas called and cancelled my prescription because I did not schedule a 30 day appointment. I did not because Lisa said I could come back in 2 months not the regular 30 day. So when I called and spoke with the office manager he told me that no one at that clinic would call and cancel my prescription!!! What the heck, the LIES and total disregard if I went into withdrawals and of course was told he would call me back to let me know what they were going to do. So one week into total full blow withdrawals I called and had to leave a message because the office manager wasn't available, I said it was urgent because of my condition. At that time I decided to call the main office to see if I could get this resolved. Called the Raleigh office and was treated how a patient should be treated and was given the phone number of the head of the clinics in Pinehurst. So I called that number and she was not in yet, and was told to call back in about an hour. While waiting to call her back, the Raleigh office called me to see if I was able to get through (how a patient should be treated); and she took it upon herself to call the head in Pinehurst. Waited a few hours after hearing nothing called the Lumberton office back and once again the office manager was unavailable so I left an urgent message again because of the agonizing pain level I was in. Yes, I was desperate because I was in extreme withdrawals for over a week. Finally the office manager called me back and started counting we have 1, 2, 3 urgent calls from you, can't you wait until your appointment to get your meds refilled. Really, total disregard for the condition I was in, just wanted to berate me and say can't you wait until your next appointment. At that point I said I was never coming back to that place and that I would file a formal complaint. My Orthopedic surgeon who I had seen one week before asked what was going on with my level of pain and I told him my ordeal with this place. He could not believe what he was hearing and said he would get me the number for a reputable pain management clinic.
