This place is out of a scene from a movie! I took my mom and family friend here for drinks and jazz and we could not get over how close we were to the live music and loved our drinks. I got the Midnight Oil martini which was vodka, simple syrup, and Anodyne cold brew. Our server was quick and attentive when we were ready for another drink. This dimly lit, jazzy bar is definitely a good spot for people of all ages who want to get a little dressed up and go out on the town. The location of this spot was a great walking distance from a lot of restaurants. Please note: There is a cover at the door!

We loved our first experience at Caroline's Jazz Club! We had never been before and knew it was a venue that filled up, so we planned to get there right when the door opened. I read on their facebook page that you can call to make a reservation. We left a voicemail with our name and number of people in our party and when we arrived, Caroline had a table ready for us. There was a $12 cover at the door and they do not have food, but allow you to bring your own food in. Larry, who was working the door, gave us chocolates for his birthday! The entire staff was SO KIND. The drink prices were not on the menu but glasses of wine were $8, an old fashioned was $12, and a French 75 was $10, so overall very affordable. It was a packed house on a Saturday night. The group closer to the stage was quieter and listening and the bar crowd was a little louder. They were definitely speaking at a volume that was borderline impolite during a musical performance, but the staff seemed to be aware and mitigated anything that needed to be taken care of. The music was a little louder from where we were sitting which can take a toll on your ears a bit, but all of the musicians were extremely talented and impressive! I would say 2-4 people would be a sweet spot for party size, and definitely call ahead and make a reservation if you have more!

A great place to catch some stellar jazz. Been here for NYE 2 years now. The staff is phenomenal, the band is always playing so well, and the drinks are nice and I believe all were about $11. There is usually a small cover charge on regular nights that's usually around $12. (NYE is $25 with a complementary champagne toast). If you like jazz especially in a cozy intimate environment, this is the place to be.

The bartender was phenomenal. Entertaining and full of jokes. And made some killer drinks! The vibe was everything I pictured!! Will definitely come back again.

I recently attended a show here with BF and friends. We were greeted at the door warmly and were able to pay the cover charge with cash, or for those who never have cash, with a card. We were offered a cozy high top table in the corner, which suited us well. This place is pretty tiny, so there's not really any bad seats. Service was warm and we were checked on often. The sound was excellent and we enjoyed the live music. The drinks were expensive and frankly pretty bad. I had a Manhattan, which weirdly tasted of nothing but water. Rum and diet was no better, nor were BF's drinks. Maybe stick with wine or beer here?

The staff are amazing. The door person is the kindest and most friendly person there and if you come more than once he def remebers you. It's table service for drinks at a table and they will try to set you and your group if possible. Come early on a busy night and you should be set. I usually am able to sit near the front. Ppl dress casual here but it's also a fun place to dress up and look cute. The jazz bands here are V perky and they know how to man a crowd. The drinks are good and the staff are good at making sure you're checked in on. The only con is on a busy night you might not have space for a larger group. I've been here multiple times and it has always been a great experience for me. There is a cover but they accept cash and card.

This guy was sitting behind me and was singing to the music. Very funny dude. At one point he was air jamming guitar

What a great jazz club! I'm from Chicago, and loved it here!!!

We came around 9:15 on a Saturday night, so eager to enjoy the live jazz about to be snowed upon us on a hot August eve. 9:30 strikes and so does the live music, ALIVE with soul and emotion... I'm from Chicago and love live music and a beautiful atmosphere with music lovers with appreciation for the art behind ALL of it. Enjoyed our cocktails, the bar, the EVERYTHING that embodies this place. I have memories here, now, and hope to continue them into the future. Shall i return to the MKE area, I will most DEFINITELY return!!!!

First class jazz club. Saw a Grammy winning horn in a tight quintet. Great drinks and atmosphere.

This is the place to go for really GREAT jazz on Saturday (and now Fridays?) for Paul Spencer and his always talented band.

The waitress's are ok, but the bar food was actually GOOD! Lol. The waitress was a little lackluster, and looked a bit worn down, unlike my last experienced here. The fried party wings are juicy and tasty, so yummy. The sausage / pepperoni pizza took me back to my childhood, great memories of the best pizza topped with delicious cheese. They have a parking lot with a security guard, but it was full by the time we came, however, there was plenty of street parking available. I didn't like the security search down at the door. (But I guess it's necessary) they checked my purse and my body before letting me in... again, I guess I should appreciate it, it's for my own safety after all. The guards were not friendly. (Which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) The MUSIC WAS GREAT!!! A female DJ played a variety of songs, covering the 60s, 70s through today's music, I really enjoyed myself. Oh, they also have a dance floor, so feel free to "cut a rug" lol. . Perfect place for social gatherings. Have a great attitude and have FUN!

Both rooms had bars, and a dance floor. Drinks are very inexpensive compared to clubs in Cali! It only costs $5 to get in. That blew my mind too. Security in and outside the club were friendly. A few of them kept us laughing. The parking lot is small, but there are some spots along the street.

Makes you wonder why you had not done this before. Everybody brings a cooler or a basket with food; and the event organizers kindly ask that you purchase your beverages with the vendors. That's how the can make a profit and support the event (makes sense). Drinks are about $6 per cup. This is my first "Jazz in the Park" and I'll definitely come better prepared next time. Besides my chair, I'll bring a book (for the wait) and snacks! There weren't really many options this time. Happy "Jazz in the Park"! Fun fact: "Jazz in the Park" has its own mascot! I didn't start going to jazz until i moved away from Cathedral Square (well, so I'm 12 blocks away now instead of 1 block,) but I still feel like this is my neighborhood gettogether (as opposed to say, chill on the hill or tosa tonight.) So in the interest of repping home base and all, I have to increase it to 5 stars. That, and really, does summer in milwaukee get any better than sitting on the grass in cathedral square with a bottle of wine (Louises will even deliver a whole pizza to your staked out spot,) or roaming the grounds with a watermelon mojito in hand? I think not. It's always better the hotter the weather gets. There's all kinds of other stuff available for purchase, from kettle corn to beer and wine to tacos to risotto! And you'll see all sorts of milwaukee and neighborhood characters here for good measure. Disclaimer: the music and performers are generally very good...but I'm just more there for the festive atmosphere. Be sure to stop in one of the neighboring restaurants or bars around the square before or definitely after Jazz in the Park ends for the full effect. See you there!
