Anthony worked his tail off serving tons of people and still making sure we were taken care of at the bar. Best bartender ever. Stellar personality. Even Better drinks. Made our stay 10/10. Great ambiance, fantastic live music. The Phil Seed Trio was the best!!!

The Bar at Saint Kate is so cute and had a variety of people. I love hotel bars and this one is definitely one I look forward to going to again in the future. Our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable and he made a great mezcal margarita for me. The hotel is artsy with interesting and unique decor and there was live music that Saturday night. One thing to note is the bar area is very noisy, so if you like a more quiet and intimate setting, this bar may not be for you.

Had a nice little visit at "The Bar" in St. Kate's. Only did drinks and appetizers as we were going to a play. Drinks were bourbon and Diet Coke, and Passage. Both were good. I was going to order the Passage but was afraid of the allspice. I ended up getting a sip and it wasn't that bad. Appts: Pepperoni pizza (forgot picture) and chicken wings. Both were good, for bar food. I would come again, for the drinks and appetizers, but more for the people watching. Our server Rachel was just super nice and friendly.

This is kind of an odd space. I've walked by it many times going to a gallery or to a show. It's always pretty packed. Hotel bars often are, since they have an built-in clientele. This is, apparently, a "place to be seen," a destination bar. My friend and I tried it out on a recent weekend, after dinner. The bar was busy when we got there around 8 and packed when we left around 10p. When we arrived there was canned music on, then a pianist with a singer, then a DJ. As the music heats up, the crowd increases. Drinks prices are in line with other local hot spots - the new norm, but high for old school Milwaukeeans. The one bartender I spoke to knew his stuff and made me a nice Manhattan without jacking up the price with high-end bourbons. Service was better than I would expect, as the crowd surged, but we were left alone for so long we could have left a dozen times and no one would have noticed.

This place is great, especially right before a show at Pabst! My friend and I got the prosciutto and Arugula pizza which was pretty good, the meatballs, we loved, and the burrata with bread was also delicious. We both loved our drinks as well. They had a band playing Reggae music, which made it a lot of fun! The service and bartenders were awesome. This is really a perfect spot grab a bite and drinks right before or after a show at Pabst!

We love the bar at Saint Kate. We have enjoyed drinks and food here before and after events downtown. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Our bartender made a great dirty martini and old fashioned. There were several bartenders working but they all seemed overwhelmed and a bit disorganized. If you are the bar you are served fairly quickly, but there were a lot of people waiting near the bar and at nearby tables without any acknowledgment. Logistics need to be revisited. But I love the ambiance! I definitely recommend coming here, just make sure you sit at the bar.

So sad it took me this long to get to the Bar! I absolutely love the drinks (highly recommend the Zimple) and the pizza! Such a great place for dates, girls night, or just to go get a drink and good eats. The service was impeccable. Plus there is live music and art around the hotel. Lots to do entertainment wise and the menu is great. This is now at the top of my list for MKE!

How would I describe Saint Kate - or more specifically the bar space in the lobby/reception/first floor? Let me count the words: · Posh · Upscale · Pricey · Delightful There is a never-ending treasure trove of artistic gems to enjoy while sipping on an alcoholic drink of choice. Some pieces have strong social commentary, and some are just pretty to look at. Such a neat idea to pull works of art into a space and allow both the public and hotel guests the chance to enjoy the curated pieces. The drinks are overpriced ($29 for one glass of champagne + one vodka white claw) but, you aren't coming here just for a drink but for an experience so I will let the steep price tags slide. The only downside was there wasn't a clean table in sight for us to sit down and enjoy our drinks. Lots of empty glasses and half eaten appetizers littered all over. We ended up standing near the bar. Bar service was pleasant and swift (thank you!)

Really nice and classy space, worth a visit or three just for the posh atmosphere. Great location across from the Marcus Center. Excellent selection of high end Whiskies and Ryes. Live music, comfortable varied seating, art galleries adjacent. Met some interesting people there. It's easy to meet people there because the service is so slow. You ever watched a Linnaeus's two-toed sloth ambulate? That's the speed at which you can expect a drink. My 403b lost $5,346.00 between the time I sidled up to the bar and the time I had my first sip. I had time to make friends with other people waiting on drinks, got to really know them. They were doing an annual celebration to the memory of their late "perfect" brother. Charming sisters and their friends who are like sisters. I also had time to observe the set up and figure out what the problem is. On a busy Friday night, there were three people behind the bar. Two very skilled bartenders, one handling all the waitress orders, the other handling all the bar orders. They were extremely efficient and working faster than I've ever seen any bartenders work. These two were young women, I was very impressed at their knowledge of cocktails and spirits. And that I was not upcharged for ordering my drinks neat (I bought the ladies next to me drinks, not to be chivalrous, they were waiting before me and this was the fastest way for all of us to get served). The third person behind the bar was a befuddled young man whose job seemed to entail slowly and deliberately cleaning glasses and avoiding eye contact with customers and coworkers. He was more adept at the latter than the former. The problem was not either of the two bartenders, the problems was that they were the ONLY bartenders. They clearly need to hire and schedule more bartenders. While the drink prices were commensurate with downtown and that it's an elite hotel, it's too expensive for sloth-speed service.

Waited for 40 minutes at the bar to get a drink order in. No eye contact from the bartenders the whole time. Worst experience.

I had heard about the Tin Widow's holiday pop up being one of the best area, the hype was not wrong. From the entrance to the ceiling and walks, this place is the definition of deck the halls. Unless you get here right when they open it early in the holiday season, I would expect a crowd. The drink menu is so fun with holiday themed drinks served in matching glassware. You can even purchase the glass/mug for an additional fee. A lot of the cocktails looked to be batched cocktails which help with the bartender's efficiency. Highly recommend making this place a holiday stop. I'm also curious to stop in after the holidays to experience it without all the holiday decor.

They had several seasonal cocktails in special festive cups, which you could also buy to take home. I got the Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus, which was good, but pricey for what it was. Almost all the seasonal drinks were $15 each and didn't seem too big. The venue itself is medium sized, but feels crammed quickly. There's more people let in at a time than there is seating, so you have to move fast to get a seat. I'll likely come back during the summer to try something else.

We knew Brownstone would be the perfect place to celebrate. All positive feedback! 1. Cleanliness and Management The establishment is always clean. I was to witness the owner personally wiping down tables and adjusting furniture. Seeing an owner take such visible pride in their business and never being "too good" to work really stands out to me and sets a great tone for the venue. 2. Happy Hour, Drinks, and Vibe Their happy hour is absolutely amazing, with affordable prices and great options. It normally stops at 7:00 PM, but they extended it until 9:00 PM last night! The drinks were made to order, arrived shortly after ordering, and tasted great. They weren't so strong that you couldn't enjoy them, but they definitely packed a punch. The atmosphere was flawless thanks to the staff and 2 DJs who kept the music upbeat and perfect. The entire crowd was having a time, singing along on cue and swaying to the music. 3. The Food We ordered pasta and happy hour appetizers, and everything was delicious. From presentation to taste, the kitchen delivered exactly what we were hoping for. I have absolutely no complaints. It was another fantastic experience celebrating a great holiday with an even better crowd. To answer your question, will I return? Absolutely! In fact, I might even head back after Summerfest this weekend!

Still a big fan of Boone and Crocket…read more I love the masterful mix of taxidermy and chandeliers. I love that they do game nights in style with a big screen and lots of energy. I love that I can slip into a dimly lit booth with my date and enjoy a exquisitely mixed cocktail and maybe even a game of cribbage by candlelight. I truly love it all. I love that they've expanded the food truck offerings and have a small food truck park on their property.
