The food here is great but the service is horrible. I hate writing this review, but I cannot ignore what happened. I have eaten here a few times and while the service was often slow the food was great so that buys some forgiveness. Last time though we came in the front door and seated ourselves and then we were utterly ignored. Like we didn't exist. The waitress came and cleaned the table next to us but didn't say a word. So, after twenty minutes of nothing, after we got into our car I noticed the same waitress cleaning off the table we had been sitting at. If you don't want the job, then quit. I am at a loss. I have never been treated like I was invisible. I will never go back there again. read more

Stopped in last Thursday with my family before we headed to the lake to get some breakfast. We got right in and right out. I just got the classic breakfast and everything was cooked to order and tasted great. Nothing too crazy about the price or the coffee, I really enjoyed it and filled me up for a good part of the day. read more

Oh my goodness!! Probably one of the best breakfast places i have ever been to. The service was prompt, friendly and genuine. Quick delivery on drinks. Felt like i had my personal server. Food was delicious and warm to temp. I ordered the lumberjack platter with the biscuit and sausage gravy along with a side of sweet potatoes and maple syrup. Mmm mmm good. Pretty much a friendly and local vibe. If ever going through Ogallala Nebraska during breakfast time, this is a must stop. Just make sure they are open. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays i believe. I'm not sure what the fuss is about this place. I should've had an idea when I asked if they had sausage patties and the waitress(who was very nice) said no because links are cheaper. I ordered the ham steak, eggs, side of bacon, and "freshly baked" biscuit. The ham steak was just a piece of deli ham. The bacon was that thin, chain restaurant garbage. The biscuit was absolutely not freshly baked. It's one of those frozen biscuit things I could've gotten at a gas station. Everything I ate was probably ordered from Sysco or US Foods. Nothing fresh or homemade. Embarrassing. Next time I'll just grab a breakfast sandwich from Casey's. Cheaper and probably a little better read more

Inside of the modest exterior is a spacious, attractive and very clean interior. Clean menus and condiments, fresh coffee, good and plentiful portions of traditional breakfasts. We arrived close to closing time but felt welcomed and not rushed - and the hash browns were fresh and fluffy even though it was the last order of the day. Two thumbs up! read more

Nothing better than homemade buttermilk biscuits. Small local place with great food. Sometimes it takes a while to get you food if you are behind a crowd coming in but still really good. I was passing through town on a motorcycle trip headed for the west coast and stumbled upon Caroline's just by dumb luck. My coffee, eggs, toast and sausage were perfect and our server was a professional. Honestly she was kind, friendly and inquisitive, she looked more like she belonged on my bike than me but as a server she does the place justice. I would have ordered more but I eat light on the road and the menu looked awesome! The restaurant was decorated nicely and had a wonderfully pleasant vibe that sent me on the road with a smile and hopes of coming back to discover the restaurant and our server are still doing well.
