    Zucchini Fritters

This place is a GEM! I ordered the Zucchini fritters from the lunch special, and it was unbelievable! Just taste like my mom's cooking which I never thought would be able to find in America (teary eyes). Not to mention how fresh all the veggies are and out of their own garden. I can't wait to be back and try more things! Of course the amazing ambience and historical stories really make this place unique. Love love love it! Thank you so much!!!

We really enjoyed visiting. The food was very good. You could taste the freshness! It is a cafe and art gallery that is located in an old silent theater. We live 1,400 miles away or we would visit often!!

Delightful! Stopped for tea, and stayed for lunch & a bit of shopping. Atmosphere is warm and lovely. Cynthia (the roller-skating waitress & co-owner) fixed us vegetarian salad plate, special order. Yummy Definitely stop by if you're at Lake McConaughy!

This place lives up to its name: an oasis of art, beauty, and free Wi-Fi in a town that looks like it fell asleep decades ago and never woke up. In a place like this you might expect art to look like hand-sewn potholders or cross-stitch murals, but never fear, the siblings who've put this place together can wield a paintbrush or lathe with the best of them. Watercolors, oils, gleaming sculpted wood animals, photography...you name it. Add to this a menu of edible, fresh foods for breakfast and lunch, served at beautiful dining sets donated by area families, or a leisurely coffee on the comfortable sofa, and you have a moment to remember. If you're lucky enough to be in town for their monthly music performances, so much the better. All of a sudden, the town that seems practically deserted comes to life. If you're passing through the area, plan a lunch stop here and soak up the charm. Or, if you're looking for lodging, treat yourself to a night at the Gander Inn, a stone's throw away, and savor the small-town hospitality on offer there. From the row of bovine skulls perched beneath the highway sign, you'd think this town was on its way out, so the Most Unlikely Place comes as a pleasant and lively surprise.

Unique and delicious food served on China. Wish it were open all year instead of summer only, closing 9/30/23
