The staff is friendly, the selection is pretty good for a modest-sized store, and they are creative in their ready-to-serve meals. I recently started working in this area & have been here a couple of times. I agree with the reviews.The place is dirty & customer service lacks. I have ordered from teh deli & the gal there had to ask me 3 times what I wanted & asked "are you sure?" The roll was hard & the sandwich was not up to par. They just hired a new cashier & she threw my pre made stuffed shells in a bag...they spilled by the time I got home. The gal in front of me was not happy when she threw her apples into a bag. I only stop in when I need something I can get off the shelves that I absolutely need because I have to get to work. The same day I was in there there were 2 cashiers talking very loud about "Don't ever buy American made cars" because one of the gals was having a problem with hers. I have to say that having had parents & also having family who lost their jobs in the American auto industry, I was appauled. I almost put my items back. I think this kind of conversations should not be discussed in front of customers. Keep it to your break room or after work conversations. Being in the store & in front of customers should be focused on the customer. I hesitate to step foot in there again. read more

I have to agree with most of the other comments here regarding Caron's. It's a convenience more than a place to shop regularly, even though I do try to support local businesses. The selection of products is necessarily small, as is the store, but I think better choices can be made as to what is offered. The fresh produce section is usually anything but fresh. The deli section is a bit pricey but very good in terms of quality. The real failing of Caron's is with the service. You get the feeling that customers are an annoyance that they have to put up with in order to get your money. Once I ordered a large soup at the deli counter, The server literally tilted and scraped the bottom of the soup pot and filled barely 2/3 of the container of soup, yet wanted to charge me full price for a large serving. When I suggested that I be charged for a smaller portion, I was given a dirty look as though I was asking for the moon. That kind of attitude keeps me from shopping there more often. read more

Great neighborhood market, I love stopping here everyday on my way from work. The meats are always fresh and reasonably priced.

I was pleasantly surprised when I went into the store last week. I stopped going there years ago because it was so dirty. However, I found everything quite nice in there, though I didn't look at the produce because I buy from local farmers. Their prices are competitive and it is a lot easier to get in and out of than the big box stores. Give it a try! read more

They need a major updating remodeling. It looks dirty. The only reason why its still in business is because of its convenient location.

I have been shopping here for several years to pick up things that I forget I need something quick. However, I am not always impressed with the service. Where I came from you knew the owners of a small market and they knew you. Always going out of their way to get to know you and greet you. I do not feel they make any attempt to get to know their regular customers and I am not even sure I know who they are. Some of the folks stocking shelves have been thetr for years and they do not say hi unless you say hi first. I know they must know who I am, but you would never know it. They have a nice selction for a small market, but their produce is terrible, it is old and several times items have been near rotten. Their signs also seem to be negative and not very warm and fuzzy. If you want warm and fuzzy this is not the place for you. if you want a quick and easy place to get a non-produce item it is the place for you. read more
