4 stars for the holiday lounge, but 3 stars otherwise…read more The 1927 Lounge is located just off to the side of the casino in the Ocean Resort and offers a mix of slop machine noise/excitement, paired against a quiet corner nook of coziness. The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. I should note that there are rarely servers in the lounge area, so you typically need to go up to the bar to place an order, which can disrupt the flow of fun you might be having. Overall, I think the 1927 Lounge is decent on a normal day, but much better when they have a themed takeover happening.

It's is an unlike anything you will experience at any other Casino in Atlantic City. The DJ is incredible and plays music for everyone's taste. The bartenders are fun, full of personality and make cocktails quickly. And then you have the speakeasy. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but as soon as I walked in I noticed a male dancer up in the cage, followed by about 8 women in costume. The choreography was sexy yet very tasteful. They have acts that incorporate thrilling tricks that keep everyone on their toes. I could not help but take videos so I could show all of my friends and family back at home just how incredible it actually is. You will not be disappointed!

Also a great place to catch any sports games with TVs above the bar. Tried both the red and white sangrias that were steals! From the happy hour menu, we had the open faced empanada that was interesting to say the least. It lacked flavor and the best part was the orange. Off the regular menu, we got the patatas bravas and garlic shrimp. The potatoes needed more sauce as it was a bit dry, but the garlic shrimp was the absolute star of the show. We actually ordered a second one because of how good it was. The shrimp and garlic were fresh, the size was large, and even the bread paired really well with it. Ended with churros as a dessert that was an absolute disappointment. They were so stale, not crunchy, and just simply tasted like it was sitting around all day long.

The bartender working days on 3/15/2026 was half lost in the sauce. Greeted us promptly because upon arrival we were the only ones there. I asked if they had Surfsides and he said yes but when he went to get me one he found they were out. We ordered three appetizers. He said he was going to get us sharing plates and got distracted 2 seconds later and we had to ask for them. When we were ready to leave he was standing at the end/outside of the bar on his phone. It took a couple minutes to get his attention. 1 - soft pretzel. The pretzel itself was good. It says it comes with spicy mustard. It does NOT. It came with some nasty, flavorless honey mustard type dip. It was not spicy mustard. 2 - buffalo wings. I am not quite sure how they made the sauce. It had something in it we could not put our finger on but it was not the traditional buffalo sauce you'd expect. We left two or three wings uneaten. 3 - cheesesteak eggrolls. I took one look at them and was scared to eat one but I did. They come with 2 egg rolls cut it half. They were so small and you can tell at first glance they are straight from the freezer. We left two out of four eggrolls on the plate. The food photos on their website are 100% false advertisement. I have no reason to ever visit again and felt bad for my family I dragged there having higher expectations after following them on Facebook for weeks leading up to the visit.

I go back once in a while for a special occasion. The servers and hostesses are all very friendly. There's a lot seating available. It has a subtle, low-lit atmosphere. You have to try their tuna crispy rice and shishito pepper appetizers! We get them every time and they are delicious! The wagyu tacos and lobster dumplings are delicious but not as filling. They run out of their uni often, so if they have any left for the night you definitely need to order some. They are pricy but are delivered fresh. They're always sweet and creamy every time. I love their toro hand roll and scallop hand roll. They have A5 Wagyu beef cooked at the table with a hot stone. It's priced per ounce and the cost can add up quickly, but it's a nice treat to try and share with others. The Chilean sea bass miso was rich and well seasoned. This is the best sushi place I've tried in AC so far!

I stopped in for dinner around 6:15 PM and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. There's indoor seating, a full bar, and a fantastic outdoor space complete with games, a fire pit, and one of the best music playlists in town--often accompanied by live entertainment. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors naturally mix together, creating a fun and friendly energy. One thing that always makes me smile is the sign when you walk in explaining that the bartenders and servers may be outside and asking guests to let them know they've arrived. Honestly, who could blame them? With the fresh salt air coming off the Atlantic Ocean and the outdoor atmosphere they've created, it's exactly where I'd want to be too. Tonight I ordered the crab cake platter, served with garlic French fries and coleslaw. The crab cakes were very good, packed with flavor, and the fries were crispy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. A simple meal done right. Everything was fresh and appealing, I eat small portions so I took one crab cake and some fries home with me. I did ask about dessert, nothing was available, I don't do sweets frequently, I'm surprised they don't request Momma Chocolate, at Bar32 to make some extras for days they are closed. My server, Bella, was upbeat, bubbly, and attentive throughout the evening, adding to an already enjoyable experience. Parking is easy, with both free and paid options nearby, plus curbside access. Whether you're a local looking for a regular hangout or a visitor exploring beyond the casinos, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is well worth the short walk from the Boardwalk. Highly recommended for good food, cold drinks, great music, and some of the best local vibes in Atlantic City.
