Nice place, over priced dranks, smoke in the air and sometimes live music. Nice enough

Sip and mingle in the heart of Hard Rock Hotel. The Lobby Bar is the resort's social centerpiece, the perfect place to meet up and chill out with your spouse or friends. With views of the hotel arrival, lobby, and casino, the Lobby Bar features an effortlessly cool vibe that sets the scene to indulge in crafted classic and contemporary cocktails. The Lobby Bar also hosts musical guests throughout the week. Nice comfortable seating, if you would like to watch the live music , there is a two drink minimum. Great place to relax and let loose , have a drink and listen to live music.

Located in Ocean Resort, the drinks are great and the bar is open until 2am which is a plus since most were closed during the week

It was the middle of the day so the place was pretty empty. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very cool. She had some good shows on TV and she poured heavy. The bar had a bunch of funny signs all over the place. It's a chill dive bar and I'm sure on a busy night it's probably a great place to grab an unpretentious drink. We found out we could buy drinks from BS and bring them next door which get you around the whole no alcohol situation. I mean, if you're going to Bare Exposure in the daytime, you might want to grab a stiff drink beforehand.

When we asked for our second drink the bartender was about to make them and got stopped by another customer who she talked to for a while. We thought then she would make them and as other people entered, she was serving them first. We were 2 of the only people sitting at the bar with our empty glasses right in front of us waiting (we waited for about 20 minutes). We couldn't believe it! We were given the wrong change and it was just a mess! Hopefully it was just an off night but we unfortunately will not be back.

Well, the "Irish Pub" you know from the Monopoly game is actually this real property, "The Irish Pub and Inn", here on St. James Place in Atlantic City. Also, the game's iconic red hotel design inspired the game's red hotels, making it a real-life landmark for Monopoly fans. During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. Photos will not permit you to understand just how fantastic the volume and scope of lights, ornaments and figurines abound all around the restaurant and bar areas. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! It is a cash only venue. Make sure to come prepared. But if not? They do have an ATM onsite to help pay for the classic fish and chips or / AND the St James Potatoes. Those fries are like a poutine for those who know. The service is no frills but provided with pride and a smile, always. You can never go wrong here for a quick, basic, and satisfying meal and drink at reasonable prices in good company.

Love to find a gluten free restaurant in AC for celiacs!…read more The Byrd Cage is a gluten free kitchen (note-they do have regular/non gluten free hamburger and sandwich rolls.) The menu is a little varied-hamburgers, roast beef sandwiches, crab cakes, soups, and pasta. I had the burger which was delicious followed by the shecrab soup, and banana pudding. The shecrab was full of crab. The pudding was quite good, almost as good as Magnolia's Bakery. They're on Ubereats so I ended up having it delivered to my hotel. Highly recommend for celiacs going to AC!

There aren't many…read morequeer-specific spaces in AC, but Byrdcage had great reviews as a friendly neighborhood bar/restaurant, so we tried it for dinner. It's cute, clean and quiet, with a retro-'90s-gay-bar vibe: The Birdcage playing on multiple TVs and kitschy decor throughout. The staff were friendly and accommodating...until they weren't. We know Atlantic City is an expensive tourist trap, so $18 nachos didn't shock us. We were in the mood for trashy bar food and each ordered a plate: my partner got chicken, I got beef. Before ordering, I specifically confirmed the beef was GROUND beef, not steak, and was assured it was. The nachos were fine, but my "ground beef" was very clearly pre-made hamburger patties--probably frozen--broken into pieces, not seasoned ground beef prepared for nachos. But again: bar food. We also each ordered a $12 dessert: chocolate mousse with whipped cream for him and banana custard for me. What arrived was basically chocolate and banana pudding, likely straight from an industrial can. Okay then. The real problem came with the bill: we were charged an additional $10 for the chicken and $7 for the beef, the latter appearing only as a generic line item. The menu CLEARLY says: "choice of jerk chicken, beef or seasonal veggies." It says absolutely nothing about an upcharge. Everyone understands that if a listed choice costs extra, the menu needs to SAY so. In no world am I paying $28 for nachos with chicken. I brought this to the attention of the bartender and our waiter, and the bartender actually AGREED that the menu clearly says "choice of" implying you choose which one you want on your $18 nachos. The waiter, however, was argumentative and it became very awkward. Ultimately and reluctantly the additional charges were removed, with the caveat that "next time" we visit we will know. There will not be a next time. :\

2-Star Review -- Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, Caesars Atlantic City…read more August 23, 2026 at 5 pm I really wanted to like Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City, especially given the reputation of the chef and the prices you expect at a restaurant like this. Unfortunately, our experience was a big disappointment. The seating was the first problem. We were initially offered seats on a railing directly next to a very busy walkway. It felt more like sitting in a mall food court than dining at a restaurant associated with a famous chef. We were eventually moved to a bench-style seat that was so low that we had to sit in separate chairs next to each other just to be comfortable. It made it difficult to even talk to or see each other. The food didn't improve things. Potato Leek Soup: Served lukewarm, with very little flavor and a consistency more like a flour-based paste than soup. The bacon pieces were actually the best part. French Onion Soup: There was more cheese stuck to the outside of the bowl than actually in the soup. The broth tasted more like bouillon than a rich beef stock. Burger: Also arrived lukewarm, which was especially surprising since I ordered it well done. The meat itself was good, but the pickles were easily the highlight--they were excellent. The burger came with one small piece of lettuce. Fish & Chips: This was the best dish of the meal. The fish was good, although there was quite a bit of excess breading on the ends. There were also gnats flying around the dining area, which certainly didn't help the experience. Another odd thing for a restaurant of this caliber is that there are no restrooms inside the restaurant. You have to leave the restaurant and go out into the busy hallway to find one. Again, it contributed to the feeling that we were dining in a food-court environment rather than a destination restaurant. The service was just okay. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was memorable either. When our food arrived, our server asked if everything "looked" alright, but never returned to actually ask how the food was. For a restaurant carrying the Gordon Ramsay name, I expected much more attention to detail and hospitality. Overall, I honestly felt the service was comparable to what I'd expect at a local pizza shop or an airport restaurant in Concourse C--not what I expected from a famous chef's restaurant. Two stars. The fish and chips and those pickles were good, but that's not enough to overcome the seating, lukewarm food, lack of flavor, gnats, mediocre service and overall atmosphere. For a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, I expected an experience worth remembering. Unfortunately, this is one I'll remember for the wrong reasons.
