We purchased a special order rug and, as such, they would not accept it as a return item for credit. The reason we were dissatisfied was because we paid for the binding on this rug and it became undone (that is, the stitching to hold the binding to the rug did not take). This all took place within a few months. We returned the rug for repair and after several weeks we were told it was done. After picking it up and bringing it home, it was clear that nothing had been done to repair it. We called and they apologized for the miscommunication and we returned it for 'repair'. Since the repair did not work the first time, we were offered as a second option (with the first option to redo the initial binding that didn't work) for $200 ($300 less the $100 (failed binding)) a border that would 'take care of it'. The initial cost was $550, and now, plus $200 more for a border and they can not guarantee that it will fix the problem. What would you do? read more

carpet one is a rip off! I asked for sheet vinyl which only cost $175 but they want to charge me over $500 to put it down. And I have to takeoff the toilet and the trim! Truly ridiculous.!! read more

I've had good experiences in the past but recently had a very bad experience. First it was the sales guy in the office. He sold me the lowest end carpet padding at a very marked up price. I was surprised by how much it was and questioned it and he went on about how this was premium stuff even though it was the cheapest stuff they offered. He was charging .50/sqft which is just high, but the worst part was the guy in the warehouse who cut the padding. He tried to eyeball a couple of used partial rolls and give me that. I aked him if he was going to measure it to make sure it was enough and he said no I've been doing this a long time and this is more than you need. I insisted that I wouldn't leave until it was measured and I got what I paid for. He complied with a serious attitude problem. I'd rather have just cut it myself than work with that guy. read more

They came out and measured several areas of our home. After much time had passed, I called and they had to dig for our quote. When they found it, they replied that they don't know what floor we wanted. We have them a flipping sample of it when they left! Still haven't received our fine quote. Not. Happy. read more

The person who came to measure and the installers were all professional and timely and the installers did a beautiful job. Very disappointed with Carpet Bonanza. We drove from Jenison as we had seen on your website you were taking masking precautions seriously. I walked in and NO ONE was masked. I counted 11 people (10 were employees) and none were masked. Lost my business, what a blatant disregard to our state mask mandate. I will not be giving my $ to businesses that do not follow state mask mandates. read more

They refused to instal our carpet because we are a same-sex couple and as they put it, "We believe in family values." Well guess what, there are other carpet stores in the area! Terrible! read more
