We purchased a special order rug and, as such, they would not accept it as a return item for…read morecredit. The reason we were dissatisfied was because we paid for the binding on this rug and it became undone (that is, the stitching to hold the binding to the rug did not take). This all took place within a few months. We returned the rug for repair and after several weeks we were told it was done. After picking it up and bringing it home, it was clear that nothing had been done to repair it. We called and they apologized for the miscommunication and we returned it for 'repair'. Since the repair did not work the first time, we were offered as a second option (with the first option to redo the initial binding that didn't work) for $200 ($300 less the $100 (failed binding)) a border that would 'take care of it'. The initial cost was $550, and now, plus $200 more for a border and they can not guarantee that it will fix the problem. What would you do?

Customer Service is my wheelhouse I worked as a manager for many years at a major credit card. When you're in your own business, you need to make your customers priority number one night yourselves. It rubbed me the wrong way, and I just am writing this in hopes that they will understand the importance of putting their customers firstwhile balancing their busy work schedule as well. The lead installer was pretty rude and the seams are horrible. Every seam is visible from a cross the room. My last carpet you could not see a single seam anywhere. I have reached out several time to have it fixed with no luck. They are unresponsive, won't return calls and when I go in they tell me they will have someone contact me which never happens. He just steered us in the right direction after we told him what we were looking to do. Great small company. As mentioned in other posts here, the "showroom" is anything but, but that is where they are able to save you money, and the product is great. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I got a couple quotes from different companies to refinish our hardwood floors…read morebefore we moved into our new home. Old To Gold was responsive and quick with the quote and although their cost was higher than other companies we talked to, they could get our job done much quicker, which was great as we wanted to get the floors done before we moved everything in. Other companies were quoting us a month out or longer! The job itself was quick and everything went well. There were a few dark spots on the floor that they were able to sand out and finish nicely. We also had them interlace some new planks in a spot where the floors had been removed and never put back. Finally, we also paid them to sink and cover the nailheads that were exposed when we ripped up the carpet. We were able to cut some of the costs by removing the carpet and tack strips ourselves. After they finished the job I did notice a few drips of finish that had hardened on some of our newly painted trim and our side door, which was not a big deal but some might have been more upset about that. Everyone I spoke with at Old To Gold including the manager and the guys who came to our house was professional and polite.

So CAUTION, if you get any type of plank flooring, expect it to sound like they have lined the floor with sand or plastic bags when you walk around, because according to Flooring America, that is NORMAL??? I'm so bummed we spent so much money on flooring and just as much on installation for an install that is sub par and no one at the company cares. It is like pulling teeth trying to get them to respond and we have been very patient. This has been ongoing for months. I really wanted to love my floors, but every step is a reminder of all the money we spent on crappy product and crappy installation...do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
