I worked with Jay Land at the Countyline store and he was great! Very patient as we had a lot going on and had to select tile for master bath floor and carpeting for entire 2nd floor of our home. Jay ordered many samples of carpet (!) and checked available stock and helped me select the bath tile. He kept me informed and scheduled the work and followed up to see how installation was going and after all was completed checked back in. Luxury Vinyl plank flooring. Didn't even survive the install. Carpet Exchange and Armstrong have ruined what was supposed to be a beautiful 30,000 dollars dream remodel. We waited 8 years to save for this remodel and are devastated by how awful this product is. It scratches so easily that you will regret putting it in your home. We had this installed by professional contractors who do amazing work and who I trust implicitly. They have never seen anything like this and became afraid to even walk on it (so did we). We were so shocked we immediately decided to halt the install and contact Carpet Exchange for resolution. Customer satisfaction and resolution. This part was even more egregious. Carpet Exchange pushed us off to Armstrong. Although we were contacted fairly quickly by Armstrong, when they did call they said "we have someone in your area and can be at your home in 45 min, unless you can't be there to meet them in that case it will be 3 weeks until someone can get to you" (seemed fishy). Sadly, I was an hour away from home and was not there in time to speak to him. Fortunately, my contractors where there so the inspector could look at the disaster that was my floor. We were told I would hear back from Armstrong within 24 hours, but a week went by with not a word from either Armstrong nor Carpet Exchange. When I finally called Carpet Exchange, they told me they had been sitting on the response from Armstrong for a few days. The response, read to me over the phone, blamed my installers and Carpet Exchange management agreed. Compensation The only compensation I was offered was one box of the same garbage that I wish I'd never have bought. What I really needed was 1100 square feet of a different kind of flooring (that performed as promised) and help paying for the removal and re-installation of new flooring. Essentially their peace offering was a box of the same terrible flooring that would cost me an additional 1000 dollars to pay my contractors to rip up and reinstall what they had already completed. End result 6000.00 dollars' worth of garbage, 3000.00 worth of rugs to cover this garbage, and a family that is scared to walk on their own floor. read more

Was looking for about 1400 sf of carpet replacement in my new home a few weeks ago. Mary was very nice and knowledgeable and helped my wife pick out the carpet she wanted at an extremely reasonable cost. Jason in the installation department is a 1st rate guy and a real straight shooter with excellent installers. The installer, Sam, was very courteous over the phone, and he and his crew did an excellent installation. They were clean and even vacuumed before they left. They were in the house alone, entered through a lock box, and I had zero issues when I arrived at the home that evening to see all the new carpet in place. I was in contact with Jay who was great to work with! I picked up several samples and even went back more than once to get more samples. There's so many options! Jay was very patient with me and allowed me to take my time ordering. I ordered and paid for carpet and scheduled for install over 2 weeks ago. Was told to wait for the installers to contact me the morning of the scheduled install btwn 8a-10a. At 9:50 I received a call from Terry who I assume is the store manager at this point. She informs me that the installer(s) that was scheduled has called in sick and that I have a few options. 1- reschedule for 4 days later. Keep in mind that we have cleared out our home for said install. Sofas, beds, large cabinets and entertainment centers have all been moved to accommodate for the install. In short, my home is in complete disarray! Or 2- she would make phone calls to see if there was another installer available. I choose option 2 as I work for a living and am not able to take time away from work. Hence, that's why I scheduled it more than 2 weeks out. Over an hour I waited for a call back from Terry. I then called the store to speak to the manager and Terry answered the phone. She wasn't able to find anyone to complete the scheduled install and we would have to wait. TAKE YOUR MONEY TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!! This company is a JOKE! If they don't have a backup plan then I'm not sure how they can get ANYTHING DONE effectively! I've requested a refund at this point and have reached out to their corporate office and am waiting a call back....I have a feeling I'll be waiting a while. And in the mean time my house is a wreck and we'll be putting mattresses on the floor for our family to sleep on. read more

We worked with Melody at Carpet Exchange and she was friendly, knowledgeable and had excellent follow up. We were surprised that the price of both the carpet and hardwood was better than what we found for comparable products at the Big Box stores. After ordering and installing our hardwood floors, we went back a 2nd time for our carpet. When it arrived it was the wrong color, but Melody corrected it immediately and had the right color at ready for installation 5 days later. The installation crew was so fast and thorough! We've heard all the installation horror stories regardless of the store where you make the purchase and were so pleased that we avoided any issues. Oh - and we went back again for our granite countertops! We saw the same product at many granite stores and the big box stores, but the timeframe they quoted for fabrication and installation beat every one of them. I was professionally measured and installed, and we couldn't be happier. Very happy with our experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for carpet, rugs, flooring or granite. read more

Had a great experience here. Hadn't purchased new carpeting in years and it could have been overwhelming with all of the brands and choices. But Brad guided me through the process, explained my options and made it very easy. I was not certain what I wanted so took paint samples from my home and that definitely simplified the color selection. The installation went smoothly and I love my new carpeting. read more

Terrible experience. The first appointment the installers brought the padding for my basement and forgot the carpeting. They came back the next day with carpeting; however, it was defective and had large very noticeable lines running through the carpet. Several weeks later they came back and replaced the portions of the carpet that were bad. Unfortunately, the color of the new and old carpet did not match and very noticeable seams were created between rolls. We are now on the 4th appointment to replace the entire basement and the installers did not bring enough carpet for the entire basement, so the drama continues. read more

Zero stars. Ordered bathroom floor, shower, and entire basement flooring from Jay. He didn't get out of his chair to help us pick out anything!!!!! Once the order was placed, the tile was wrong but he didn't know it. My parents came to town to help us with the installation day, so we could go to work. My dad realized the tile was wrong and not the color we ordered. I had to call Jay and let him know because he didn't check it. Also, he allowed us to order an accent piece that couldn't even be used with the subway tile. He said "oh yeah" when I told him. He then asked me "what did you order? I wondered why he was asking me. He doesn't listen or pay attention to details. Today, I asked him to call me about the new accent and the right tile order, but he is off today. If all you get from Carpet Exchange is a "order entry" person I would recommend going to Floor and Décor or Home Depot. There is absolutely no value in Carpet Exchange for me. read more

December 10,2016 My wife Barbara & I purchased approximately 1495 SF of Armstrong Scraped 5" wide x 3/4" thick Oak Tongue & Groove Flooring. ROB was the Salesman out at The Lone Tree Carpet Exchange . The size of the showroom display was approximately 4' x 4'. Obviously it appealed to us so we purchased the wood flooring. Now Barb and I and my Son have a Home building business up in a Ski resort in Colorado. We have installed probably 100,000 SF of all types of Hardwood flooring over the past 40 years. As we began opening the boxes of Armstrong flooring (23.5 SF) per box We noticed not only that there were much more 12" to 24" pieces of product coming out of each box then there were 60" to 96" pieces... but that was not our only concern...In each box there was 4 or 5 pieces that had burn marks from the machine that was used to "Hand" Scrap the boards Now keep in mind that we had 65 boxes of this to open. After going thru 15 boxes we 120 pieces that had machine burn marks on. We used as many of the pieces with the smallest marks on. By the time we were done with the floor we had 3 full boxes of bds with burnt marks. We probably Put 30 SF back in each box and packaged them all real neat to return them for credit. We took the 3 FULL boxes back to the store in June of 2016 and I am writing this in Dec 2016 because we still have not received the credit. When we asked ROB the salesman to have the Armstrong Regional rep to contact us The guy told him there was nothing wrong with the product...He would not come out Our whole point of this matter is The Display in the showroom has no bds with burnt marks on them...it also has no short bds on it and we had both and Carpet Exchange and Armstrong just want to ignore us We sorted thru the boxes using as much of the product as we could All we want is our $500.00 credit for bds with factory burnt marks and Armstrong should stand by there material. We were recommended to see Mary Kastler at this store while redecorating our kitchen. What a nice person to work with. She is very knowledgeable and helpful with choosing the right materials and colors. We bought granite counter tops from her, then went back a few weeks later and purchased carpet for stairs in our house. People like Mary are an asset to have employed by any business. This store has a good selection of all kinds of materials for your home, from flooring to counter tops. It is very open and bright, making it easy to see the materials you are interested in. I have been in other Carpet Exchange stores in town and was not impressed by any of them so I was a little hesitant to go to another. Out of respect for our contractor I went and was very pleasantly surprised. You will be too if you try this store. I went back after being totally ignored for 20 minutes and gave them another shot. Jeanine appeared to be very knowledgable and helpful. I selected a carpet, and arranged for someone to come out and measure. The guy was supposed to call me the next day. Three days later, still hadn't heard from him, so I called Jeanine. She said she would call him, but if he forgot, asked ME to follow up with him. (I don't think I should have to be the one to follow up) He called, and left a message, and I called him back and told him the time he suggested was not good for me, and asked him to call back and arrange for another time. Never heard back from him, and on the day he mentioned, I had a doctor's appt. and get a message while there, that he was on his way, so he obviously never listened to my message. I called him back IMMEDIATELY, and he didn't answer the phone. After all this, we finally arrange a time, he comes and measures. Jeanine was to email me a quote, and about 10 days later, I still don't have it. With so many problems just to get help in the store initially, troubles scheduling for measurement, getting a quote, and just the number of bad reviews this store has gotten, I've decided to go elsewhere. read more

After a recent remodel I needed to purchase carpet. I walked into Carpet Exchange knowing I needed to pick out new carpet, but I had no idea what type of carpet was going to work best. I was fortunate to work with Jay Land, he spent a lot of time walking me through the best options and gave me several carpet samples to take home to make sure the color was just right. The install was quick and turned out perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I would recommend Carpet Exchange in Highlands Ranch to anyone looking for a seamless experience while shopping for carpet or flooring. I had a great experience with Tom in the show room. He was very helpful and placed my order for my carpet and tile. He also checked back with me before and after the installation. My good experience ended there. I was sent a different crew to install my tile other than the guy Chris, that measured and bid out the job. They were disorganized and inexperience in my opinion. They almost used the wrong grout and left many areas of tile uneven. They also did not put back furniture that I had paid to have removed and replaced. When I called Tom, he passed the word on to Chris, who passed the word on to Peter. He tried to tell me I was too picky as far as the tile and in regards to the furniture, my husband was at fault for not reminding them. Really! I had to wait several weeks for the repair of the tile (Peter was on vacation). Him and one of his crew finally arrived and removed and replaced the high tile. I was home for most of the repair but had to run an errand. When I got back home I noticed that they had left numerous tools, I sponge, tape measure, carpenters pencil. Interesting, they were in that such of a hurry to leave. I discovered soon enough why. In the process to replace the tile, they had to move my brand new stainless steel stove. With grout covered hands they grabbed my stove and left grout and scratches all over it. Unbelievable! I sent Chris a text telling him of my frustration and I was basically ignored. There has been no further contact. I will not do business with Carpet Exchange again due to the installation crew. Wish I had read the reviews here before making my choice. Not happy! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The first flooring installation went fine, but when my upstairs neighbor leaked water into my condo and part of my floors had to be fixed it took 3 months for them to assist in fixing it. The 1st installer told me I could tear up my old laminate myself, seriously?? Then he told me he would remove the old flooring but "I would have to be careful walking around without a floor for a month, that it would be risky". When the time finally came to replace the floors, not enough material was ordered. When the 2nd installer came a THIRD time to my house to replace my ruined laminite, the boxes of laminate that came from the warehouse were scrated and dented. 3 months later, 2 installers, multiple trips to my home and working with the installation manager that was no help, I finally have my flooring I paid for. I would not recommend using this Carpet Exchange. read more
