Wanted to update my review - my husband and I did end up using Veterans One to do our floors after a misunderstanding about the down-payment, and it was an overall seamless process. We are mostly happy with how our floors turned out! Highly recommend LVT if you have dogs like we do. A couple of odd things to note: - The contractor who Veterans One hired to install the flooring we purchased from them was maybe a bit shady. They said our basement was uneven and they would need to put a product down and let dry to even it out. They said it would be cheaper if they did it and if we didn't go through Veterans One. This was a couple of years ago, but I believe we had to pay him around $500 for this, and the floor is still very uneven. There is definitely a space in between the flooring and the base. - Maybe a week after the floors were installed, one of the caps on a step broke. They sent their contractor out to replace it. A few days later, it broke again. After that, Veterans One refused to fix it and said it was our fault. Every other step is fine, it is just the one that had an issue and needed replaced. We didn't have the tools to replace the cap ourselves, so we have been living with a cracked cap for awhile now. My husband did just order the part we need through Veterans One (it is an exclusive product to this franchise and around $200 - yikes.) and we will be attempting to fix it ourselves. Walt, the owner, has been extremely helpful and responsive throughout the process and helped us with options and suggestions that fit our budget. First of all it's not super crowded there so you don't feel pressure to hurry up and make your decision nor do you feel like you can get anyone's help when you have a question. We were in search of tile for our bathroom floor and the actual custom shower. They had so many choices in different types of tile that we had a wonderful time Learning about and choosing our new bathroom tiles! Walt was our salesman and he was so knowledgeable, kind and super helpful. We also had the privilege of working briefly with Adam and Bill Welbon. After we ordered all of our tile, it all came in two days before they told us it would so that was an extra bonus! There were many more expensive options that we could have gone with, but he actually recommended flooring that better fits our need and the look we were looking for, and it was an even better deal. After dealing with many other businesses who were just trying to "up-sale" us without any care about our actual needs, this was a refreshing interaction and has made us lifelong customers. The installation was simple and they worked both efficiently and professionally. A year into living on our new floor and we couldn't be happier with it. We had a house fire in Feb of 2019. We had to replace our entire 1st level laminate flooring as well as carpeted stair case and carpet in our 2nd story. This place came recommended by the contractor that was doing the restoration to our house. At our initial appointment the rep was good at recommending the type of carpet and laminate that we should use. The problem with this company was when the installation took place. We received a less then agreed upon padding and the amount of carpet we received was not enough to finish the job. Two stairs were left uncovered even though this was measured 3 times. We did not receive the correct colored safety bull nose, as we had requested a solid colored one to be able to differentiate the level change from entry way to living room. We have already had two people fall because of the lack of being able to differentiate the step down into the living room. When the laminate was put in, they covered one of our heater vents. They installed two chipped ceramic tiles in our upstairs bathroom and really didn't want to come back and fix it. The overall issue with this company was lack of communication, poor follow through on agreed plans, poor planning and lack luster installation work read more

I'm upset that Yelp makes me give at least one star. This place deserves negative stars if that was possible. I've never EVER dealt with such an awful place. We had a flood in our basement which was covered by insurance. They came and put the new carpet in but completely put it on crooked. The lines on the carpet were visibly uneven. I said something to them December 4, 2017 and asked them to come fix it and sent pictures showing how awful the job was. He said he would have someone come and replace it. Today is October 12, 2018 and it was finally completed...ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR!!! Emails went unanswered, ignored, or answered and then nobody showed up. Today when they finally showed up, they left the door open and one of my dogs got out. Took me a half hour to chase down my dog and dodge cars at the same time. One of them could have cared less that this happened. He was laughing about it...LAUGHING!!!! It's 30 degrees outside, why he thought leaving the door open was appropriate boggles my mind. They finally put the carpet in and when I went to check it, I had to run after them to come pick up the trash and staples they left on the stairs. One of us or my pets could have stepped on those staples and done some real damage. Also, for some reason one of them decided to use the bathroom without telling us and closed the bathroom door locking the cats out so they couldn't get to the litter box so one of them ended up pooping on the carpet because he closed the bathroom door. Why would you close a bathroom door that has a litter box in it and not close the front door when we have 4 dogs and it's 30 degrees outside?!!! Do not work with this company!! They are awful, rude, and lazy. read more

Please do not use Veterans Flooring for your floor. My floor had water damage and they came out and put in the floor. My floor has white spots in it one of them about 2" x 3". The floor has holes in it - they told me the holes in the wood would go away, Instead they have become larger. The floor has chips in some of the wood strips. The strips in some places were not flush against each other which is why we needed the filler and the filler shows immensely. There are short pieces instead of long pieces and in some cases 4 short pieces are all together. It is a terrible looking floor of which I am ashamed. Veterans Flooring has refused to fix this floor. Please do not take a chance on Veterans Flooring as they will not produce for you a fine looking floor! read more

Carpet is decent, but the installation was absolutely terrible!! we called immediately about being able to see all of the seams, but never got a response. After 6 months the carpet started to lift and now we have ripples in every single room! They get 2 stars just because the carpet is of pretty good quality, but we would never use them again unless they get different installers! read more

AT ALL COSTS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Verteran's Carpet One was hired by Lionsbridge Contractor Group to complete a flood restoration in two levels of my home. S&S Floor Surfacing Inc was then contracted as a 3rd tier sub-contractor to complete a flood restoration in two levels of my home. They didn't complete the initial work for 6 months with no explanations from Verteran's Carpet One. When the work was initially completed the floors looked unbelievably terrible. The issues with the flooring were as follows, vapor barrier was not installed under the wood flooring, wood was not left to acclimate prior to installation, initial unfilled gaps of a 1/16th of an inch are present between old and new sections of flooring, surface finish has dirt in it all over the floor, finish is uneven with some areas not getting any finish, nail holes were not filled, pencils lines are present under the finish, gapping between 1/32nd of and inch and 1/16th of an inch over the whole floor within a week due to lack of acclimation, filling is chipping out, because of separation of boards edges are sharp and catch as you walk over them. Verteran's Carpet One then started work to replace carpet in the damaged areas. During both the wood flooring and carpet replacement I stayed in temp housing covered by the insurance company. The project manager Chris Fall at Veterans Carpet One lied to the insurance company claiming that they had completed the work when the carpet wasn't even installed leaving me and my dogs without a place to live as the insurance company refused to pay for temp housing "after the job had been completed". The owner of S&S Floor Surfacing Inc came to the home to review the issue with the wood flooring and agreed the repairs were not done to his standards but after discussion with the project manager Chris Fall at Veterans Carpet One they refused to fix the issues. Veterans Carpet One hired an independent inspector to document the condition of the floor and confirmed with a 20 page report that the flooring was not done properly. Veterans Carpet One refused to fix the issues but offered to add a coat of finish. Lionsbridge Contractor Group said to pursue any additional effort would not be possible until S&S Floor Surfacing Inc had an opportunity to fix their mistakes so they came in and added a coat of finish 11 months after the original claim. The rework did not resolve any of the issues previously discussed and the rework looks even worse than the original finish. Now, over a year has past with unprofessional back and forth and S&S Floor Surfacing Inc, Verteran's Carpet One, and Lionsbridge Contractor Group refuse to fix the flooring. S&S Floor Surfacing Inc, Verteran's Carpet One, and Lionsbridge Contractor Group are big on customer service and top of the industry promises but terrible on results. They are unethical, unprofessional, and the quality of their work is seriously poor. At all cost do not use this company. read more
