This store was about 5 minutes from my grandmother's house. They let me check out 5 LVP and SPC flooring samples to check in my grandmother's home against her kitchen cabinets. Her cabinets had what I would describe as a subtle pink hue to them and therefore it was very difficult to find flooring that both contrasted and toned down the subtle pink hue. After 3 trips to and from the store I had found the winner. I was a little dissapointed that the install date was about a month out but at the same time the need for expeediency was mine, and not their fault. That said the two sales people I interacted with were the absolute best. I could not have asked for better help. The install guy, Oscar, was fantastic with communication. He was able to handle add ons with ease and called to verify specifics during the install, rather than just assume like some companies do. He called me and asked me directly, and I sincerely appreciate that. Not only that, but the two last minute necessary add ons did not raise the bill substantially like it might at some other places. Their prices were fair and I feel like I got a good deal, especially given what I percieve to be the high quality of both the product and the installation. Wow. Must have been a stick up someone's you know what when they answered our call. We called to make our purchase after receiving the quote. I don't recall who picked up, but they picked up very unprofessionally. Told the woman who we had talked to on Saturday and was immediately followed up with "She's not in today"... Okay. Didn't ask or care, we just want to put our order through. Anyways, we said that's okay and just wanted to make our purchase. The lady then acts like we're forcing her to do something out her scope of work. She then mispronounces our last name followed up with an "okay" in a rude tone. And then after being corrected, she gets upset and says that she doesn't want to talk to us anymore and that someone else will call us back. No thanks! We'll take our business elsewhere. read more

We just had all of our floors replaced by Carpet One. From the first day of looking at options for our new floors to the delivery and installation of our new floors, we had such a positive experience! I was working with a designer and she brought me to Carpet One. The staff at the store educated me about the pros and cons of the different types of flooring. My husband and I were on the fence about ripping out the tile in our kitchen and family room and we decided to go for it after talking to our Project Manager, Ken Cormier. We chose laminate for the common living areas. Felix, Xavier, Jose and Enoch removed the tile and installed the laminate. They were a great team! We stayed at a VRBO with our dog while they were removing the tile. But we came everyday to see the progress. They were always polite and professional and hard working! The next step was to rip the carpet out of our bedrooms and replace it with new carpet. It was a different team, Yovany, Angel and I think one other man, but I've forgotten his name. We had the same experience! Hard working, professional and polite! They did a beautiful job. In both cases, they kept everything tidy and removed all of the trash before they left. Ken, was very patient with all of our many questions! And he always responded quickly. He showed up when he said he was going to show up. In fact, that was another plus. If they told us the installer would be here at 8, they were here at 8! Nobody was ever late! Then we ordered a couple of area rugs. They arrived a couple of weeks later and Yovany and Angel delivered them and placed them where we wanted them. Sharon in the showroom was very helpful in helping me to find the "perfect" rugs to complement our flooring and furniture. I won't go anywhere else after this experience. Price wise, I know we got a fair deal. Customer service was great and the installers made it a great experience all the way around. Our home is mostly hardwood flooring. We have about 300 sqft of carpeting between the spiral staircase and upstairs hallway. The original carpet has not been changed since we moved in like 7+ years ago and with an increasingly mobile and curious toddler it was time for a carpet replacement! The project was done by Carpet One over the span of a few months and overall they delivered a nice product and we are happy with the carpet. Installation had a few minor hiccups so I'd rate 4 stars. Planning: They have a pretty impressive showroom of different carpet styles (and hardwood flooring, despite the store's name). Sharon helped me review some of the products and gave us lots of carpet samples to take home to compare. She has a pretty sharp sense of humor which I found amusing too. Measurement: Oscar came out a few weeks later and did all the measurements. These days, its not done by tape measure but by using some digital tool for greater accuracy. He also acted as the project manager and did the official price quote, ordering of parts, and scheduling the install. Installation: A few weeks later, its installation day. Even with just 300 sqft of carpet, it took 2 guys over 7 hours to complete the job! The job entailed removal of the old carpeting, removal of the pad, cleanup and prep, installation of the new pad and carpet, and cleanup again. The spiral staircase took the longest since each step was done one at a time. At some point, the installer had to do MMA-style knee thrusts to secure the carpet against the step, LOL! The overall product was great - my two dings are (1) there were a bunch of loose staples left after the job, and (2) the job took longer than advertised, which was not a huge deal but we had to coordinate timing and cleanup before the little one comes home from day care. TIps: Even though they do a reasonable clean-up job, there can still be loose staples that are hard to see. We managed to collect most of the staples through using wet Swiffers along the hardwood edges, i-Robot Zoomba on the carpet, and then two passes of wet vacuuming with our new Bissell 2X Revolution. read more

We were so lucky to get Rhonda who was extremely patient, knowledgeable and truly went out of her way to help us get the rug we want, but most importantly the most beautiful high quality hardwood (real wood) floors. NO other sale person at that store could care less to help us and one sale person (a guy) even told us real wood floor is not really doable and he should know because he's been doing this for a very long time! We came to Carpet One because of all the positive reviews on Yelp. As soon as we stepped into the showroom, we were greeted with a friendly, warm but non-pushy staff. She showed us around and gave me all the information we needed. We knew right there, we wanted to go with this place! When it came to getting our project started, our PM was Rhonda. From getting a quick price quote to ordering materials and getting the crew onsite. Everything went pretty smoothly. Rhonda was great at communicating! When there was any slight issues, Rhonda made sure to source a solution first before she called us. We were very informed all the way. Our upstair hallway was slopped and it was difficult to install hardwood floor panels on a slopped surface, but Rhonda was able to find a pro who had experience with that, we were so happy that they did their best to meet our requests! The most impressive thing about Rhonda was that she helped us fixing up our damaged floor panels (from the movers, not related to Carpet One). Rhonda helped us like she was an old friend! We had a great experience with Carpet One! Sure you can probably find another place that is cheaper but you will not get the same level of service you get here! Had a great experience with the sales staff and was ready to move forward with purchase and installation of carpet and laminate. Rhonda our project manager came to our home and we decided to include installation of new baseboards. Was told they would be painted and finished after installation. Received our estimate and found out the baseboards would not be finished and we would need to hire someone to fill the seams and holes and paint. Due to this inaccurate representation I asked for changes to the estimate to make sure any damage to our newly renovated cabinets would be covered due to installation of the flooring. Instead of calling me, I received an email from Rhonda that they couldn't meet my expectations (essentially take responsibility if they damaged my cabinets or anything else during the flooring installation) and did not think I was the right fit for them as a customer. We contacted Carpet One about installing vinyl luxury in a complete remodel of a kitchen, laundry room and small bathroom. Ken came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate. They ordered the material we chose and kept it in their warehouse until we reached that stage in our remodel. The installer did a fantastic job and had over 30 years of experience, which showed in the quality of his work. NOTE: It was an estimated two-day job and the cost estimate reflected that. But I took extra time and energy to move the fridge, washer and dryer in advance. Because of that the installer didn't have to do it and was able to complete the job in one day. We were happy about that but gave it no further thought. A couple of days later we got an email from Ken who said they were knocking off $800 for not having to come out a second day. Had a good experience from the moment I walked into the showroom. The salesman was able to lift up each vinyl flooring samples out of the rack for me and place it on the floor for viewing. After selecting the samples, he loaded it into my car so I could bring it home. The boards are extremely heavy, so that was a big help! Installation occurred a week later and installer Roberto did a great job floating any unevenness in the sub-floor and carefully placing the color variation in floor planks so the darks and lights are dispersed evenly. read more

Finally after months of waiting for a solution for my carpet issues, I was told that the manufacture will not replace the carpet even thou the carpet inspector reported that the carpet was two different shades and with all the joints where the carpets connect were all messed up. I was given two options which both was not in my favor. When we first purchased our home 2 years ago they redid almost all of the flooring by installing engineered hardwood downstairs ( tons of leveling and jackhammering old tile out), engineered hardwood on the stairs, and carpet upstairs. We brought home a puppy after installing all of the new floors and unfortunately the hallway white carpet didn't make it through the potty training stages (my fault for choosing white when I have kids and pets). Carpet one came back a year a half later and was able to match the existing downstairs hardwood for the upstairs hallway. It looks better than we could have imagined (too bad we didn't do it like that the first time). They leveled the floor and it looks amazing! Ivan was our contractor and he was great!
