Excellent selection of wood flooring. This is a convenient storefront located next to Sprouts grocery store in San Ramon. There is plenty of parking. The showroom is bigger than it appears...given its retail style location. Fortunately, the price structure is not only competitive but better than driving out to deep random locations in warehouse districts! Nothing wrong with going to warehouses to get better pricing, but this store actually has better prices than big box/warehouse stores and higher end products! I was also pleasantly surprised at the variety of hardwood floor, engineered wood, and carpet samples available. There's also a nice curated section of tile. What sets this location far above is the level of customer service that I received from Ray. Most flooring stores have kind people... who have essentially learned to sell floors as a job. Understandable. But at McCurley's, you get somebody like Ray, who is a contractor and actually knows the ins and outs of installation and design. He has excellent taste and unbelievable patience in describing any product. Ray not only helps me meet my aesthetic goals for this project, but was willing to take the time and educate me on the whole process. This is my second time working with Mc Curleys floor center. First was in my condo in San Ramon, I used the San Ramon location the work was fast and amazing 6 yrs not a single issue with the floor. I just moved to a house in Concord and decided to use McCurleys again but now the concord location. Peiman took amazing care of us. I chose the herringbone pattern knowing it was more expensive and much more labor intensive. I had a few quotes and McCurleys Was not only the best price, but also the most experienced. I am so happy, total process would have been about three days but unfortunately we ran out of supplies due to the fact that herringbone Pattern can be hard to gauge due to how many cuts required I'm not sure how they did it so seamlessly but their work is masterful and precise even with the difficult pattern. Peiman had ordered extra material and had not charged me extra. I like a company who is honest and trustworthy when they tell you they will take care of you they are not lying. 10/10 If you go in tell them Larry said hi! Thanks again guys read more

Nice, quality flooring and sales staff. For some reason the installer decided that even though the new flooring he was installing was thinner than what he was removing he would saw off extra wood from the bottom of the baseboards and door moldings around the entire room. Lazy? Needs an extra 1/4" gap? Ask the customer first? Possible to replace 1928 door moldings? A craftsman would remove and reinstall the baseboard although then there might be a line where the wall was painted at a different height at the top of the baseboard. McCurley's writes into their installation contract that they are not responsible for the baseboard, so buy some caulking to try to make it look decent. Crap job. Maybe they're better with carpets. read more

We just had our floors completed. This is actually the 2nd time we've used McCurley's . The first time was in 2012 and that installation went well and the floors were problem free and solid. We wanted to change color of our floors in our home so I received a quote from Oscar and it was very competitive. David and his team performed the demo and installation. It was very hard work involving demo of stairs , the old hardwood floors on two stories as well as kitchen tile from the original builder.
