We called to place a pick up order, and the lady who answered the phone (was super nice) told us about 10-15 minutes until food would be ready for pick up. Hubby went in to get food and he who is picky about sauce on his bbq btw loved the sauce! Stressing the importance of tasting the meat before adding/tasting the sauce!!! That brisket plate-- amazing. I eventually tried their wings and the sweet potato pie. Yas! It's great to see people lining up and leaving with excitement--but not hangry . The food was still warm when we got home, so the texture held up nicely. The wings were not at all dry. The skin had just the right amount of crispiness without being over-moist and the juices were well distributed throughout the meat. I could taste the smoky notes and a caramelized layer from their BBQ sauce, which added a flavorful depth for the meat, although it did not go deeply close to the bones (but who could do that, right?. Still the same sweet-and-savory bbq sauce that I like. As someone who's not a fan of overly sweet desserts, I'm in love with their just-about-right sweet potato pie. It let the natural flavor and subtle sweetness of the sweet potato shine through. Food: Had the smoked wings, mac & cheese, and collard greens. The collard greens were good, an 8/10. The mac & cheese was ok, I felt like it was missing something. Even though the wings looked really good, unfortunately, they were overcooked. They were hard to break apart to eat and I ended up throwing 2 of the 4 away. Showed up with the hubby this time and ate in. It's really a nice relaxed place to grab a bite and Mrs. Carr took great care of us. We had her ice tea and sampled her chilli. Both are spectacular. My husband's ribs were absolutely perfect. No BBQ sauce needed but, damn! So so good. I grabbed the Tots with the chili and chopped chicken. Tots aren't just for kids y'all. So yummy! I was leaving middle GA headed back to Metro ATL and wanted some BBQ. I saw great Yelp reviews for CARR B Que's so I decided to make a little detour. So glad I did. Best BBQ I ever had that wasn't cooked at home. I got the rib plate. It came with 4 nice size bones and 2 sides. They were tender and juicy and seasoned well. They didn't need sauce. I like sauce so I drizzled some of theirs on the bones. I like a tomato based sauce with a nice vinegary twang to it (Think NC/East TN style) and theirs fit the bill with just enough sweet component to it. The baked beans were seasoned well as well as the potato salad. A little more mayonnaise than I like but it was still good. I sopped up the remnants of both sides with a piece of white bread. I washed it down with their special recipe SWEET tea. (All caps on sweet intentionally. If you got "the sugar" leave it alone) Tasty but extra sweet. I opted for the peach cobbler for dessert which was good also. This is a little down home bbq spot serving up great food with a heaping side of southern hospitality style customer service. I will DEFINITELY be back to sample more of the menu. read more

This barbecue place had amazing hospitality and the brisket was world champion level! It was moist, tender, the fat was like liquid gold, and the sauce was really sweet and nice. The Mac and cheese was the perfect amount of cheesy and delicious. Huge meal and big portion! The homemade sweet tea was so great. First I want to say the lady that work the front was so so nice! Great customer service. She's so warm and welcoming. I had the rib tips potato salad and mac-n-cheese. Now I'm from Memphis so we love bbq and we love our sauce and smoke at the same time. It was good, but need more sauce and maybe try not to put the fatty pieces. I will eat again. I tried Carr B Que's for my son's graduation party because the YELP review's were good. The reviews were spot on-not only were the ribs and the sausage outstanding-the customer service was warm and genuine The ribs were flavorful and the sausage had a hint of heat. They had a great taste to them. The barbecue sauce is not your traditional sauce, but it goes great with the meat. My Mom is from Texas and knows her barbecue and gave it a thumbs up. The first time I ate here....I only got the ribs. They were very good and seasoned well. A couple of weeks later I came back and ordered the rib dinner and I was highly disappointed. The ribs were old, tough, and cold. The potato salad was soupy, and the baked beans were very dry (maybe it was refrigerated and reheated).
